Also, do I really need to order from the UK to get a physical box? Seems like a lot of hoops to jump through to display my love for this game on a shelf.

Is it possible to purchase a physical copy of HoT and still receive the pre-purchase bonuses? namely the free character slot?

Oh right, sorry. Mostly for PvE (dungeons/fractals) and some WvW. I was thinking exactly the same utilities, and yea shield for the blast finisher for both the heal and the stealth from the smoke bomb.

I’m thinking the weapon choice will decide armor so I think I’ll try Apothecary to keep the p/s. I’ll give it a go and report, but any more input is welcome.

Like the title says, I want to make a bomb healer and wasn’t sure what bombs scale best with. Is it better to go pistol/shield and stack conditions or do the bombs hit hard enough to go power and take the rifle?

Any other suggestions on such a build are welcome as well

Deadly mixture would get you some more power with the flamethrower, but I get why you went with the regen.

My real question is about explosive powder, are you using it just for the passives? And if so does it help that much? I know there’s not much else in that line, but the might stacks from Enhance Performance or the +5% damage when endurance is not full might equal more DPS, not sure though.

Because the gem store minis are limited time only items. A player starting today could never get the ones from last Halloween and and thus could never get the achievement.

Even if you could buy they from the TP, there is not guarantee that there would be supply from players.

IMO “special” skins should be given as a reward for completing chalenging or even limited Time Content.

Not some RNG chest, that dosnt make it “special” just make’s it look like a cash grab. ((i mean its not like every one is running around with Rox and Brohams gear now… although that quiver is pretty populer.))

I absolutely agree. Not defending the cash grab RNG, just calling it like I see it.

I like how they did the super skins, there is an RNG chance to get them at the end of each zone, but even if you don’t, you still get progress towards getting them eventually.

Face it, the last patch forced the Engineer players into HGH in order to remain efficient, the new KR is a joke and is nearly impossible to manage when having more than one kit, plus it’s not worth the pathetic, unhelpful and unwelcome effects it has. It is anything but a step foward.

Well that kind of angers up the blood doesn’t it? In what universe is it harder to roll a thief than an engi? For 100nades to work you had to be inside the enemy char model, if you let them get that close you probably deserve to die. Yes thieves need to get close too, but they have stealth at least. Yes 100nades probably needed a nerf, but removing it completely was pretty lame. And yea, lol at 26k.

To hold down fort, and I like the choice to move or destroy my own turret not a ghost timer doing it for my at the wrong time, I have had my turrets got out in mid battle, if they are going to keep it this way then they need to remove the cool down on turret deploy.

Ummm, what? Net Shot (Rifle 2) is Aoe? Elixir Gun auto-attack is AoE? and I would almost call Poison Volley AoE by the way it spreads. The way I see it we are pretty low of the list of professions being hit by this.

I may play this all wrong however, I’d like to hear more on both sides of this.

Can you cover an existing infusion the same way you can cover other upgrades? Or are you stuck with it once you infuse it?

Skills 1-3 only use the main hand because the off-hand can be different/not there at all. It would kind of ridiculous to swing a warhorn or an “air-sword”.

Also, what about the warthogs and deer and the like? Yea you can’t one shot them, but they are just as innocent.

I roll with a Warrior usually and have a CC build with the rifle and FT. Net shot to stop them, you and the warrior unload, then 4 skill on the rifle to knock them back, FT2 for some more burst, then the net shot should be back up to let the warrior finish up. The FT3 skill is a good knock back as well. Basically crowd control.

That’s basically the build I have been running since launch. Lots of fun, super happy with the fixes, definitely feeling more powerful post patch.

I’m starting to see a lot of really cool skins being discovered from the mystic forge and other places, but mostly swords, foci, axes, etc.

As an engineer, I’m basically stuck to Rifles and pistols. I’m using the Mystic Rifle right now, which has a pretty cool particle effect, but I’m hoping there are others.

Anyone know of any cool rifle skins?

Doesn’t it make perfect sense that 5 char slots cost as much as the game? (Which gives you 5 char slots)

It’s basically the definition of trolling. The single thief has no chance of stopping the point being taken, but hangs around to draw it out as long as possible.

Its not that its overpowered or anything, its just annoying and unnecessary. Two things Arena Net have said they want to avoid.

@Wolfgang Michael It has nothing to do with the class itself and has everything to do with WvW mechanics.

Maybe the stealth chain is broken, I don’t know I’m not here to argue that. But this discussion is about the cap blocking, and that is definitely not how it was intended.

It is a small thing, but I think adds polish.

It could be equipped the same way as a second weapon is on other classes, and of course would have to be equipped as a slot skill first.

Then we could use the tilde key (`) to swap between just that kit and our primary weapon.

Feelings/suggestions?

Rifle+elixir is awesome for support in WvW.

I use the flamethrower and supply drop as well, 4 CCs and condition removal/buffs for you and anyone near you.

Don’t need to do a ton of damage when my GS warrior buddy is wailing on him while hes CCd :-P

Rifle builds in WvW are awesome though, if you have some friends.

Catch someone alone, net shot (friends wail on them)> jump shot >blunderbuss > Overcharged shot once they break free. Then I use the flame thrower for extra burst and another CC push back.

Would that not work in sPvP if you rolled with a warrior or something?
