Anvil Rock
The Rangers Table [TRT]
Ascended becomes soulbound on equip.
I have an exotic, however, that just became soulbound.
I just noticed that the nicknames I set for some of the people in my friend’s list is suddenly working again. I’m guessing the recent maintenance did that. I had set them about a year ago and they’ve been reset to display names since.
My guild list was rearranged a bit as well. Wonder if anything else got fixed/changed?
Good job Arena Net!
Ever since the update right before WvW leagues starting, we have been getting terrible lag/skill lag at the Tequatl fight. There is often 20+ seconds left on battery phases when Teq comes back and fish heads sometimes pop up at 25% health. It is making an already difficult fight, that much more difficult.
On another note, thanks TTS for the awesome community you have created. Keep it up!
I’m surprised a server or large guild hasn’t organized together to see the capacity. Just have everyone from a guild enter til queue then count.
Been seeing a lot in orr on Anvil Rock. Added 10 to my block list in the last hour and reported.
This has been a problem for quite a while now, ever since one of the LS updates probably back in July or so.
My targeting of inanimate objects such as svanir banners (as pictured), blossoms in TA, and ice pillars like at Jormag, keep there target after its been destroyed and until it falls into the ground and disappears. I’m pretty sure it didn’t use to be like this and Its really annoying cause I have to manually select another target after its been destroyed and I often don’t know it has been since the health bar stays filled a little bit.
I had sent an in-game report shortly after this had started happening while back, but I thought I’d now post here as well.
Anyone else have this issue?
This has been done to death already. Probably not going to change, so man up and get it done. Starting locations on each map rotate weekly, so in 3 weeks you should be able to finish it easily, if you don’t want to do it the hard way.
Also, there are web based maps which show points that your realm holds at the moment. Should help too.
That would be true if the colors/starting locations DID rotate. But they DON’T. Anvil Rock hasn’t had green since the middle of March. 25 weeks!! Always blue, sometimes red, but never green.
Now I have monthly masterwork crafter listed under my nearly completed achievements and no way to complete it because it is no longer a monthly. Please fix this, don’t want to forever see that.

Fully agree the colors/positions needing to be more random. Anvil Rock as far as I know hasn’t had green since the middle of March. I have several guildies needing just that area for world completion. One even transferred for a week a while back just to get the explore done for her legendary.
Never mind …
This answered my question of what I suspected.

Another thing that should be fixed, give merits as soon as 15/15 is reached but keep course open for full time.
Anyways, we learned our lesson the hard way, will be staying til the end for future runs.
Does a member of the guild have to stay at the rush course until the event finishes to get credit?
We just ran a guild rush, completed the 15/15, but all left the map before the 30 minute time completion expired. When it did, we never got credit/merits. After going back, I saw that it reset, so we did it again and stayed that time to get credit.
Something like this would be nice to have.
I have been keeping a personal journal in a text file outside of the game. I’ve marked dates I finished legendary components, when characters/alts reached 80, how many attempts I’ve made at the mystic forge for my precursor, and many other stats and milestones.
When you delete a character, you have to type in the name. How about when you go to transfer, you have to type in “Transfer”, “Confirm”, or something.
The contact/friend list needs to be updated.
Currently, anyone can add anyone else as a friend and than know where they are.
I think there should be a confirmation that pops up when someone tries to add you as a friend, so you must confirm it. There should also be a way to drop it later down the road, kick your name off their list.
The main reason I thought up this is because I often see gold sellers/bots adding me as a friend in LA when I either walk by or say something in map chat. Often they add just for a couple seconds than drop. I believe they are grabbing my display name so they can later send mail or something.
If there was a confirmation before adding, they wouldn’t be able to do this.
I like the idea of confirming your upgrade boosts, but they should only appear for the expensive items like the upgrades. Anything that costs more than 5000 (or some other arbitrary number) should pop the confirmation. Anything less, like for banners, should be like the old system.
I brought this up a while back. Either make the cost more or prevent guests from using the vendors.
Yes! I was thinking the same thing earlier.
Yea that’s what I’m hearing. Don’t do much sPvP.
Anvil Rock isn’t what it use to be.
Our WvW is sporadic, about every time I go into EB we are outnumbered, and our PvE seems to be only OK, with temples, especially Balthazar, rarely done anymore. I’ve guested on and watched other servers where temples are done a lot more and there is stronger WvW presence. A few other servers even have server webpages ran by the community, something I don’t think Anvil Rock has (at least haven’t seen one). Even the leader boards seem to give evidence with there being far less people with 5000+ achievement points compared to some others. What troubles me the most, however, is the increased chatter in LA of people transferring. Had a guildie transfer because of the lack action and another who is always guesting. Heard others in LA saying they were saving up to transfer and I even heard that ALS, once one of our largest WvW guilds, had transferred. While there are still some niche groups/guilds out there that are strong, as a whole we just aren’t much anymore and that’s sad.
My guild and the friends I’ve made are about the only thing holding me back from transferring myself.
For those from Anvil Rock, and others, what are your thoughts? Are we a dying server or do I have it all wrong? Are there other servers out there who have similar feelings?
The dragon ball arena achievements (20 plays and 20 wins) don’t count towards the total. Maybe you are counting one of them?
Just happened on Anvil Rock!
I know it isn’t perfect, but until the actual thing is implemented, you could use this technique to determine when members were last on:
Yeah, that’s true. Failed to remember that. Still increasing rewards may get more to start doing the events again, especially the temples.
For the world events and temple events that have multiple events leading up to the final one, there should be greater rewards given to players who have participated in more of the events.
Often people will just swoop in at the end and grab the chest, not helping out with all the events that led up to it. Another case is standing there while everyone else fights Jormag’s lieutenant.
It seems unfair that some put in the hard work doing the events and receive the same reward as others who come in and get a few shots off, or just come for the final event. An increased chance at an exotic would be nice for those who’ve put in the work.
I’m not saying those who come in at the end shouldn’t get an award, that should stay the same, but there should be an incentive to doing all the events leading up to it.
Basically, improve the bronze/silver/gold system and reflect item rewards off it better, and keep track of the multi-event lines and give better rewards (or better chances) for those who participated in more.
I like how the queen karka event status is displayed in the corner no matter where you are at in Southsun.
I think all the world events should be like that. Jormag, Shadow Behemoth, etc. Anyone in the zone can than know when the event starts and don’t have to rely on players using map chat.
How about displaying the date and time a temple was last opened when you mouse over its icon in the map.
Some are opened daily on my server while others, such as balthazar, I have no idea when it was last opened. Would be nice to know.
I just realized that we have a crude way of seeing when members in a guild last logged in. By logging into the leaderboards than viewing achievement points by guild you can than place your pointer on each member’s point total to see a date of when it last changed. If a member’s name isn’t on the list I’m guessing they haven’t been on since the leaderboards were first introduced.
It isn’t much but is something, at least until they introduce the real thing which is desperately needed.
With all these nerfs to farming soon the only way to make money fast will be CoF p1
And than they will nerf that as well!
Stop nerfing! I’m never gonna get my legendary.
I think there should be more stats about your gameplay. They could be placed in a dedicated menu. I’m thinking of a system that other games like Skyrim have where a lot of information on play history is tracked.
Some of the stats I’ve thought:
Some stats are already built into the achievements like kills with a certain weapon, but they stop at a certain point and than you have no idea. Bringing these to another menu and keeping track forever would be nice.
The only downside to this is I’m guessing you wouldn’t be able to account for everything that’s already been done up til now. Still a system like this would be nice and could start recording upon release.
Share any other ideas on gameplay stats you’d like tracked.
Additionally, I would like to propose that Temple event chests have a guaranteed drop of 5-10 T6 materials. That will encourage players to complete the events rather than press their luck massacring hundreds of Risen while ignoring said events.
I really like the idea of Temple events giving T6 materials. Hardly anyone does the temples anymore and its because the reward isn’t worth the difficulty doing them. Something needs to be changed to make them more worthwhile and I feel adding T6 material rewards would help solve this.
Anvil Rock Server
Just saw and reported 9 bots going in and out of Sorrow’s Embrace.
This is the second time I’ve seen a gang of bots doing that dungeon.
The temple events come to mind. Why do them when they are so long and hard and the award is the same as doing a dragon?
I have a few suggestions for the guild system. Some may have been brought up before and I’m sorry for any repeat here, but that’s just all the more reason these features should be added.
Hope this all makes sense. Would be great additions to the guild system and allow much better control.
I just saw and reported about 10 bots, and I believe there was a few more I missed.
They were all appearing in Malchor’s Leap right outside the portal that leads to Curse Shore (Anvil Rock). They appear for about a second than disappear, teleporting to the next map or a node somewhere.
Some of them were using the SOME guild tag which was used by another bot group that was farming Sorrow’s Embrace and was reported earlier by some others, including myself.
Do you guys check the guild networks of bots that are reported, there may be many more that can easily be nabbed by doing this.
(edited by WrayWray.8596)
Yea Vorch, just saw them too myself.
Reported them all.
I have two:
One that shows the top play times of people.
One that shows people who have obtained a legendary. I know you could go by whether the achievement has been obtained, but it would be neat if you could list those who have more than one legendary and list how many.
The temple karma vendors should be made accessible only to those in their own, home server.
I recently attempted Balthazar several times without success mostly because of the lack of others willing to help. It seems my server (Anvil Rock) hardly ever does the temples anymore, especially Balthazar. Part of this, I feel, is because it is easy to just guest on another server, which has it open, and get your obsidian shards or whatever that way. If people were forced to do the event in their home world in order to get the gear and shards, maybe more would start doing them. Just a thought.
Hey, what about the gold sellers, or whatever classification they are now because they no longer spam the chat. I noticed the other day one of them adding me as a friend for a couple of seconds than dropping me. I’m guessing that they are getting my display name for later mail sending. I know they are gold sellers or something because of the garbled up name,1 achievement point and they sit there in LA all day. I’ve gotten to the point of opening my followers window when I port in there just to see another add me. I whisper them with no response than report and block them. It really is annoying and I’m about to the point of avoiding the area just so they don’t get my name. By the way, I’m from Anvil Rock, assuming similar things are happening on other servers.
