I’m not trying to be a dick here but in all honesty dungeons are a pretty huge joke. I’m assuming a majority of players in GW2 have never played EQ or WoW to experience really difficult encounters. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to put GW2 players in the roles of raiders and try to accomplish bosses like 40 man 4 Horseman, Muru or 0 Hardmode Mimiron. Those fights were difficult… Not these GW2 fights…

Anyways at the Meet N Greet over the weekend I was given the opportunity to speak with one of the dungeon developers. We discussed how dungeons will be changing and some will be getting more difficult while others will be reworked. Also we might even get to see “phase” fights like Luppi from Arah. I for one welcome this change!

The point is for all you guys complaining about the difficulty… Either learn new methods of playing your class effectively, actually USE PARTY CHAT, or just group with better players. These dungeons are not difficult… Playing with people who expect everything handed to them for no work makes them hard…

So normally I farm the Clock Tower for the Trick-or-Treat bags however today I am not longer able to get into the glass window. Now I know something is wrong considering I make it to the top every attempt and had no problem but now I never get the loading screen or my face smashes against the glass. What is going on here?

I completed the puzzle but there is no reason to insult people using a comparison that has no basis.

In all reality this has to be mocked. I mean so many topics on people complaining about the difficulty is pretty sad. It’s like no one enjoys a challenge. The same kind of people who would never be able to beat Demon/Dark Souls. I applaud Arenanet for making something some-what difficult and allowing players to just figure it out.

Clearly everyone who is failing at the jumping puzzle over and over has never owned one of these and played Super Mario 64. If you had then maybe you would have the platforming skills in order to beat this puzzle!

Sometimes, DR doesn’t seem to reset automatically. I’ve hit the DR on a event just by doing it twice. The thing is, I did the event, went afk for around an hour, then did it again. However, if I do the same event twice within an hour, but do other events inbetween, I won’t see the DR.

When I was farming totems, on days 1 and 2 I found around 12 each. On days 3 and 4 I only found around 3 each. I would suspect that not only is there a DR on mobs of the same type, but there is also a DR on being in the same zone for too long.

Leave Orr completely and go somewhere different, like Frostgorge. Who knows how long the DR will last, so stay there for at least 1 full day.

This DR system is horrible. We NEED to know the rules so people like me and the rest of the farming community are not punished for playing normally!!!

Wow I didn’t know DR was 96 hours long. That is a bit over the top.
It just sounds to me like DR is punishing everyone.

I can understand what you are trying to say but using a sample size from previous weeks of obtaining at least 5 rares per hour to barely 2 rares every 2 hours presents me the idea something is wrong here.

After resetting my DR twice I have still yet to see a rare let alone a green. What is going on here?!?!

I don’t really play much anymore thanks to the bots but I was in cursed shore for a couple hours doing events today. I have full MF armor with pirate runes and a traveler medallion for the 6th, explorer GS of luck, and MF accessories. Got 1 rare during that time.

A week or two ago I would usually get 1 rare most events, and some of those that presented me rares would give me 2-3.

Today was a small sample so it’s anecdotal sure. But it’s enough to make me think about it. If they do change things like this it’s exactly the sort of thing that’s important to put in patch notes, ninja loot patches are never good.

Exactly! Something seems to be going on with this. I’m just trying to figure put how to fix this dilemma because even if I do take my magic find gear I doubt I’ll be obtaining more rares.

The day before yesterday I was leveling my alts (specifically my guardian in the level 15-25 norn area and metrica province for my asura mesmer) I swear I got almost no blues (mats or gear) everything was junk and whites. I also did claw of jormag event with my 80 necro and got a green rabid medallion

Yesterday I continue doing the same and finishing the same low level areas and suddenly I’m flooded in bags with a lot of fine mats an 7 greens in total (toons are level 15 an 25 today) and My Necro did Claw of jormag again and got a rare + another rabid medallion.

The difference is mine started on MONDAY and now it’s FRIDAY and it’s still persisting… =P
Luck is like that even if the streak lasts for days in a year the god and the bad streaks even out.

To be honest my daily routine is farming The Cursed Shore; hitting diminishing returns and logging on my alt for about 30 minutes and than logging back on to farm in The Cursed Shore for karma. That might be the reason why I am getting almost nothing for the last few days. I was thinking it was bad luck at first but after the 4th day… soon to be 5th I am now thinking I might be pegged. =|

I understand “bad luck” but a lot of farmers like myself have not received even close to the amount of rares I normally receive. As an example my brother and I just finished about an hour of The Cursed Shore farming karma. The end results…

Him: 6 rares
Me: 0 rares

Now I have over 100% magic find and he has 0… yet we both had 8 hours of nothing in between since our last farm (he does not farm even close to as much as I) yet this has been going on for DAYS. Unlucky streak? I think not.

Personally I’ve observed the same thing. Rares (yellows) no longer drop for me, no matter how little or how much I play in any of the Orr zones. Basically it’s down to bags and bones, now.

There is NO way I could be on such an unlucky streak. For days I have received nothing but trash over and over. Even now I have watched him pick up 2 rares out of one pack while I received… nothing…

This patch on Monday has seemed to have screwed up a lot more than just reseting karma tricks.

Very rarely now; I mainly received trash and farming mats.

Before the patch implemented on Monday I was obtaining a lot of rares farming in The Cursed Shore. After the patch I barely receive any rares on a daily basis. As an example I went to sleep on Friday morning at 3am and logged on by 12pm around the same time my brother was also playing. He has 0% magic find while I have about 130% fully buffed yet in the course of an hour he found 5 rares and I found 0.

Even before this example late Monday night up until today I have seen greatly diminished drops across the board. I have logged on other characters, gone to different zones, WvWvW and Jumping puzzles but every time I go back to The Cursed Shore I never see any rares anymore. When asking others it seems they are not experiencing this problem as heavily as me.

While I understand the idea of “bad luck” it’s been about 4 days now of this streak. So what exactly is going on here?

I sent gold over to my original account and now cannot even get it back… I could potentially support it but now I wasted consumables/money/time and now I cannot even get it back. Is this a time delay where I can send those items eventually or do I actually have to level those characters on the other account JUST to get the items back that originally belonged to my second account?

So every time I try to mail my other account; yes I have TWO accounts it’s preventing me and I receive this message…

I am getting extremely tired of this garbage with Areanet. First my original account was "hacked’ and when it was returned to me it was instantly banned for more than a week. So after a few days in my banning process I buy another game and eventually the original account is returned to me. So now I am trying to send stuff back and forth between accounts to save room and make life easier and I cannot even do that?

How can I fix this because it’s SUPER annoying I cannot do simple things like mailing items to myself because of this message listed above. If I need to put in a ticket fine but even though I love this game to death I am sick and tired of the stupid hoops they are making me jump through!

So I have been wandering around looking for this one PoI for a while now. From what I see I have completed every zone including the 4 WvWvW zones, the Heart of the Mist and the weird place for the Hall of Monuments. I even have that stupid PoI in Fort Trinity and for everyone to know I am at the level 75 part of the story quest so maybe there is one after it? I really do not know but this is insanely frustrating!

You might want to check your computer for keyloggers and the like. Seems like someone is get access to your passwords rather easily.

I am 100% sure there is no keylogger. All I want is Anet to give me a reason why I was banned because from my understanding it might have been a mistake on their end.

I am dying to get back to the game and I have yet to receiev a response since Monday night so I am hoping I will from a mod. Anyways here is the story below and the ticket numbers too.

This account was used for the early start program so I am assuming the time was going to end on Saturday/Sunday night. However I decided to not bother using it and applied my serial number to a new account towards an email I never use combined with a password stretching 20 characters of random letters/numbers.

Played last night (Sunday night or early Monday morning) and everything was fine; however when I logged on today it said my account was permanently banned for no reason what so ever. I never spoke in trade chat and just quested the entire time with my friend. The entire time I was just talking with my friends in Mumble so I have no idea what could have happened. Also the name I chose was “Infinitto Jasutisu” which means “Infinite Justice” in Japanese. So please tell me my fellow MMO players why I was banned?

Also to add to the headache while I was writing my ticket to Anet about the problem my brother (sitting across from me) saw someone log onto my account for a minute and than quickly log off. What the hell is going on here?!?!?!

More information; this computer is only used for games such as… WoW, Rift, SWTOR, Tera, SC2, Diablo 3 and so on and none of them ever had any issues. Also I’ve scanned and checked my computer multiple times and there is nothing to be found for any viruses or crap. I mean this computer is super clean, it’s never used for ANYTHING other than games. Any questionable crap is always done on the iPad… this is strictly a gaming machine and for the last 14 years (this computer is only 3 months old but giving an idea) I have never been hacked so what the heck is going on?

I am not sure if I am able to do this but I will attempt anyways because I really want to get back to playing this amazing game; but bumping this thread in hopes of an answer!

Another question I would like to add; I was curious on the wait time until I find out why I was banned because today I purchased another copy of the game and I would love to get back to playing. If I have to wait another 3+ days to find out than I just might end up having two accounts but if I can get this one reinstated than I can return the new game.

I’m assuming the situation you are dealing with is very similar to my own. Hopefully people like us receive a response soon.

I just really do not know how the account could be hacked again considering it was based on a new email and a completely new password too. Never even received an email stating someone from a different location logged onto my account either. Also the fact I’ve never been hacked or have never had even a slight suspension on an MMO before really worries me too.

I will post the ticket number but how was I hacked? I never saw anyone log onto the account and from what I understand the character was never moved. I never even received the email my email/password was changed or anything.
