Still, while does the projectile become useless if the original enemy dies before it hits? It’s always been a practice to use epidemic just before the enemy died. The conditions should be added to the projectile, not transferred from the target when the projectile hits.

I would just like that if it says it spreads to 5 targets, then it must spread to 5, not 1 or 2 because some of the mobs get in the way. Projectile was a very bad choice for this, they are even lazy testing their changes.

I just completed the first achievement to craft Twilight, opened the chest and double clicked on the recipe sheet with the wrong character so i decided to buy a second chest of the end from the master crafterand and use it with another character, but he’s not selling me the recipe even though on the wiki it says he sells it to you if you completed the achievement, how can i do? Do I need to get weaponsmithing to 450 with another character when i already have one with it?

I found 3 bugs for now, it’s impossible to complete:
1) I got a rift spawning in the air so i could not cuse it
2) I fell in a spot through the border where i could nor ffall down nor jump up so i needed to drop the instance
3) After channelling the rift, nothing happened (it was the second ally)
(4) to survive the big attack i used the jumping thing but i got downed mid jump and when i landed i was dead, poor design.

It seems this mission didn’t go through enough testing and was released in an inacceptable state.

Either way, 1350 damage life blast + whatever raw damage I might do with a condition armor (no ferocity) feels kinda weak while I could invest those points in a traitline like blood magic instead.

311 Spite is better for a Sinister Condi build since you know you’re not using an Axe nor a Focus.

I would agree that 211 is better is you plan on using Dhuumfire but honestly I find Dhuumfire really bad even after this patch.

again If you are going Dhuumfire 323 seems like the right way to go. I personally didnt go w/ Dhuumfire so went Bloodmagic instead.

Signet of Spite is for power builds, use Corrosive Poison Cloud instead.

Signet of Spite is superior to Corrosive Poison Cloud in boss fights. But I can see Corrosive Poison Cloud uses w/ trash but w/ Epidemic I don’t think it all that useful.

The focus and axe traits don’t require you to wield the weapon to get the bonus.

Corrosive Poison Cloud does over 15k damage every 20 seconds without vulnerability or might stacks, pretty sure that’s more than the passive or the active from Signet of Spite.

Dhuumfire does 5k+ burn dmg on top of the 3-4k dmg on crit. It’s a hell of a lot better than spamming scepter OR staff auto attacks, so you’re better off sitting shroud while you wait on ability cooldowns.

Where do you see 5k damage on Dhuumfire? I have about 2050 condition damage and that’s what I get for the full 3 seconds:

+1, I want it too to be combat only. It’s really a pain having to switch specialization just to skip in dungeons with others.

I’d like too that mark of evasion would be combat only, because when you skip in dungeons you can’t evade and if you evade you get caught inevitably in combat. Other professions don’t have this issue.

Thanks, but i don’t think last rites works permanently. It has a 9s tooltip like vampiric aura.

I don’t understand what the duration near Vampiric Aura means. Is it like that it works only 9 seconds into combat and then it becomes useless? The same for Last Rites, does it only work for 9 seconds as soon as someone gets downed?

I thought the price would be something like 35€ at most, but 50€ means they are making you pay the core game twice without telling you. I’m waiting until it’s on sale, this summer sale thickened my game library on Steam, GoG and Origin. Anyway, whoever made the expansion pricing decision and those that are ok with it really disappointed me.

As long as you’ve purchased Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, you’ll automatically unlock access to all elite specializations in PvP.

meaning, you have a reward track for that and if you have purchased HoT, you just get them unlocked right away.

I agree with this. From reading the blog I think HoT will automatically unlock everything straight away, but if you don’t have HoT you can unlock stuff through reward tracks. I also do not think Anet will put new specializations in the gemstore, as this will likely result in a feeling of pay2win for most, and that is not something Anet wants to do.

I doubt that buying HoT will give you a complete reward track vs an unlockable reward track if you don’t buy it. It’s more likely they will lock the reward track completely to those who do not purchase the expansion. Anyway I wasn’t speaking about the 1st set of specializations, but about the ones that will come after the expansion. I fear they might put them as a gem store purchase even though it might feel pay 2 win.

From the Specializations news page: “As long as you’ve purchased Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, you’ll automatically unlock access to all elite specializations in PvP.”

This means that the playerbase will be divided in those who won’t be able to use specializations (aka those who didn’t purchase HoT) and those who can. My fear is that in the future, after the first set of specializations will be released, they will make the new ones a gem store purchase.

How would you react if this is the case? Personally I think it would be a shame for them to keep gameplay mechanics not available for everyone. Like you go in wvw or pvp and find yourself against people running new builds and that you can’t play. As it is now, only quality of life upgrades (bank space) and aesthetics items were put in the gem store.

I saw that when equipping the new sinister stat ascended trinkets, my condition damage gets lower even if they have the same condition damage stat points as my rabid ascended trinkets. Can you explain this to me?

Everytime I log in, I have to set my outfit dyes again because they don’t register. In particular I’m using the witch’s Outfit. Last time I logged out, the dyes I applied were in tones of red and when I logged in today, the dyes were the default green. Could it be that between updates the dyes reset, because I’m not logging in that much in the last period and I think there was a minor update between my last login and this one.

This also happens with finishers, sometimes I play a pvp match and see that my finisher is the default impale one, while I always use the mystical dragon one and I know that I haven’t changed it, not even by mistake (who would choose the default one over any other?). Anyway this has been happening since the new hero panel UI.

Update: It just happened as I entered Twilight Arbor, I had the Mad King outfit dyed and as soon as I entered, the outfit had the default colors, I had to dye it again

I like the NPE, the only thing I would like they reverted is the way they made the heart quests idiotproof (if only this could be done, I wouldn’t hate them for making queensdale a theme park for babies).

What's happening, can't access a lot of maps

When I try using a waypoit it won’t work except the ones on the map I’m in. Then after about 15 seconds I get a message with error code 42:5:18:285:101. I was also doing bounty training and I wasted 3 of those for nothing, since I couldn’t change the map. Can I have a 600 influence refund for those, it’s from my personal guild and 600 are not few for me to farm alone.

When i click on an equipment slot, say headgear, the equippable items won’t show only headgear to be equipped as it was since the first feature patch, but all the equippable items will stay in the left window. This has been happening since today’s patch. Look the screenshot, I selected the main hand and all the items are showing up on the left, instead of only main hand weapons.

It forced me to visit different maps to kill all the 13 (if I remember well) different creatures, one of each. Was my favourite daily and one that I used doing the most. I hope you can bring it back.

Salvagable items highlight disappearing

I don’t use the rarity border since all rare items have all the same item icons and I can tell the rarity of an item by it’s icon. But anyway I’m ok that it should not override the border. I think that the highlight is really useful when you complete a dungeon and want to salvage all of those blues and greens without having to look the item icons one by one to see if the item is salvagable.

After you salvage the first item the highlight on all salvagable items disappear. Since I always salvage 10 or more at a time, the highlight is highly useless if this is working as intended. It’s strange noone reported this yet. Please fix it, this was one of the few features that I liked the most when I was reading the patch notes.

Hi, I’m a fully accomplished player, I’ve done everything I’ve ever wanted to do in this game and now I’m trying to get a reason to keep playing. At the moment I’m in a big guild (150 members) and hardly anyone speaks to each other about the game. I’m looking for a small and friendly guild, the type where everyone hangs out with each other and with a guild master that feels present. When I say small, I’m thinking about 10-20 members. I would also like that there is a ranking system where players get more and more influence in the guild, the more active or helpful they are. Other things I’m looking for is that the name of the guild should be orignal and not a copy paste from a fantasy novel or another game. I play most of the time (99%) a necro even if I have other 2 level 80’s, It’s just that I enjoy playing that class the most and the others are just for convenience.

With the coming of the new megaserver system, guilds will be able to have members on any server without losing anything so if such a guild exists in European servers, I would be glad to be part of it.

5/10 the male one because the chest and pants armor does not have a cool skin in my opinion, especially when you move the edges look in fact edges where they should be curve (the poligons are not enough on some armors).

7/10 the felame one. It looks nice but it does not catch the necromancer essence. It seems more of a noblewoman rather than an adventurer.

Why do I have to go through all the dialogues and cutscenes everytime? I have only to fight the boss to get the achievements and all the dialogues last roughly 5 minutes of time lost in nothingness and boringness. I would be happy if I could have a skip to boss button.

I didn’t like the last boss fight because, even if that dragon was a minion, it was still a dragon and I doubt a dragon can be so dumb (pardon me for the expression) to get stuck in the same spot for 4 times in succession.

If i were you I would have involved an NPC to help me with some sort of magic to get him stuck in that spot. I didn’t see why killing 3 tentacles would get him stuck in the crevice of the bark. That was nonsense for me and totally ruined my immersion in the fight. I hope to see better thought boss fights in the future.

If only I coud do more than gather some crystals, chop some trees and talk to npcs, I would buy the home portal stone. The home instances have a lot of potential but as of now, they are as useless as a grain of sand in the desert. At lest add crafting stations to them, so we actually have apurpose to use those stones.

What I liked about this living story episode

I haven’t been palying the game for quite a while, but this episode got me intrigued and, aside from the story, I also completed every achievement tied to it. Then I thought what was that good about this compared to the last episodes of the first season and guess what: “I could do all of the achievements SOLO”. When I logged in the game in the past episodes i just checked what was to do and logged off because I don’t want to rely on other people to play the game. Some achievementswere doable only in massive events with a zerg (the thing that I hate the most about this game), especially in the Lion’s Arch city attack, that’s why I haven’t even played for an hour during that time. Making everything soloable is also a good way to make us feel that our characters are special for the world of the game, and not some minions, mindlessly attacking monsters with other minions.

I’m looking forward for the next episode of the living story, please don’t disappoint me (that means no zergy events, zerg=bad, i prefer a 5 man instance)
