No there is no option to turn this off. I’ve tried every option possible.
I wonder how many people have left this game because of this. No other mmo does it this way and I’m close to leaving my self. Only reason I haven’t is because of necro being a range character that makes it a little easier. When I play a melee character I just want to put my fist through my monitor. Its so frustrating and annoying makes playing a melee class impossible.
So if there’s a mod out there that fixes this problem why doesn’t anet just fix this for us and make people happy ?
So am I the only one that has this problem?
Will we ever get the option to turn off targeting on the right mouse button? In wvw its impossible to keep someone targeted in medium to large battles. Its very annoying and frustrating for people that use right mouse button to turn their character.

This is really ruining WvW when I can’t keep a target in large fights.
So make a post if you think middle mouse button has a problem. But there is nothing wrong with that button.

What about the middle mouse button? Has nothing to do with right mouse button problem
I don’t trust mods from other people because of account security reasons. I would love tosee a change to this button no other mmo does it this. Why Anet did it this way is beyond me only thing I can think is the people who design this use keyboard to turn their character.
Was hoping someone from Anet would be able to give us an answer if this is maybe in the works or on the list of things to do maybe (:-))

Wow really thats the problem right clicking to target. People who use the right mouse button lose there target while in combat when there is multiple enemies around. People who use the keyboard keys to turn have no idea the problem we have.
Promote skill target does not fix the problem
Yes you can target with both mouse buttons. For people that use right mouse button to look around makes things very hard to do in battle. This the only mmo that does this an is very annoying and game breaking for us.
Why is the right mouse button used to target and why dont we have the option to change this?
People need to stop crying thief nerf coming March 26 ……. no more culling cant wait to hear the thiefs cries (:-))

Right now there’s a problem people claiming camps/towers/keeps with no buffs just to either show off there banner or troll the server. Second problem is guilds that do have buffs claim something then hours later buffs run out and there’s no one on from that guild to release what ever they took so some other guild can claim it.
For first problem i was thinking they should add a requirement of a certain amount of buffs going to claim something.
Supply camps should have who is claiming at least one buff active and if they have only one buff it has to be the plus 5 to supply carry. Imo thats the most important buff for supply camps.
Towers should have who is claiming at least 3 buffs active and has to be buffs that gives stats not the plus to experience,magic find, ect. Keeps, garrison, and SM should have who is claiming at least 5 buffs active and has to be buffs that give stats not experience, magic find, ect. To qualify.
Second problem fix is to put a timer on after buffs run out so that the guild automatically releases what ever they have claimed. I say this timer should be like one hour.

I would love to see housing like they had in Dark Age of Camelot or like Rift has now. I just hope they dont do instance housing like Ever Quest 2 had
I know defending and taking Overlook keeps count got it tonight.
@ blanketfreak in the early days of GW2 monthly achievements W3 kills was there quite a few times from what I recall. People complained and were told to suck it up/don’t have to do it/no ones forcing you rhetoric.
Ya i was there when wvw kills were in the monthly. Been hear since head start and read the forums everyday and because people cried back then we havent seen wvw kills since. So if enough of us wvw complain we might win too or the should add wvw kills back in then because that the only fair way.
To all the people that say suck it up its only 40 crafting items. I hope next month daily has 500 WvW kills and 100 spvp kills to complete it and watch who cries…..

I have 10 toons 9 of them are 80. Necro staff spec is by far my favorite class. Btw i love wvw and thats where i lvled them mostly. About 90% of the lvls came from wvw.
MF works. I’ve tested it in orr. I have around 350 hours plus farming penitent/shelter. When i first started farming there i had no MF and would avg about 1 gold a hour. Then i got my MF up to 175% and avg 4 gold plus a hour. So i really think MF works. Theres other factors that matter to when farming events like these. A group is a must to get most loot possible and having right class that has good aoe. I use engineer with granades by far best farmer for these two events. btw i have one 80 of every class and tried them all.
Its all about keyboard set up. Default key binds are just bad and im not sure why mmos keep using this set up. Using the keyboard to turn your character is just bad compared to using the mouse. I have a few friends that cant complete certain jumping puzzles because they cant turn fast enough and the same reason they hate wvw. I tell them to change their key binds so A and D are there strafe keys and dont bind any keys for turning and use the right mouse button for turning. So far only 1 friend did and he’s loving it. Just took him a while to get use to it. Also have 1 friend that uses left and right mouse at same time to move forward thats even worse she cant even complete the easy jumping puzzles. So i hope this helps some people.
Whats your keybinds? Make sure your using right mouse button to turn your toon. Dont use left and right mouse button to make your toon move forward. Use keys like W and S to move forward and backwards and use A and D to strafe left and right. These are some mistakes 2 of my friends made and the reason they wouldnt do jp’s

Please give us the option to not target with right mouse button. This is really making it hard for people that use that button to look around. I keep losing my target. Really a painin wvw becuase action so fast. 8 lvl 80’s and i just cant get use to this. This the only mmo that ive played that is this way and ive played 30 or so mmo’s in the last 14 years. This is really ruining the game for me becuase i love wvw. Please just give us an option to change this.
