Population control on WvW:
Scrap your WvW current state. Allow guilds to create alliances thru GW2 and they then play as a server.
Rethinking the whole process is better than what you have today. The issue is not population on a server you might transfer to but the competition you play at.
Make the ability to create server alliances gold – gem based. The player created servers would be separate from the current servers. The player based servers would be size restricted and have better rewards. They would be in different leagues. They should be invite only.
I hope Anet only puts things that the players can help change.
1) the ring for the keep should encompass the whole keep/tower like they do for camps.
2) keep/towers should go neutral if no one is in it.
3) siege should not give wxp when destroyed and should only have a 5 minute life
4) Supply from a single doylak should fill the keep/tower
5) Attack on a keep should be based on amount of damage percentage not just Attack.
1)Rally – Rally should only help the top 5 damage dealers.
2)Waypoint with Commander tag- Squad waypoint ability
3)AoE should not reach outside of Visual reference – Siege and players on the walls should have better protection being inside keep/tower. – Make walls thicker….
I was in a small group and went into the ruins. One objective was flipping ever minute soo I was intrigued. Found a enemy and a group of my server where swapping the capture. I think they where PvE players cause they where not fighting just swapping the ruin for achievements.
They take inconsideration on how many posts you do.\sarcasm
I think random is better than FIFO or LIFO since those those servers that have highest queue should not punish those that just signed on. I would love to see the formula they choose. I bet everytime someone gets in, the queue is reset.

4)Server Tithing {Allow guilds buy weekly components that can be used by the server for a week. (A siege vendor that would be used for the week)}

As long as there is two tier 1 with either Mag or SBI the first week I will be happy.
Make it a place where your weekly battle servers all load into one place where you can chat, GvG , train, TP, Bank, craft, and vendor.
You should only be able to change BL thru this location. So the Citadel has one gate and the [M] only shows your current BL.
There should be no BL activity but WvW.
After seven weeks, which league your in is important.To be in a league should be based on Achievements at the end of the week not PPT.
How will Selection after season 1 and on will servers be selected?

What is the difference from moving supply from borderlands if you cant do that with golems?
There should be no supply transfers.
Secondary question: Does your WXP value carry from borderland to borderland or does it reset on map change?

The best part about WvW is there is no winners. The only reward now is each week you get 1 2 or 3 chests depending on your server result for that week. Personally the rank or tier concept does not matter.
With the leagues coming nothing changes except the scores will be within your league. Sure matches will be random and each server will zerg the way they do. Guild transfers only effects who is playing. Many time my guild would be out numbered 2 to 3 and we would still win the battle. Even if we wipe you pay 3 silver and run back in. Its a game not life or death.Does the match really matter?
Map chat is for your server. Soo when you have a Que, just multiply by three.
Its because transfers are not just for WvW (in Anet’s eyes).
I keep saying they should just break the link between WvW and PvE. Keep your 24 PvE servers but create a new system of maybe 18 WvW servers with different names.
2 separate transfer options, one for PvE based on total pop and one for WvW based on rank. 2 leagues of 9. No empty servers.

Yes I think your right. Our accounts should directly link to our PvE and WvW separate.
We should log into a Mist type location for WvW and have a portal entrance like we have at spawn points.. A gate for each boarder land. There should be sense of community there. We could do training and tactics.
PvE should take you automatically to Lions arch on login.

I dont think you win anything for winning your league just the weekly match. To me getting a single prize for coming in third is great.
I think the only thing they should do is show in Server stats. Which guild did what during the week for that server. What player did what. That would make a zerg lets valued since you could have a competition within your own server.
How about setting the map cap to 40 and forcing the overstacked server’s population to move to lower pop servers. Then while you’re at it, prevent future WvW players to transfer to the overpopulated server.
Balance achieved.

Have a player count on game screen for each BL and get a equal buff for that.

less zergs on a larger map. You wont have coverage you can in a small map. If you can waypoint and travel in less time than it takes a zerg to capture Bay then you even make a larger zerg to jump from map to map. You get to share all supply from each map.
If there is only one map and limited supply you cant siege up one map from another maps supply camp. There are ways to stop this like golems cant be moved map to map maybe siege blueprints and supply cant be moved map to map? It would be simplier code to just have one map.
The game has changed in such a way to mandate a layout map change. WvW attributes have changed the game.
We need a larger map.
Fewer towers.
Fewer camps.
Fewer keeps.
Karama Trains are bad.
The map should make water combat more interesting.
Defensive play should be more exciting.
There should be no treb advantages. Placing a treb higher than you opponent should not be win.
The height terrain advantage should only be used in open field combat not siege.
There should be few choke points.
There should be guild rewards for holding keeps,towers, and camps. This will make GvG true in WvW.
There should not be 4 maps but one map large enough to hold 4 maps worth of players.
Lets get these changes in.
Best part of this matchup is TS3 when JQ is inc as we are attacking Bay lord

Will every matchup with in a server now get at least 1 reward chest every week within the season?
How will the matchups be selected every week after Oct 18?
What happens when the season ends, will servers be assigned based on standings with some sort of value?
With DB on the decline (due to anets poor decisions), SoS will be pushed up into gold league and we’ll get curb stomped every week (we won’t get a single week with a win or even second). How thoughtful of you ANet.
Judging by MOS predictions, SoS will be 6th next week and DB 7th. Guess I won’t be opening the game for quite a while now.
Even if we stay in silver, we’ll curb stomp the servers lower than us, there’s still a huge gaping hole in WvW match ups.
FA/Mag is the most fun we can hope for…. and the leagues will mean that match up will never happen.

- T1 is servers 5, 7 and 9
- T2 is servers 1, 2 and 11?? What garbage.
I think there has to be a better rating system. There should be considered ranking values. Rank should carry a multiple. If the rank 2 is facing rank 7 and rank 4, rank 7 should get 3.5x points and rank 4 should get 2x points. This will show matchup value.
SoS just wants to be not Red!!!!!
I would think they relax the Scope of random and allow for greater variance.
Let a rank 5 play a rank 18 and a Rank 7 play a rank 23. Then it would be fun to see the forums.

Just want to say that we feel bad for sos, TC is actually a pretty good server and they are highly underrated. Its just that they are not purely a wvw server. If there servers main focous was wvw they would be T1 material. if there was another server with TCs strength in the current matchup I think TC would be doing a lot better it would take a lot of pressure off of them. Aside from that SoS much respect for you guys that I saw in wvw still fighting regardless. You guys got delt a really bad hand this time. ANET fix this please its not fair for servers like sos.
Pity will be applied to SoR after Blackgate stays at #1. I feel bad for you guys. TC barley held off Dragonband last week. Now that SoS has two servers who think they are great we are the ones that will benefit.

Random is a great concept. Keeps it fun and lights up the forums and TeamSpeak. The underdog is not really a bad place to be. I find the underdog fun.
I just wish we where Green or something. Red after 2 weeks is annoying.

Id argue SOS got the lucky roll again and SOR got the unlucky roll. You realise how much SOR has to beat SOS by in order to not lose substantial points? SOS just has to show up and they are going to gain a lot of points.
Some people think winning is based on your zerg wiping out a 10 man group. HAHAHA I agree that TC and SoR will come to Sos level faster than FC moves up.
SoS is fine, we are the ones with the green Evolution. The underdog adjustment is AWESOME.

Why the heck does a Tier 4 Server SoS, Tier 2 TC, get matched up with SoR?
We are getting farmed, its the first freaking day and we are already getting siege spawn camped on our own borderlands
I am also on TC but I see a different picture. Sor and TC are dropping because we are not doing a Zerg. We ninja and have been beating up other because of it.
I think the server match up is great cause Zerg servers have moved up in the past cause of the belief you are loosing. People would not join into WvW cause the think dying is bad.
We all must now realize that persistence and defense is more important than dying.
