I found a solution to the problem.
Go to GW2 installation folder, and delete 2 files: Gw2.tmp and Crash.dmp.
That should help.

The TP has been particularly bad for me the last few weeks. I can usually pick things up I have previously bought or sold, can trade gems etc and look at my transactions. I can’t however usually search for an item(s) and then click the item to buy or place a custom offer. The search listing just sits there with the progress circle going round in the center.

Sometimes when the game offers to take me out of overflow and I accept, the issue is gone. other times its still there.. I’ve logged out and even restarted the game which has worked sometimes but mostly not, after repeated tries. Its seriously getting old.

I’ve just logged into game to check if some stuff I listed yesterday had sold. I opened up the TP from Orr and I had 1g 45s ready to pick up.. When looking at the rest of the tabs in the TP window I was getting “Error: Authentication Invalid” on each tab. I had to restart the game which cleared it.

Please fix as its costs me time and gold sat there missing opportunities to make a few quid.

Hi Folks…
So I’m leveling my 2nd character to 80 which happens to be a Guardian this time around. I hadn’t done any dungeon runs with my guild on this character until last night in CoF.
Needless to say all my skills & traits were PvE centric.. Now if I’m going to run a dungeon with the guild I would like to switch to a group support kind of role.. I did my best to switch things around but couldn’t really sit an ponder what would work best for long since everyone was sat waiting to get cracking…

I feel it would be marvelous if we could save skill & trait load-outs… We could sit and really look at a build in our spare time and save it for use later.. C’mon, ya got your PvE or PvP build going and the guild shouts for a dungeon or a frac session. 1 click and your switched…

Personally I think its a kitten hot idea…

I’ve got almost 3g in my pouch and its the most I’ve ever owned. None made from crafting.. In fact Ive had to spend real world money to level my crafting. The whole trade in crafted goods is shot to hell when its cheaper to buy the finished items plus sigils/runes to upgrade my armour/weaps, than crafting the things myself.

ANet really dropped the ball on the crafting side of things IMO. The game could of had something special like SWG, Vanguard and EQ2 crafting. Don’t get me started on “discoveries”. There is no discovery. Its the same discoveries every tier with that tiers mats. There is no way for a player to “discover” something and keep the secret to himself, thus crafting something unique and highly sought after. Just the same stuff as everyone else.

Its a crying shame because other aspects of the game are top class.

Can’t believe you’re moaning because someone hasn’t given up their precious free time to create something more in-keeping with you’re expectations…

I’ve stayed clear of the Mystic Forge as I consider it’s addition a lazy tool to get certain items in and out of the world, precursors being the biggest culprit.

DE’s and renown hearts are all well and good, but I still think there’s room for epic quests that take months to complete kinda like the heritage quests in EQ2. These few quests would certanly be welcome by me and could be used to gain the precursors with a seriously hard dungeon run to gain access to “a mystic forge” of some long lost god in order to craft the full item with the rest of the ingredients.

Hire me ANet and i’ll design some beauties !!

I can’t speak to all stages, but I’ve been doing D/D bleeds from about level 5-20 and it works great. Once you get Signet of Malice it’s cake. All you have to do is kite a group of mobs into a pack, Death Blossom 3 times (do one chain of auto attacks between each one) then kite/evade until you have 5 init again while doing some autoattacks and stuff is almost always dead by then. Worst case, you just kite with the Shortbow you have in your other weapon slot until you are full init again.

I’m a 43 year old gamer who plays every evening and most of the weekends. Love a good slug on the vodka during my weekend GW2 sessions. I’m originally from the NE of England so if colourful banter and adult language is going to offend anyone, then I’d be a very bad idea for your guild.

If however you fancy a Geordie gob kitten in your guild who has voice support for dungeon runs, WvW and general weekend yapping, loves to group up and do things with guildies even if its just finding a river in some remote spot to piss in, then sign me up..

In game name is Jallepeno and currently am on the Gunnars Hold EU server but will happily jump ship to which-ever you’re on…

This is one of problems with a game without quests… This shizzle would be perfect for a Heritage Quest kind of deal ala EQ2 !! I miss that stuff !!

My thief is lvl 53 and about 150 in leatherworking.. I’d like to craft some runes but I have never come across the required lodestones, essences and shards..

Ok how the hell do I get these?? And are all the rune recipes discoveries because I haven’t got a single one in production?

I have searched for “runes stacking” but the questions were about 6 set stacking…

Ok here is my question.

If I buy 2x minor runes of X and equip them on my head and chest piece I know everything is ok.

What if I go buy 2x more of the exact same rune and put on my gloves and pants?

Will this mean I have x4 the effect of the rune? ie will both pairs of runes stack together? Or, did I just waste money because the rune works in a pair so can only have x2 effect regardless of the number of those runes I’m using?

I was keen on crafting in this game, my intent was to create cool gear to use/wear rather than selling. There’s a certain satisfaction that comes from having all your gear self-crafted (would be even better if it was marked as crafted, and by whom).

Unfortunately I’ve found that the difficulty in obtaining some materials and the prevalence of great gear from quest rewards and/or drops means that I always get better gear elsewhere than from crafting.

If other players feel the same (better gear from just playing rather than crafting) then it makes sense that the trading post crafted items are sold so cheap – no demand.

I personally enjoy having only materials drop and all gear crafted (yes, there is a game that does that), but I feel that lowering the drop-rate of gear and increasing material drops (if needed) would increase demand in crafted items, both for personal use and on the trading post.

I think pretty much everyone else in this game has no problems with nodes, its the bloody horrible scarcity of leather and blues..

Well, you do need to put the stuff you want to use into your inventory, otherwise it won’t show up. Just having it in the bank is not enough for discoveries.
Then you can combine stuff.
You might need to create stuff first too like hilts and such to combine with.

I’m happy the devs are working on letting us discover direct from the bank as they have already done for production… Cant wait for it to go live.

At least they didn’t nerf the damage. This is reasonable but still unnecessary. This is coming from a bias Thief though

OP, I am 100% behind your post. The scale of the loot lottery to get simple leather is really bad. That goes for trophy items as well.

Please A-Net – If I kill a deer, I should get hide (hooves and antlers as well). If I kill something reptilian, hey I should get scales and possibly claws. I kill a Jaguar, I should get very good claws.. Spiders – Venom Sac, humanoid – cloth/leather/metals (from their attire).

Just seems totally random.. I do not appreciate getting armor and weapons from wildlife!!

The whole system needs a shake-up please !!!
