Just as a quick bump: This bug STILL isn’t fixed.
Somehow sad tbh.

First try failed (and progress got blocked) while second try we did it doing really slow dps as Elthionel described and it worked.

I guess I’ll be doing it with the reward track then. Never been a fan of RNG, essentially when the dropchance is low.
Not really a PvP player, but I occasionally play it and do the dailies in PvP.

Hello everyone

This is a question directed at those of you who have worked a while on or already completed the Ambrite Weapon Collection.

I think about doing this one and prefer to estimate the effort needed to complete it. The acquisition of most ingredients is calculable, but what I didn’t find was Drop Rate Research concerning Unidentified Fossilized Insects (16 needed for the collection) from Buried Locked Chests.

What has been your experience working on this collection? Are the Unidentified Fossilized Insects rare? If yes, how many Chests did you have to open per Insect or for the whole collection?

Same here.
Just experienced this for the first time, luckily I managed to finish DS.
However, during the Explore-Phase I got a DC (probably due to my router 24h IP reset).
After relogging I wasn’t able to rejoin the old map instance as I got the error mentioned above when I tried to join a squad member on his map instance.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.
The reason I did not put any further points into Domination is that mobs in open-world pve don’t have high health values and that’s why you don’t need Rending Shatter in my opinion. They are also killed quite quickly and you have skills to evade their attacks, which is why I don’t take Crippling Dissipation. The other traits there are more suited for pvp than pve in my opinion. Why would you take a trait which removes boons from mobs?).
Another reason why I picked Sharper Images so that the staff clones can apply additional bleeding stacks through critting.

Hello and welcome!
I am ForgottenSteak and hereby I present you my new Mesmer Build. Well, it isn’t actually new since I have been using this build for ages (quite successful), but I am going to try something new now and pusblish this build so that it doesn’t get lost.
Condition Damage is the most important attribute in this build and that’s why the staff and not the greatsword is used.
Like always, I would like to receive constructive criticism and if you have already tried this build out or are doing it right now, I would like you to give some feedback on how well you are able to cope with it.

I doubt the event will be repeated because of some “minor” server issues.

Scepter is still a useless weapon in pve since you need burst damage in open world pve and sustain damage in dungeons but I believe that it is now a very strong weapon in WvWvW.

Clones destroying phantasms (when 3 phantasms are up) fix suggestions?

Are you saying that the “over spill” slot should be one of the existing 3 or that it should be an additional slot which would mean that you can summon 4 clones?

So you did. I just read your thread and glanced at the build, completely missed what came below. Let us know how the build works out!

Unfortunately I don’t have sufficient money in the game to do a thorough analysis about the equip suiting this build the best (since it is a hybrid build) but if people are interested I can add information about how to use it later.
What I can say so far is that I have been using this build for about 3 weeks and that it’s a viable option if you are a pve player. However, I can not say that it’s not improvable which is why I opened this thread.
At the moment I’m trying out a completely different build which relies on the GS so that I have some comparisons.

First of all, thanks for the feedback. But please read the description below the build, too.

I think your build is all over the place, and will end up being sub-par (in terms of damage output).

Pick between Shatter or Phantasm as your main damage source, and go from there.

If you want to make a Shatter build, 30 in Illusions is pretty much necessary for Illusionary Persona. Same with 20 in Dueling for Deceptive Evasion and 10 in Domination.

If you want to make a Phantasm build, you need 5 in Dueling, 25 in Inspiration and 15 in Dueling.

The thing is that this is a hybrid build like Tina mentioned. You can swap between an open-world burst damage mesmer and a dungeon sustain damage mesmer who relies on phantasms.

You can swap your major traits without retraining.

So when you are using phantasms swap mental torment to empowered illusions, and use more of your traits that give you benefits for each active illusion and buff phantasms. (Do check on which ones work together, the answer right now being mostly none of them.)

When you are shattering switch to your traits that benefit shatter and clone death. They aren’t the same thing, but I prefer to gain some benefit from killed clones rather than it being a lost opportunity to shatter.

Up to you if you prefer illusionary elasticity to deceptive evasion. Each has its benefit.

What you said is true, but that’s exactly what I’ve written in the description about the build.

It utilises shattering in open word pve and phantasms in dungeons.
