Simin must have been nerfed hard because we killed her with 1 mes, 2 guard and 2 warr w/o dying and we were far from high DPS. Running the sparks was easy too

Actually the players you guys should worry in lfg are "moronic experienced’ and “moronic inexperienced” players. You know what is the common denomination of these 2 type of players? Moronic.
The “moronic experienced” are the stereotype players seeing the game the way they played and trained to play it. They couldn’t cope with any deviation from their game, hence rage quit & lousy attitude. Most of them couldn’t handle hard contents with either by themselves or with a couple more players and that’s why they need pug. By this definition, they aren’t very good players. Legendary weapons, commander tag, 3000+ achievement notwithstanding.
The “moronic in-experienced” are the dumbest, butt head everything brute fort. They typically know couple skills inadequately, not waiting for instructions when knowing nothing about the content, dying within the 1st 15 sec when the battle starts (repetitively) and making the game play so intolerable to even the most considerate players of this community. If they ever passed this inexperienced stage, there is a very high chance (like 90% give and take some) they will grow up to be the “moronic experienced” players.
And there are always someone in between. Without the moronic part, of course.

Chef, great job on the site. If it gains traction, perhaps we could expand it to other dungeons as well. I wouldn’t mind running other dungeons with people from LFG

Yeah, I’m not saying we can’t use gw2lfg. Just that this guild was created partly so we don’t have to. I don’t mind using gw2lfg, but I like getting as many from the guild as I can first. Nine times out of ten you still get good people from gw2lfg, but sometimes there’s just a bad apple.

That’s not what I’ve trying to say. What I meant is we use LFG for our group to put in such ads as:

Great idea. I am always willing to go in groups and help people learn the path, but it’s nice to have someone else that is very familiar with the lupi fight. Especially since I am not the best when he constantly targets me, lol

Content skipping is especially important for those who can only play couple hrs per day. Who in their right mind will spend what little time they have killing trash?

I have experience to set up a free website w/ events scheduling. Basically, legitimate members of the guild have to re-apply to the website so they have full access to calendar’s event. In there, they can initiate their own request & time. Members who want to group w/ that individual posting comment under that event to specify their wish to participate with that particular run. But I’m an old fashion guy, so I will only set up the website if Obal or Kumakichi gives me the go.
But it’s also my experience that regardless of the website events are in place, people just do not use it. They all want everything instantly like instant messenger. Heck, human nature. I want it and I want it now.

I think this is a good idea but as you implied, it’s tough to stick to scheduling—unexpected circumstances leading to no-show and then the other members having to wait around. And people not wanting to have to go to another website, etc…,.It certainly wouldn’t hurt to try it out and see how it goes. I think it might be good use for relative newcomers to Arah though. Put a time when you want to run and maybe the vets who log on at the same time will then initiate a run.

Just a reminder: for all the newcomers, if you want to run Arah change your status to lfg

I’ll group with anyone in the guild who wants to run Arah—doesn’t have to be with 4 other exclusive people. :-P

I don’t want anyone to get the wrong impression. I don’t NEED to run Arah daily but right now, it’s my flavor of the month—can’t run Arah forever right? :-)

I’ll start to make sure I have my lfg up when I am available. I am eastern time though, but am usually up pretty late. I normally get on after 7-7:30 pm ish. If I am able to help out, I will. I tend to do path 3 each night and sometimes path 2 as well.

I’ve been having a hard time finding groups as well. I think some people in the guild just needed one run for Dungeon Master, so now they’re done. I turn on my looking for group tag, but then usually end up doing some CoF or fractals, which turns the tag off. Whisper me if I’m on, I’ll probably go as soon as I’m out of the dungeon I’m currently in.

I think you hit the nail on the head here regarding one run for DM. I’m sure many of those in the guild did the one run with Obal and joined just for the heck of it. Maybe we need a new topic “Arah Vets Grouping Together to do DAILY (or frequent) Arah Runs” :-D

Hey Kumakichi: yea, 7:30 pm EST is not good for me—usually afk. After 8 pm PST and sometimes during the early afternoon PST. I gave up trying to pm. Most of the time I get no response or “Who are you?” haha

if you think skipping can’t be done still or has any uses, then you have nothing to worry about

You can animation skip the 3rd attack if you think it’s too slow

does the LFG status work across servers?

It could be solved this way, if the guild is structured to run in certain time plus 15m-30m of latency (whatever the best latency needed to set up a group), ie 7-7:30PM EST, 11-11:30PM EST. During that time, whoever wants to run Arah, has to rep the guild so guild channel can be utilized to broadcast message. If you don’t rep, then you will miss the message, unless somebody want to whisper to you directly.

I guess this would be best option for now…Anet needs to allow an option for guild chat channel even without rep! Shouldn’t be that hard to implement :-)

Is there an easy way to get a group going once in the guild when needed? Since most don’t rep, only way would be to whisper each person individually, which could be a pain…

add me if you want to run p2 or p3. I usually do it once per day with PUGs

P3 is the fastest with only 4 boss fights. The first 2 boss fights require no action on anyone’s part. Lupi is Lupi and the last boss is easy as well. With 5 decent people skipping trash and not wiping, prolly 45 min-1 hr. With all warriors or everyone with zerker gear, I suppose 30 min is possible but I’ve never done it myself.

I want the ability to place bid orders so that it is not required to monitor it 24/7. Is this so hard to implement?

If any of you who have run with Obal want to run p3 when he’s not available, add me. Then we’ll see how much we’ve learned. ;-)

Can we have the ability to color the underwear portion of the arah leggings? Currently it’s always the dark blue color. Since the cape has its own coloring, perhaps having the underwear take same color as cape.

I’ve done 2 runs with Obal as well…not much else to be said that hasn’t been said already. Good leader. If you haven’t run arah p3, he’s your man.

I’m looking to get the Orrian legs so this would be a great start if I could join one of your runs. I’m a hammer and scepter/focus guardian with full exotics. Best time for me would be your 12 am runs.

Is it possible to create a vanishing dye whereby it would effectively remove a particular subset of armor from character based instead of coloring it? Many armor sets would look a lot nicer if I could customize it.

For dungeons, I run a different build than for outer world pve. 0-20-15-15-20 with Staff and sceptre/pistol. The build allows you to keep up semi-permanent protection buff (with careful positioning) with duelist and phantasmal healing and illusionary membrane. With + boon duration runes/consumable and combined with all rabid gear, I reduce damage more than 67%. Works best with champs, vets, bosses or groups of 3 or so. For mass mobs, I stick mostly to Staff and + condition duration runes.

Build is not for DPS of course—mostly for support and staying alive but works well for me.

I logged and was about to post this exact same suggestion… Please implement this now! There are just not enough armor skins for one weight class to mix and match.
