Game Updates: Wardrobe, Transmutation, Outfits

I don’t understand why the Outfit system suddenly demands everything be reduced to un-mixable un-dyeable homogenized single unit outfits where they already existed in the game before as parts that we could swap around and use as we wished. It would have been easy enough to simply make the Outfit system just be the Town Clothes system we already had but with the ability to wear them during combat, but suddenly we’re forced to wear the whole thing or never again, and god forbid we actually liked some of the extras like the commoner clothes or earmuffs or something since now those are potions and entirely separate…? Why?

And another thing, the rate of conversion on Transmutation Stones and Crystals is completely screwed up and an obvious cash grab. I could potentially have swapped out the skin of my favorite helmet 30 times with a pile of 30 stones that today was only good to be burned up at a rate of 3-for-a-single-charge and only leave me with 10 possible changes. If anything we should have gotten far more charges per stone and crystal but now we’ve been drained and expected to pay more to buy more charges for this new system.

Town Clothes Un-Mixable, Undyable?

This is infuriating and unnecessary. Like, my typical town clothes setup was my Fancy Winter outfit sans the ridiculously ugly hat, which I was free to take off and replace with the much-better-looking earmuffs. Now if I ever want to wear that outfit again I’m stuck playing it to their forced cookie-cutter design looking ugly and no chance to mix and match or just not wear the stupid hat altogether? If I would have known this was how it was going to end up I never would have spent the gems on it in the first place.

20-slot bags and Precursors?

I think I have a right to complain if I played a nigh-unplayable event with lag, culling, and disconnects for almost three hours and got nothing for it when someone lucky who popped in for 5 minutes and only tagged one thing got rewarded.

Thank you Anet...

If it would have been an instance, say one you could only complete once, but you were guaranteed the rewards instead of people like me getting d/c’d and screwed out of a chance to ever get that chest, it would have been great. You could have coordinated and had a fun time with friends. But it was a horrible, laggy, culling-ridden zergfest where I spent 2 and a half hours only to not be able to participate in the last few minutes or whatever and get back in for a chest I’ll never have another chance at.

I don’t see why some people are opposed to making these things instanced — Anet put in the effort to make a nice zone and mobs, so just going ahead and putting it in instances instead would cut down on these problems a lot.

At this rate I’m pretty sure we’re doomed to the infighting between the lucky kisd swarming the thread with “thank you Anet don’t give anyone else a chance to get what they deserve” threads and those of us who got gipped. Plus, removing the gold now might actually harsh the economy for people who bought/traded with the people that got loot, which would be unfair to them.

Precursors, really?

I’m not mad that some people got precursors, I’m mad that I spent two and a half hours fighting and didn’t get -anything.-

Dear all: Cheer up!

Not everyone “chose” to leave. Especially those of us who were already tired but kept playing even through the unplayable levels of lag only to be dropped and get nothing for it while a few get awesome one-time loot and are presently gloating about it and telling Anet “good job” and not to give the rest of us a chance.

Oh, look, another one of the lucky few.

And even if you DID get the loot, the amount of lag, culling, and crashing was inexcusable, in addition to the fact that the event was hours of repetitive whittling away at potentially infinitely respawning NPCs.

Not sure what issues ppl having with loot...

Sitting there fighting the same two types of invisible culled NPC with billions of HP and instant death attacks that you cannot see coming (due to being culled, after all) and lagging out for two hours to get NO loot whatsoever from being lagged out/crashed/disconnected after staying there through the entire mess, maybe?

And in this corner, we see someone who DID actually get to loot the chest, unlike the majority of us after hours and hours…

Phase 1 and 2 were slow and unrewarding, but I stuck with it. Phase 3 was 2 hours of me trying to keep with an utterly terrible and boring event then getting cheated out of a reward chest for it.

Mine is the same issue, but with college. Still, got gipped out of the reward after two hours of participation.

I grinded away on this event for over two hours to get nothing and I’m pretty sure my log would show it, so can I have the rewards that I should have earned now?

Disconnected at the final phase! [Merged]

I spent 2 hours working at these events and didn’t even get to get the reward at the end, and will never be able to again.

Great. Thanks a lot, Anet.
