Hello guys. I have an idea of a new PvP mode I wanted to share. Some people will say “I don’t give a ****” but may be some people will be interested and will add better suggestions (that’s the point of a community).
First step: on your mark!
Create your team (if we can choose th name of the team, that would be awesome). You can be alone, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 20+ in your team. Teams with more than 5 people should have a commander tag and all other guys must join the squad if they want to be in the same team. Size doesn’t matter (I saw this add somewhere but I don’t remember where exactly…). You are here to have fun with your friends (or some random players if you like it).
Nobody wants to fight 3 versus 15 or 2 versus 5. So basically you will fight teams with the same number of players. But I know some players are really competitive so may be let an option to choose the size you want to fight. For example, a team with 2 players could have the following choices: 2, 3 or 5 and a team with 10 players only the following choices: 10, 15 or 20.
Second step: Get set!
Prepare yourself! Check your build and your food. Once done, the party leader (or squad leader) queues the team. You and your teammates are then teleported to a random PvE map or a new PvP map. When I write PvE map, I just talk about the design of the map (do not teleport teams on the megaserver maps and kill all PvE players
). This map must be really big to avoid fighting on 5 square meters. No WP, no trash mob, only players on these maps.
Third step: Go!
It’s time to fight! Walk around the map, find your opponents and fight to death. Each team is your enemy so it’s impossible to be zerged (the enemy of my enemy can’t be my friend). Fight to death because you have no WP. The only way to be resurrected is thanks to your teammates or when all the players of your team/squad are dead. If that’s the case, you are all teleported to a random location on the same map (may be use a specific algorithm to avoid to be teleported right into another team).
Each kills your team makes count as one point. Press B and you will see how many points you or other teams have. Killing first team players owns more points and being first team allows earning more gold when you kill an opponent. Reset points every 15 minutes (to avoid some farm exploits) and you will earn some rewards according to your rank.
I think fighting on PvE maps would be very nice. Imagine fighting on the battle fields of Harathi hinterlands or on the open field of Jormag or the Shatterer.
