The larger glass weapons look really cool and I want to make them work with a character. But the outfit didn’t work for me at all.
That said, even if I researched the skins and outfit before buying I’d still have gone Ultimate. Expansion, character slot, level 80 boost, shared inventory slot, VIP area access, a heap of gems… a couple vanity skins don’t bother me.
I’m struggling to understand anything about this mastery. How does it activate? How regularly should it activate? What are the conditions for it to appear? Does it have to be in Orr? Do the reliquaries have to be activated? I don’t understand at all x.x
Just took on this fight with a dual-pistol Daredevil and had no trouble. I was downed once in the living room fight but the second fight was easy. Chuck shards and dodge stuff, gg.
Search isn’t bringing up any other topics on the subject, so here I am. Has this been fixed? Is there a way to hide the EXP bar to get rid of the flashing once you fill it?
Been having this issue all day to varying extents, but it’s been at its worst this evening.
I have other characters that I can play, but it has to be said, since Ricochet went my interest in using my Thief pretty much vanished.
A shame, as before the nerf it was my favourite character and was totally reviving my interest in the game and HoT.
What is wrong with using Shortbow for AoE situations and switching to P/P for single target situations?
The Ricochet removal was probably done because Shortbow is the AoE weapon and Pistol the single target one.
So yeah, they’re basically telling us to play something else. Balance? Yeah right.
I’d probably be willing to accept P/P as a single-target class if that single target damage was actually decent.
But no, all that’s happened is nerf, nerf and nerf. They might as well just delete Thief altogether for the ‘purity’ of the game as a whole.
The most amusing thing about them saying it’s ‘too hard to balance’ is that it implies that removing Ricochet has in any way balanced dual-pistol thieves…
Tbh I’d take Ricochet back at the expense of any other trait. I just want my AoE back, end of story.
There’s definitely something wrong with their system at its core if they need to cripple one weaponset just to balance the others.
Well, I sure am glad I didn’t pre-purchase Heart Of Thorns now. My favourite character type is now a single-target DPSer. In other words, useless.
You’ve taken a fun class type and stopped it being fun. I hope you’re happy, Anet.
Yeah, the Mystic Forge is by far the best way about it. I tried killing Aetherblades but the drop rate is awful.
If you can afford to make Ascended gear, you can definitely afford to just buy the Sprockets for the Mystic Forge. Save yourself some trouble. =)
From Patch Notes:
“Trading
Rumors tell of a merchant interested in items from major events in Tyria’s recent history, including Blade Shards. Players are encouraged to hold on to these items if they are interested in trading with her when she appears.”Hope this helps

Yeah, I think the best bet will be to wait for that and see what it offers for heirlooms and belongings, if anything.
Either way, I can chalk this down to experience and move on since the rewards from those vendors weren’t anything exceptionally valuable or exclusive. That said, I still think removing Battle Of Lion’s Arch vendors from the game before the Battle Of Lion’s Arch series has even ended was a poorly thought out move.
^ It has more to do with the fact that if they bring them back, they are kitten over people that threw away the items after the merchants went away, due to knowing that they would not comeback.
Really, I’d like to think if people have deleted their items – like I did with my mysterious keys, cyphers etc – that they would have made peace with the possibility that they’d never be able to exchange them. Deleting items requires player input. Removing vendors does not.

It’s hardly unreasonable to expect Lion’s Arch event items to still be valid throughout the whole of the Lion’s Arch event – of which we are in the Aftermath stage. It’s only the logical time for players to think “Great, events over, time to cash in my chips” …except we can’t. =/
The fact that there’s not even anything else happening in the Living World right now makes it especially irritating. I’d understand if they wanted us to put Lion’s Arch behind us and focus on a new event with new vendors and rewards, but that isn’t the case.
Well, it might have been reasonable if they hadn’t specifically stated otherwise a full week before the end.
Whether they did or not doesn’t make it any less of a poor decision.

It is great that we have some harder content in the game now. At the present moment it’s tricky to defeat since good players are getting segmented between the main server and overflows, but once the majority of players start telling themselves the fight is impossible and stop clogging it up, that’ll leave the dedicated players who want a challenge to take it on for themselves. =)
And then you will be left with not enough people to actually be able to kill him.
I think it’s already been proven quite well that numbers alone aren’t enough.

I see what you mean now. A yellow star would have definitely helped in this case, but ah well.
Thanks for the help.
Hello,
Yesterday I managed to finish the Portal Component Procurer achievement and still have the three items required in my inventory. Speaking over the Holographic Communicator, Vorpp congratulates me and says he’ll meet me in Divinity’s Reach.
When I go to Divinity’s Reach and speak to him in front of the Gauntlet… he says the exact same thing, giving seemingly no option to progress the Living Story any further.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
