obvious to understand and see players/guilds/servers have different playstyles and that they have/can change in this game or previous/future games, can we deal with it, move on and selectively enjoy those parts of wvw that make it fun.

some insane action this week from what i have been able to attend.

shouts to BULL from wednesday night (insane numbers and bomb, as you did when you were known as KAZ) and to VIZ (your openfield play has definately improved, gj).

howdy,

those who have the ascended backpacks will be aware that when they were initially adding to the game. the defensive or offensive infusion slots meant only the different in price of purchasing the agony resistance from the vendor in the fractal (sure they were both +5 but had different prices). so most players went for the look. didn’t change stats for outside the fractal. i.e wvwvw/openworld pve.

they then changed it so there was only one infusion stone that went into all slots for the backpack and both rings. gj there anet. nice correction. i mean that.

however i am now slightly baffled by the addition of the new infusion stones which are limited to the type of slot on the ascended item (defensive/offensive). when players like myself have already crafted (at some cost) one of two backpacks which had no stat difference to begin with but now limit us to a choice of three out of the six available stats.

i understand there maybe a means to limit players slotting too much of one particular stat on their gear (i.e the two unique rings being only offensive and defensive. predicting that will be the same for the ear rings). but either i’ve completely looked over how to get round this (anet are aware and are working on a solution or what i thought was the case, is not) or there has been unintentional mistake in development.

is anyone from anet able to leave a comment or is the gw2 community help me out on the subject?

Ehh not sure you are really correct there. I think people would prefer to watch 5v5, there is a lot more skill demonstrated in those game formats, as someone who has played both spvp and wvw. WvW is interesting for those involved, and it can be fun to watch zerg busting, but I dont think it could ever be something competitive or worth observing. There is a reason why almost all spectated game modes in all of gaming are 5v5 to 8v8. Spvp does actually have strategy whereas WvW not so much.

its the current structure that keeps me from spvp. straight up 5v5 or 8v8 or 20v20 is what I prefer.

there was a spectator system in gw1. where you could watch back ingame all different scales of pvp. Not sure if the smaller scaled pvp was more popular. Can some gw1 guru clarify?

Mention to Viz : You certainly have improved and became very efficient over the last few weeks with your point capping. And its working out nicely. Yep you are very squishy for a tier 1 server but after all you are pug server. A very organised one at that. And as you are a organised pug voice comms server. This is addresses to no one in particular. But well done on the whole.

sad thing is the (as) roaming guilds (mos/option) will drop a tier to some pug server (viz). I dont blame them blobbing after how viz have been playing since after the first week.

kitten it. imo. mos/option. if you wish bring your guild roaming to bt eu primetime. i love to fight you as a guild but rather you not feel you have to blob for points sake in wvw. do as [rg] do. we have a kitten ton of guilds roaming eu primetime. you’ll fit right in.

I get why RG is disappointed . For the first time in their Gw2 life, someone show resistance and don’t let them free farm bag vs PU or smaller guild. That must be hard on them.

You guys are good, with a well oiled mechanic, but you really thought that we, AS, were going to do nothing about it ? Wake up guys and start play some WvWvW.

AS have provided no more resistance than any others in the past but good job undermining all the other guilds/servers we have fought so far.

really missing [mort] and [fm] from VIZ. sorry but for [rg], you guys are the only ones coming at us. everyone else runs/hides/jumps on siege weapons/roleplays. like ER did to us. boring. i don’t play for the points or server, but play to fight the “top” wvw guilds. bring it. like the first week we ([rg]) fought you.

the thief trick on supply camps is fun.

within the first couple of hours of the reset we had RUIN and co doing it at one of their supply camps.

they kept coming back plus had x amount of thieves stopping the cap.

they saved the camp and we farmed them

The assault on [Anchorage Waypoint] is bugged. The Pact don’t move on from “The Pact are preparing to establish a forward base”. On the Piken Sqaure server.

Its been bugged since the 24/09/2012. Reported it ingame and by twitter last week. And now here and twitter. Patch fixed it for all of one day, I should add.
