Whoever says this is a money sink obviously doesn’t know how to play the skritt… Im not giving any tips, simply for fear of nerf… But i roll the dice every day and have learned the secret… Sure you can say that it’s all chance, but he’s got a method to his madness, the people that lose all their g on him do it because they are simply greedy.. I go to him every day and rarely leave without a hefty profit. Quit while you’re ahead… That’s all I’m going to say.

OK Anet, it’s been three years now that colorblind people have been asking for a colorblind mode. You guys have been saying on the forums that you would look into it, that’s been going on for years now, so my question is why in the world haven’t you accommodated us yet? Seriously how hard can it be to simply set the colors differently? I know it’s not that hard to code in and you have had years to do it. So PLEASE help us out here. I know you’d get more players to play, I know I get really frustrated and /rage quit when I die because i thought i was standing in a friendly aoe ring.
Every other big MMO and most other games that aren’t MMOs have colorblind mode, so there’s really no excuse.

And as others have stated, it’s nearly impossible to be efficient in raids when you’re colorblind.
Please help us out!

Also, I would just be happy if you would allow us to change the colors of the circles and the chat text. That would pretty much solve the issue for me I think.
I posted this in reddit as to the problems I am having…

1) Red circles on the ground for incoming enemy AOE attacks or traps. I can tell they’re there sometimes depending on the color of the terrain.

2) I’m an ele so I have a lot of AOE’s, it’s hard for me to see my green AOE rings. So most of the time while I’m trying to cast an AOE, I’m moving my mouse around the screen like crazy just trying to catch a glimpse of where the circle is at so I can position it correctly.

3) Rarity of items: It’s impossible for me to distinguish between masterwork/rare/exotic. They all look EXACTLY the same to me. Thankfully Anet has most things labeled, but some things aren’t and I can’t tell by color alone.

4) Chat: this one really gets me angry sometimes, specifically party and whisper. The colors for those look exactly the same to me. I thought they were the same for the longest time until someone told me they were different colors. So sometimes when I’m having a “private” chat, I end up announcing it to everyone in the party, which can sometimes get me in trouble especially when I’m playing with my GF.

Not trying to be a stick in the mud or anything, but is there any point to actually going there, besides looking at the scenery and killing a couple new mobs? I mean, is there anything else to do?

STILL NOT FIXED….. this is getting out of hand. How hard could it possibly be??? No other attunements have this problem.

So frustrated right now.

I too am surprised there hasn’t been a reply from Anet on the issue…
This is really important to me, as I too suffer from colorblindness.
I have all the same issues everyone else in this thread has stated and it’s really starting to get frustrating. I can understand why they didn’t include it at launch, but there really should have been at least an acknowledgement from the dev team by now.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been killed because I couldn’t see the red rings, or how many times I’ve accidentally said something in party chat (the colors look EXACTLY the same to me) instead of whisper, or vice versa.
Also I play an ele so it’s really frustrating for me when trying to lay down an AOE and not being able to see my AOE circle…

Please Anet, at least say something!
