Guardian
I just installed a new motherboard and ram, everything seems to be running fine, but now when I open Guild Wars 2, whenever I try to target something that’s an AOE, a bright pink box comes out instead of the actual targeting circle. Any ideas how to fix this? this seems like the only problem I am having since installing the new MB. I may try redownloading the game, but if I didn’t have to, it would be great.
Do I need certain windows 7 updates to work guild wars 2 properly?
Thanks for the info! I didn’t see too much or rather I don’t remember much of it because I stopped playing so long ago. Probably a year or more ago. I guess more of, I’m just looking for a decent player base. I don’t like coming into games that are on the verge of dying, or I can’t even find people to play with. As for the season one stuff, I have no clue what that is lol I’ll have to read up on it or something. Thanks again for not giving a biased POV!
Why don’t you log in and find out yourself?
No one will bite you or charge you money.
I have already done so, but I started over at a low level, and so far all I hear about is a “train” thing in low level areas. It can’t tell me much about what I have looked for so far. I never got too into the game before, so I’m not sure the popular cities or areas.
Hi all, I played Guild Wars 2 when it first came out for a little while. (Level 59 Guardian). I was considering playing again, but I would like to know a few things.
Is the player base high or am I going to see a lot of dead areas and times?
Has the game turned into a pay-to-win game?
Are there good and constant content updates?
If any of you guys could give me some tips and ideas knowing what I would be coming back to, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
I dont understand you people, who doesn’t want mounts?!
Waaaaah Halloween Events plox!~
<3 <3 <3
(thanksgiving, christmas and new years too )
Does anyone know if there are going to be holiday events like in most other games? Example: Halloween events, Christmas events ect..
Would really love to see these in guild wars 2! Sexy Halloween costumes anyone? XD
I don’t know how people can play such a nasty looking outdated games for almost what 10 years now? It’s really a terrible thing to see lol
I was just wondering if there are any rumors or things about content updates soon or in the new future? I’m nowhere near being capped yet but was just wondering
Also are there daily quests in this game? I know there are events and all but like once a day daily quests? Spanx!
Its been a month, and people want expansion already…They could release infinite content and people still won’t be pleased.
Looks like half the people missed one of the main points about my post lol Kudos to you if you are 80 and are fine with it, I’m just stating that to the people that are 80 already, and don’t like it and are complaining about the game lacking, shouldn’t be rushing in the first place if they are going to be bored and complain about it in the end.
I believe there is really no end game though, because any time something new is released people are going to get it as fast as they can and if they can’t get it super fast, they complain about it being way too hard to get and quit anyways. So I’m just telling people, enjoy the game, don’t rush. The game is not going anywhere and the game just came out so don’t expect some huge expansion to come out soon.
Any game could have end game content and people would reach it super fast and still say there is no end game content. There is really no such thing as end game content because people will keep reaching anything new a game adds, and of they don’t, they say the end game is too long and boring and quit anyways. -.-
Then people need to do more with their time because I’m barely level 21 and I’ve had it since the pre release lol I play everyday too xD
On the side note, about people quitting because there is no end game, I really think that is so dumb, everyone expects these mmos coming out to be perfect on the first release, that would be so boring though IMO, because there is no anticipation for anything new, ever. People should take their time leveling and enjoying the game rather than already thinking about quitting less than a month after its release. ~_~Sorry I don’t see how that is possible if you’ve played every day since prelaunch and still are only level 21, you’d have to afk/stand around for hours a day or are only playing for like 30 minutes a day. You can get to level ~15 just by exploring the main towns (if XP rated didn’t change from beta).
Level 21 takes about 10-15 hours, and i’m being generous. It’s been 18 days since prelaunch, so that means you’d have to play roughly 30-45 minutes a day, which is far less than most people are going to play a new MMO. I think I got level 26 the night of the prelaunch (and I wasn’t rushing.. I just played for ~12 hours straight because it was fun). Virtually everything you do gives you tons of XP, I wasn’t even trying to level (ignored my level completely) and I hit 80 in 4 days after launch just by doing random stuff in the game while having fun.
Nope I don’t stand around for hours and do nothing, I go to school have homeowork here and there. When I login I quest for awhile, then when I’m not questing I’m walking around looking for waypoints ect and looking for things in the game I haven’t found out about. And when people say they are not rushing and then say they got to level cap in 4 days it makes my mind boggle. -.- my friend plays everyday after work for about 5 hours and is level 35. He quests and constantly roaming around for points getting xp. If you are playing a game for more than 12 hours a day it can basically be considered rushing, more like having way too much time on your hands, but yep and I don’t mind if people rush or have too much time on their hands, it just annoys me when they complain about having nothing to do lol
It makes me so sad to see the amount of people complaining that there is no end game but farming, what mmo is there that does not have anything but grinding/ farming in their end game? People rush to level 80 in less than a month that the game has been out and say they are going to quit because of issues like this. I think people should spend more time enjoying and seeing the game rather than rushing and saying there is nothing left to do. MMOs are going to keep dying if this continues, SWOTR and Tera, people reached level cap in a week and the games completely died in less than a few months. The only thing that will keep this game stronger is that it is not pay to play, but why the rush everyone? I saw friends at level 80 in 5 days, I play everyday 2-5 hours and am barely level 21, and I have had it since the pre release and it’s nothing but loads of fun for me

People always rush games to level cap then complain how boring it is -.- lol
People who aren’t 80, think everyone who is 80 rushed the game. -.- lol
Being level 80 this point in the game is not rushing. You must work like 12 hours a day or something. It takes almost no time to get 80, even if you play 2-3 hours a day, which I would consider very little for an MMO player.
I mean seriously… You can get level to 60 while gathering mats along the way, and then use those mats to go from 60-80 with about an hours worth of crafting. Leveling is easy. There were level 80s 2 days after launch, that is rushing. I expect a large portion of the players are 80 by now, the problem is most of them stopped playing or made alts because the dungeon grind for cosmetics is not very fun.
Orr seems to be losing population, not gaining. Something needs to be done about the end game, luckily the game doesn’t have a subscription so people will always come back when new content releases.
Previewing in trading post.

Previewing in trading post is my biggest problem. >_<
