nothing in southsun.
Currupted Lodestones drop from a sweet spot in Frostgorge (i still do it once in a way for 30 mins while waiting for Jormag to spawn to get the T5 and T6 bone and fang which drop quite graciously)

IMO ranger is the best for farming this (so tempted to get my ranger a MF set just for doing this content.)

I feel you there man, been doing the zerg thing on Southsun for a solid number of hours now and have yet to find a single chest.

Hey guildie… Run with me today…. I just started doing it differently last night my results over one hr of farming (2 omnom bars) were :
- 2 crates
- 4 powerful blood
- 20 T5 blood
- 25 Karka Shells
- 2-3 rares

I was running with 338% MF during the course of time along with 2-3 more ppl.

Just remember u can use only 1 of them on a charactor at a time.
i have 2 of them was in the hope of using both. since they are unique you cant have 2 of them equipped.

Gem store tools can be used by a level 1….that’s to say, even the tools out of the BLC’s.

if this works it solves my problem since i decent amount of those in inventory… finally something that came out of the BLC (except for the BLSK of any worth)

I think it’s good how it is. You also can’t go to Orr to gather orichalcum there with low-level-chars.
Would be terrible for the ori-prices if anyone could make a new char, gather the ori in Southsun and then delete the character and make a new one to gather the ori again.
You see what would be the problem?

you dont get upscaled in orr… going there with a low level would be your choice.
you being upscaled for the event means Anet wants you there…. just my thoughts

Im happy to be upscaled but the best part of being on southsun is the amount of gathering you can do.
thats the part we miss on when upscaled….
Its a terrible feeling walking past an Ori or blooming passoflora node
not complaining but still disappointed that my upscaled alt cant have it….

Are there any new Crafing / MF recipes as a part of Secrets of Southsun ?

Gear up alts with full exotics…best use of karma IMO.

the only way i know this can be done is by buying orian boxes with the char who has the Karma and then unloading the Karma on the alt you look to gear… cause im guessing Karma armor is soulbound….

i had done the same with 750 of these i farmed during the Orr farming week

it seems to be a rather new feature that u get ruined ore if u try to mine while being hit.
iv seen it more oftern in the last few days on ori, wood, mithril nodes
even while harvesting…

i simply like the idea of the mystic chest to be brought back.

12g sounds low for 1250 bags and high for 250.
im confused which one is the correct # of bags opened.
last i remember as of last week i had 750 bags which i could sell for a new 21g odd.
I opened it to get items worth 25g Gross (21.25g net) so turned out to be not really worth the time.
well in my case i had farmed up all 750 so didnt really matter… but dont buy these to open for profit.
Also Moldy dont have a chance to drop a lodestone. instead they have a chance to drop 2x T6 mats when they do.

bang on nice suggestion… i took it and purchased a few more that day… definately dont regret it… doubled my investment in a 5 days

i got 150 shads the other day when Balthy was opened on SoS.
now im considering trying the recipe for the t6 fine mats rather than the clovers cause i dont see myself going for a legendary anytime soon…..

Seriously life would be so good if the MF could pick components from the Bank & Material storage just like the crafting stations….

i farmed moldy bags for a week in CS for around a hr a day.
had 750 at the end of it opened it to get crafting mats with 25g
guess CoF p1 was better… lol

If something vends for 7c and there’s 200,000 of the item sitting there at 8c waiting to be bought…the fact that people have buys in for 3c doesn’t affect anything. The lowest one can obtain that item for from the TP is 8c (1c above vendor).

If all the 3c bids were removed, those 200,000 items are still sitting there at 8c. Even if they weren’t, 8c would be the lowest you could bid (1c above vendor).

I dont think i agree. currently the 3c ones cannot be fulfilled and the 8c one legally can but will never be so technically for any item that currently has a buy order below the vendor price no buy orders can be put which will get fulfilled.
correct me if im wrong about it….

the problem right now is the old custom orders below vendor value are still in the system.
they are still the lowest offer so no new offers can be put in that can be fullfilled by sellers in the future.
It would be great if these orders can be removed (surely the money credited to the ppl who would have placed the orders)

i did around 50 greatswords yesterday after making a mistake of accidentally crafting the masterword mithril plated dowels last week with my stack of skale and claw T5 mats instead of the rare one.

I already have 100+ of glacial i got before wintersday holding tight onto them for now.
started playing from pre-launch so been keeping my wealth across items so far

i highly doubt they will do anything with T6 Dust (apart from making slightly more dust available from mindless Orr farming)

these are the cheapest lodestones available right now on the TP.
im assuming cause there is no apparent use for them (as yet) apart for the one axe that uses it.
i still cant figure out what exactly would drop it and if there are any other uses of it.
Most dungeons have a lodestone associated with it i doubt this one (apart from corrupted) is associated with any one of them (i may be wrong too)
just trying to figure out are these worth collecting and holding onto for future crafts.

I had stacked up 250 each of the Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire Orbs in anticipation of making triforge before taking a break from the game for a few mths.
now when i get back i see dust is just too expensive for me even think of (since i will need 750 of it now)
any suggestions as to alternate use of the orbs i had racked up for this apart from just selling it off on the TP.

I got my first skin by exchanging 50 Bauble Baubles with Moto, it says its account bound.
But i still see skins listed on the TP.
Was wondering where those are coming from.
from what i read on Wiki skins from Moto or the chest are account bound.

I did use around 22 keys + around 6-7 more from the chests and got no ticket.
on the brighter side i didnt have to buy those keys with gems.
they were stockpiled from the Council commendations exchange from 2012.
I did hold onto them to use when some good item was introduced but RNG… grrr
only useful thing i got form 30 odd chest was 1 BL salvage Kit & a 3 Mini Pack rest was all crap.

As for Karka shells they are easy to farm.
One of my fav farming runs makes approx 3.5 g- 4g per hr

Winterday came with a notification of approx 275 new recepies added to the game (Crafting + Mystic Forge).
Dulfy currently has the most of the discovered ones consolidated.
From what i last found was around 10 cooking ones, around 12 runes for the 3 armors, 12 inscriptions. around 20 odd jewelery items
and the Mystic Forge recepie for the Frostoov, Ring upgrade (still awiting 4th item to be discovered).
which is like 20% of the promised lot.
how long till we can expect to see more recepies discovered.
Sorry if i may have missed on some stuff, plZ add….
