…You concentrate mostly on your own survivability (too much if you ask me). Personally, I don’t mind about non meta build as long as it’s not only selfish survivability. But if that’s how you like to play go for it.
When stacking a ton of toughness on yourself you will get all the attention from the mobs, this will relieve your party of damage and any stress. You however will have to keep yourself up if you wish to “tank” that many mobs otherwise why bother. So it may look selfish but the reason behind it all is actually very selfless!
On top of that when I look at the build provided I see the following things:
- “Retreat” provides Swiftness and Aegis for 5 friendlies within the 600 range
- “Contemplation of Purity” provides a 4 second Fury buff to 5 friendlies within the 240 range
- “Smite Condition” provides a 4 second Fury buff to 5 friendlies within the 240 range
- “Symbol of Protection” in the hammer auto attack provides healing and Protection to 5 allies standing in the symbol
- Using “Mighty Blow” in the light field will provide an area Retaliation buff for 3 seconds
- “Symbol of Faith” with the mace weapon provides healing and Regeneration to 5 allies standing in the symbol
- “Shield of Judgment” provides Protection and Aegis for 4 seconds to 5 allies in its blast radius
- “Shield of Absorption” not only blocks incoming projectiles but when detonated will provide a decent heal to 5 allies standing it the shield’s radius
- “Battle Presence” provides the Virtue of Resolve (Heals) to allies in a 600 radius
- “Strength in Numbers” provides up to 150 toughness to allies in a 600 radius
I don’t know, but that looks very selfless to me.

Just did a quick look over as I’m needing to go to work, I’ll read the entire thing when I get back. Just wanted to let you know that it’s a nice change to see someone go against the meta and say “I like this, this is what I do and it works.” Guardians are very diverse after all!
One thing I just noticed quickly is the healing skill, you seem to stick to the signet. I would actually consider going for Litany of Wrath as this is a Meditation skill and you trait them to heal and provide Fury. Or Shelter due to the two second block which works well with the rune of the defender.
Let me know what you think about that, maybe I’m an utter noob but oh well
My girlfriend and myself are returning players to Guild Wars 2 and we’re looking for a friendly casual guild that would love to have us. We’ve settled on the Seafarer’s Rest server over on the European side, we would appreciate if your guild is on the same server as we’re not going for a server transfer.
Our ideal guild is one where there’s a light and friendly atmosphere among the members, with banter and chatter on a VoiP program (like Teamspeak) to make communication easy. There is no pressure for any member to be present or active on set days/times, but there’s enough activities being organized to engage the guild members. Laid back, a group of friends enjoying this game together, helping each other out when needed.

Armor in question: Berserker Duelist coat
Description: It’s a minor graphical error, but it definitely caught my eye. There’s a red vertical line on the coat of the duelist armor. No matter which dye you choose it will be there. I covered it up with some red dye, but you can still see the line.
When using QZ with Rapid Fire the ‘’progress bar’’ doesn’t go any faster. Meaning you’ve shot all your arrows before the bar is full. The skill doesn’t stop half way, QZ just makes it fire quicker.
Not sure if this has been posted somewhere already.
But the ranger pet sometimes takes fall damage too, and just now even died from falling. And I mean dead as dead, didn’t revived or anything, had to swap pets to get him back up.
I’ve been a level 80 ranger for only a week or so, and I’m still learning new stuff everyday. The profession could use some tweaking sure, since Ranger <→ Burrows (AC) and Dungeons <→ Pets don’t really go hand in hand right now. But for the most part I LOVE this profession.
So yes, I’m proud of being a ranger, and I’m striving to get better at it everyday.

It’s a nice way to learn the different fractal maps, as well to teach others these. With use of Raidcall we all just used voice chat, which made for quite some co-operative team-play!

My name is Warlito, and I’m fairly new to Guild Wars. Only played Guild Wars 1 for a very short period. I’m currently a level 53 Ranger on the Underworld server.
I used to be playing this game with some real life friends, but they all quit as they did not enjoy the game as much as I do. Therefore I’m looking for a fun, casual and friendly guild that I can be part of, so that this game won’t feel so lonesome.
I actually like the server I’m on for some reason, but if it’s not too much of a hassle I might be willing to switch servers, if you convince me enough of course.
I’m pretty much an all round player, but I play PVE the most, and haven’t really done any dungeons yet since my friends all left.
