Hello, Ive had my Druid for some time now and Im running Metabattle Shoutbuild with LB/Staff, and even with Zerker gear it is veryyyyy goood. I cant stress it enough. I also swap out nature magic for MM sometimes, BUT when I face other somewhat sustain-y builds that run presumably zerk gear too or anything that has boons for days with damage (think Guardians or other cookie-cut Shout Druids …), we end up in a stalemate.

So Ive been thinking of trying the old MM/Wilderness Survival/Druid build and with Zerker Gear still and Durability runes but Im not sure I have enough sustain to deal with prolonged fights or 2v1s. Is it any good?

Also yes Im open to Power build suggestions as long as Its not the Shout build or a variant of it.

Why are people coming in here every week to complain about matchups? Do you not know how wvw works with glicko ratings? Anet doesn’t decide who goes where. TC got a good roll and DB got a bad roll which made them switch this week. Relax you’ll probably be back to t2 next week.

Except that us at DB had a score not too far off BG’s.
JQ wasnt really doing that well and so was TC right before they fell to tier 2.
So when I woke up this morning, I was pretty surprised to find out that suddenly we were at Tier2. Scores between DB, FA, and Mag were pretty even at first as expected….few hours later we had double their scores at 40k and them at 20k. Sure its too soon to tell yet but all I know is TC houldnt be at T1 right now.

I was thinking of mixing some Zerk pieces though for some raw damage but yeah I dont intend on fighting any bunker builds or Condi Chronos at all.

One problem I think I’m seeing here is that D/D Ele feels as if it could get kited so easily (I’m hoping that isn’t the case) whereas in sPvP during its glory days, people were forced to fight over a small space giving builds like this the upper hand. Even, the whole pretense of running the S/F build is so that you have much bigger range, to counter ranged and those who could possibly run away, and also allow you to kite like crazy.

How well does the classic Cele Ele do against the meta roamers (barring Bunker Druids, and Condi Tank Chronos, I just don’t even bother giving them a fight.) ?

Is it still a good at roaming?

And how viable is the Earth/Water/Tempest variant?

I dont know. It still stands that individually, a mesmer’s chaos magic still trumps over artificial power (Engineer’s gadgets etc.), I mean sure you can put up a scenario that the Engi creates some sort of device that dispels illusions but thats situational and also Its not really power on demand, considering that theyd have to prepare and all. As for the necromancer’s case, I dont know how potent they could be when it comes to diseases but in the numbers department, I can raise a 100 guys to fight you but for all I knew, they’d be punching each other.
It just seems that the ability to warp your perception of reality is a bit too much for any one person to have.

I can see Revenants capable of being stronger though what with the fact they can basically just borrow any sort of power from the Mists and be Dues Ex Machinas but we havent got much lore on the revenants. Hoping for more Profession lore from LW or the Xpacs at least

Yes it can this is a build I was trying as chrono, you need to be careful on your mantra charging but it has enough cleanses, sustain and other mitigation to kill a condi chrono and even berserker warriors. Just make sure you leave a 1-2s gap between each power return use so it procs the menders purity both times.

It’s a build very close to what Tsuki Yomi uses though he will always try to delete comments showing his build as he considers it a super secret build lol. Watch some of his videos if you want an example of how it plays. He uses power block I believe and personally I like it with the number of interrupts you can have as chrono especially with gravity well. If new take mental anguish, if you see you get interrupts a lot especially on heals take power block.

Edit: As always playing smart will get you a win and a lot of people play condi mesmer because it’s easy and low risk, high reward. This means experienced mesmers can usually pull a win or force them to run if you pack enough cleanses.

Anyway Ive been having a blast with that setup….okay “A blast” is an overstatement. I have been having a little rough time against DDs that run a bit of vit to survive my burst. Partly because I play at a constant 200ms which I think makes a difference when it comes to split second reactions. And partly because my build differs slightly.

It varies in that Im running Ether Feast instead of the Mantra Heal and most importantly, I cant yet make Defender Runes….for reasons undisclosed hehe oops.
Ive been running Dwayna Runes which give a bit of Healing Power and some Regen to try to emulate the Defenders stats but I take it that the Aegis is what I run it for and also the on demand Regen on heal.

Any better rune alternatives? Also how do I go about the initial burst? I often wing it screaming YOLO in my head and throwing GS 2 and maybe Blinking in into a traited F3, GS 3, then F1. But since the first part has such a big tell, the whole thing somtimes gets dodged even though I think Im out of sight. Otherwise, I see dead people

For me, I have given a tie between elementalists and mesmers. But from lore bits I have read, I noticed that mesmers are usually some sort of big threat or whatnot. Or just simply powerful because of the fact they can manipulate your very sense of reality.

Take the undead mesmer during the Personal Story for example. That thing alone caused so much trouble for your PC and the Pact.
Digging a bit deeper, even Queen Jennah herself. In Edge of Destiny, the part where she compelled Logan to come to her aid while he was off about to fight Kralky, but in the end, it seemingly looked as if she didn’t even need him.

I haven’t read anything much of great Elementalis feats lorewise, albeit I haven’t read so much into it either.

TLDR: I’m more in favor of Mesmers

Not entirely sure but the chest and shoulder piece look like theyre from the Carapace armor set and the leggings are Triumphant/Triumphamt Hero’s Legguards. Only ones I can recognize sorry.

With the recent and slight buffs to the Power Mesmer, can the Domi/Inspi/Chrono Power Shatter build hold a candle against all the Condi Mes builds running around now? In terms of viablity I mean.

Also, what are some nice runes to run with it?

Update: I tried making a fresh character on my current home server just to experiment and I still get error message 2. Similar to a situation of a user here on this board. Whats going on?

Edit: OK, I actually get alternating posts between the error message 1 from the attachment above, or one that says that it is currently processing the transfer but I am promptly given error message 3 (refer to above attachment) and then GW2 immediately closes. Upon logging in and running the game, it takes me straight to the Race selection screen but I still am in Underworld (EU)

So I deleted all my characters so I could transfer servers for free, specifically from a server on the EU region to one on NA. But as soon as I click on the Transfer button (Refer to label 1), I get an error message (refer to label 2) followed by another one (refer to label 3).

I have done the Wi-Fi troubleshooting. Still the same result.

So I’ve read that if I deleted all my characters tied to my home server, I can transfer servers for free since the transfer cost only applies to accounts with characters on them. My question is, if I used this method and deleted all my characters to avail of the free transfer, would I be able to transfer over from my current server on the EU region to a server on NA? I got friends who recently started playing, but on the NA servers and I wish to join them.
