I don’t understand this, but in the recent June 14th patch, the ability to draw lines on the mini-map has been completely removed.

I’ve decided to put this in the “Players Helping Players” section because when we were running story mode of AC there was a newbie player and he didn’t really understand where to go. We tried to help him find his way by drawing on the mini-map a route to make it easier for him to find his way. Of course, this wasn’t helped by the fact that they have removed drawing on the map.

The ability to draw on the mini-map has always served as a good tool to help other players find their way to: Vistas, events, dungeons, jumping puzzles ect. I can’t for the life of me figure out why Arenanet has decided to remove this useful tool, but all in all it needs to be a feature again to help other players.

This feature has been in the game since the GW2 betas back in 2012 or so. Why remove it now? Is it something to do with raids? Maybe bug which has disabled it for some reason? Perhaps a griefing reason (just kick them out your party btw) ?

P.S: I miss drawing smiley faces on the mini-map too!

TL;DR: Used to be a feature. June 14 removed this feature. Give it back.

More dark room jumping puzzles

The only jumping puzzle I’ve come across so far that has a dark room is the Eternal Battleground room. It was so challenging and fun, a different experience which I haven’t come across in any other MMO.

Why doesn’t arena net take the unique thing that they’ve done with the Eternal battlegrounds jumping puzzle dark room? Make more jumping puzzles with dark rooms, or make them completely dark.

With the Queen’s Jubilee content, there’s a torch that you can light up places with from one of the achievements, and I ask my self, “what’s the point?”. Because in the Eternal Battlegrounds Jumping puzzle it hands you a torch. Can we not get rid of that and have a pack that would give us a torch as a bundle, and you could get different torches, some exotic torches might glow farther than others, look different, maybe even glow a different colour like a acsalon ghost torch or something.

I haven’t tried the current one yet, don’t even know where to go to start, I will say that I enjoyed the one in beta though.. I think Metrica (which is where the beta event took place) was a cooler area for this type of thing, but I will give this one a shot when I have the chance.

You can find the minigame at Labyrinthine cliffs at the sky dock waypoint.

I love south sun survival during this patch of content, although it sucks how you’re only limited to the eastern part of the map, well you’re not limited but there’s no point heading to the western part of south sun because all the camps are karka controlled. Anyway, I’d love this small mini-game become something glorious and adventurous, like WvW.

It would be amazing if you could make Southsun Survival better by:
-Adding it as a permanent feature in GW2 (as in some of the news recently you did say there will be more permanent content in the future).

-Allowing more people to play in one match (maybe around 40-60)

-A basic crafting system within the Southsun Survival, crafting different weapons, armour and potions. If this was implemented it would be much for suitable for Southsun Survival, as it is called survival.

-Southsun Cove is a giant map, so make use of it.

-Have ambient creatures that you can kill to acquire hide for armour and retrieve raw food from, to cook in the crafting system.

-During Southsun Survival you can’t be that stealthy because a giant red name plate appears above your head. Get rid of it during southsun survival.

-Environmental hazards. I recall seeing a cave with alot of fungi / mushrooms in on southsun. The mushrooms / fungi look pretty toxic, so make them apply a poison condition when you walk past them. At the end of this cave there might be a special reward.

Anyway I know all this probably won’t happen but it’s just a suggestion… Thank you

There is alot more area that carries on past the world map. You can see this map in the durmand priory place at lornar’s pass. It’s very possible the Dwarf survivors could be living in some far of place in the rest of tyria. +1 for dwarfs, no to elves

Just a small thing that wouldn’t take much effort to do in terms of implementing. I think it would be a good idea because people have a personality, and the way they see the writing can be a positive vibe on their opinion on the game. You can have it bold if you like it to be an average type of writing with not much personality put into it, or they could go for more of a fancy writing font. It would change every piece of writing in the game. Loading screens ect….

Awful idea, anyway they said they will never add one because it takes the fun out of gw2 and it’s based more on skill than damage. It also avoids raging.

Or, maybe just a SPVP map, where the ships circle around and you have to man the cannons, and direct the ship. Then after 3-5 minutes the ships come together and you board each others ships

My reasons against having LFG

-Having LFG is a way to loose part of the socialization with people.

-LFG makes the game less interactive.

-What’s the point in having LFG if you have your guild, and map chat to find people.

-LFG was implemented in WoW with a better reason, because you had to run around the world to get to places, Which can take forever. while in GW2 you can just waypoint. So what’s even the point of having LFG?

-You said it yourself arena net, “We don’t want to make gear a necessary part of being able to enter a dungeon, instead it’s based on the players skill”. Okay… So if you’re implementing LFG and you need some way to get a group, then have can it find skilled players that are on par with you? Yes, maybe a leaderboard, but players can change, they might be very lucky and seem extremely skilful one day, but they might change over day to become worst, and once they’ve done that they’ll end up in a high skilled group and get shouted at, and nobody want to get shouted at.

-I actually enjoy going around the world and seeing a bunch of level 80s in one place and saying to my self, ‘Hey, I wonder what this is all about!’. In other words, having a bunch of level 80s in an area makes the area more vibrant in a certain kind of charm.

Conclusion: No LFG pleeeeease! :c

Customizable Auto-Attacks

It wouldn’t add anything completely game changing, but it would add more customization to your auto attacks. Keep in mind that this would only be for PvE and not PvP to keep the balance easier. The customization will include a rather small amount of boons, these might include Fury, Might, swiftness and vigor. The conditions might include bleeding, poison, burning and confusion. From now on I’ll be calling the Customizable auto attack boons and conditions runes. There would be major runes, you can only have 2 of these if you have three main auto attacks and 1 if you only have 1 auto attack. Major runes will increase the duration of the boon, or condition, making it stack (although the maximum would only be 2-3 stacks of boons and conditions). Major rune conditions last 2.5 seconds, boons shall last 3 seconds. For minor runes you will be able to have up to 2 conditions or boons, the conditions shall last 2 seconds, boons shall last 2.5 seconds. 2 minor runs will be allowed if you have 3 main auto attacks, 3 shall be allowed if you have 1 main auto attack. I’m thinking that runes would be available to buy in a random pack, or they can be found in chests. Packs might include 2 minor runes and 1 major rune, and would be relatively cheap to buy, maybe 125-150 gems.

In Lions arch there seems to be alot going on around the WvW portals, like the exotic armour and weapon merchants, the laurel merchant, cultural weapon merchants. Sure there are points of interest, way points, vistas and jumping puzzles. But after doing those is there anything much that will make you go out from the main areas of Lions arch again? I was just going to suggest to spread maybe just the laurel merchant and exotic armour and weapon merchants out to maybe the east and south of lions arch but one place in particular I feel needs love and attention it is the big arch to the north of Lions Arch where the pub type place is, maybe consider putting the laurel merchant there to make players go there so it feels more connected to the city. I think spreading the merchants out like this would make some of the places that don’t have enough players feel more used and I think it would be better than to just have them all scrunched up in one area.
