Ok, so i dont really know if this is the way these swords always were but i dont remember some swords being so big i actually need to climb a step to take them off the ground ._.

Hi everyone.
Apologies if there is a thread like this already, but i went to the second page and didnt see any with a title implying promotions.
There are promotions (20% off) going at the moment on the gemstore with a bunch of items (many i expected during the acutal hyped promotion) such as armors, outifts, skins, etc.
Oh and the earmuffs are back, only 20 gems :p
There are some promos on gemstore that were not advertised (atleast i saw nothing about it)
The aetherblade armors and magnus patch are in promotion, and the airship pass as well as the minis are back, probly for today only since it says endind soon ._.
So today with the whump giant finisher promotion i thought i would buy one for me and one for my brother since he had no special finisher. However after i get one for me the “purchase as a gift” simply disapears.. Any idea why? If i had known i would simply buy it for him since i already have a finisher i like.. Or if i purchased first as a gift i could still buy one for me?
Even stranger is that even after i got mine and unlocked it, it still showed on the gemstore i could get one more for 80 gems.. even though we can only have one of the same finisher by account (this dissapeared after about 5minutes).
Actually i would like alot more if the other races were like that, superman flying style ftw ^^

And theres whatever the announcement is during the WTS finals on Saturday morning (though I think its something PvP related).
Would be nice to get the release date as the morning announcement, but I highly doubt thats what it will be.This. The height of GamesCom hasn’t happened yet. ANet has told us there is at least one big announcement coming Saturday, plus a big PoI on Friday. It’s like the OP is reading a mystery novel and is annoyed the detective hasn’t solved the murder in the first chapter.
Actually the big POI will be “show off the Central Tyrian Mastery line”.
Not saying its not big, just thought you might not know yet :p
Pick the fractal?
Dredge fractal will never be done again. ever.
They fixed dredge a while back.The panel room now spawns a manageable amount of enemies. Bomb runs are doable without wiping. No more clown car. I haven’t seen anyone gripe about it since they fixed it
That may all be true, but its still one of the longer levels, and give the chance people will do the path of least resistance most of the time.. so i doubt it will be chossen again, same as grawl xD

edit: Same thing as the pvp dragon rank through farming arenas evil laughi wouldn´t be against that but its a waste for them.. all that content not being utilized :s
besides with the metadata gathered we wont ever have new fractal lvls xD

Another thing i wonder is regarding the leg backpack, the image looks similar to the fractal capacitor, think it will be a crafting ingredient for the back show on the shot?

Sad, my 8 Legendaries are worth less then. I always saw Legendaries not only as a cool skin, but also as a great utility to invest in, changing stats.
Now Legendaries arent even unique anymore, except for the skin and +1 Infusion slot…
Legendaries get a free stat switch any time you want outside of combat. This new ascended stat switching requires you to Mystic Forge the item with the insignia for the stats you want (ascended insignia, not cheap) 5 ectos and 10 of the new shards… and you don’t keep the runes or sigils or infusions that are in the original item. I think legendaries still have a LOT going for them… so… make like a Reaper and Chill?
I know we can change legendaries stats. You’re not getting the point; this was what legendaries made so unique despite the skins.
I’d like to say.. No. You’re not getting the point. Legendaries are still unique… because of what I said. They still hold a unique advantage over ascended items even if ascended items can have their stats swapped from a Mystic Forge recipe.
With Legendaries the swapping is free and convenient. With Ascended it’s expensive and inconvenient.
It’s crafting 25% of a new ascended item… You’re just not having to cover the cost of the blade, the hilt (in a sword example), or the vision crystal. That helps reduce the cost.. sure.. but you still need to BUY or CRAFT the insignia whose stats you want. You also can’t do this out and about… you have to do it at a Mystic Forge.
Legendaries are still superior and have a unique advantage, end of story.
While i agree with you i just wanted to point that its not crafting 25% of an ascended item since the needed insignia to change stats is not the ascended one but the exotic one which decreases the cost by ALOT.

Sooooo, if you don’t hold off Mordrem threats you’ll lose access to the area? Does this mean you’ll lose access to the guild hall unless the guild comes and clears the area again?

I saw an interview where they answer that question (will try to find the link later)
What they meant is that the guild hall is not safe from action caused by the living story. Usually it will be safe but they may go and do something to it in a special chapter.

Sigh… I used an item for an alt I never play simply because the stat combo was useless for every other character I play. Wish I knew this 3 months ago as I’d have held onto the item so I could have used it on my main.
asc gear is acc bound. You can change the weapons and armor between your alts. Provided its the same armor type ofc.

There wont be an extra buff to ascended compared to exotic.
And we get stat exchange on ascend edequipment:
“We are adding a system that lets you change the stats for your ascended gear next Tuesday – which will cost a combination of 10 spirit shards, piece you don’t want anymore, 5 ectos, and an exotic insignia of the stats you want to convert to. Legendary Gear will remain the gear that can freely change stats any time.”

After all his deeds Hero-Tron finally gets some recognition and is proclaimed free citizen of Lions Arch by Magnus and Kiel, although its not much of a city now XD

Another option would be to change the frame according to the rarity, example bellow. I know some people also have problems with red, and fiding a color that works for everyone can be tricky..
That way no matter the color problems it would be possible to distinguish the items.
In order to prevent hidding the icons, this difference could be shown only when we are using a kit to salvage the items.
I also really like the new QoL change, especially the unsalvageable items being red. The highlight however needs to be turned down a bit, either in the shining intensity or the duration of it.
Same thing happens with frostbow. It does the summon animation, bar fills, skill goes into cooldown but no conjured weapon in my hand and no one in the party can get the one that is conjured in the floor.

Well i want to atleast see my mini.. hide more players with culling if you need to but show us our minis.. Also why do i get the mini until most of the server is ready for teq but if i go to for example fireheart rise, which should have way less players than a server atempting tequatl, its instatly hidden? o.o
It probably is due to bundles interactivity or due to water combat skills being level gated also. They didnt want people jumping into the water, landing there and having no skills. Alot of the things shouldnt be level gated for non-new players though.. if we managed before we certainly could still manage it :C
well no idea how to do that, but they launched a fix and it appears to be working.
Also hint achiev is now at 100% when b4 it was at 98 XD
Update, it seems to work with the fix they uploaded.
Also the hint achiev is at 100% now. Maybe it really was related to it.
I am creating this thread because we may have a hint of what is going on and its probably easier for the devs to see with this title. For what we are seeing here “https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/game-keeps-crashing-help/first#post4382455” people that are having the error described in the title were tracking old achievements. In my case and some other people we were tracking hint achievement which is gone. Others were tracking a laurel related bugged achievement so it seems there is a trend. Hope it can be fixed quickly.

Additional info, in my case im able to login, select the char, then when i go to play she loading screen shows up and there is a quick blink (usual) where normally after which the map loads right away. It is after that “blink” that it crashes to desktop.
I have windos 8, 64 bits.
I have also done the repair of the client already but to no avail.

Let me guess, you’re a sylvari and your “skin” is blue, cultural sylvari armor (and maybe Twilight Arbor armor too) has this “extra” it imitates your skin on some parts of the armor
I see, i am indeed a silvary with blue skin.. But when i previewed there was no blue on it.. so i will have to either live with it or change armor yet again.. kitten it..

And why is this “extra” not shown, had i known i would pick something else.. It would be handy to have an “extras” list for races and armors or other combos x.x
Had i known it was from the silvary race i would not have spent TA tokens on another char, but oh well..
Use the Remove Dye tool on all of the dye slots and save the changes. Go back in and re-dye to your liking and your changes should save correctly now.
For some reason i cannot use the dye remover. When i try on this armor it just changes to another color.. On my other character that has another armor i can use it and actually take the dye.
It’s not a bug at all, the armor is shiny.
Shiny armors reflect the environment map. So if the environment has a blue sky, it will shine blue. If it has a red sky, it will shine red, etc. Even a blue-ish moon will make it look a bit colder in contrast to other warmer colors in the environment.
Hmm not that i am doubting you but i never saw it shine red. Always blue. Same thing in a cavern where there is no sky at all. Shouldnt it shine in another color other than blue?
And are we not informed about this “special” feature of the armor? I bought the armor because i liked it and when i previewed before buying it there was no blue whatsoever. That is why i bought it, if i knew it would be blue i would not buy it nor transmute it after to get other stats..
Also i just blasted tokens getting a few pieces of TA armor for my other character and he shows no blue, even though its on the same place as my character with the problem..
So.. how come this doesnt show the special feature while the other does? Even underwater there is no blue like the other one.. There is some silver but no blue.

I have a problem with the dying of an armor.
I have no blue dye on the dye slots yet the armor always shows blue tint..
I have tried with other heavy armors in preview mode and its the same for most of them. Scaled armor works fine however..
When i preview light or medium armor this does not happen.
I have atached a file showing the problem.
