hey i was wondering if Anet will be releasing any patch notes on current in game things that have changed eg. Rune of Vampirism becoming an aoe steal on tier 6, minions global change … we going to told about these things or are going to have to going hunting them down.?

While this is a cool i’d like to see slow spread through Revenant’s ability.
Is absurd that thieves steal from us slow but we can’t apply it except from downed state.

Please keep it cool I personally like it the way it is. Gives that extra reach from foes who try to hual a… when they know they are about to lose. Maybe something like gs #1 on mesmer

While it does roots you, it is a long block that also heals you for a large amount. Basically like some of our lower heal skills right now. If you could move while using this skill it’s power would need to be brought down a lot.

Yes I know the sword blocks more frequently than the shield, but it lacks the heal I need. All other shields skills on other classes are mobile

i remember an old thread mentioning Crystal Hibernation being changed from rooting us to becoming being able to used while moving and you said you would look into it.? could you confirm if it will be changed for BWE3.

Revenant starting level

Revenants will start at level 1 like any other character.

Out of curiosity, we know their starting legend will be Jalis, but what about the weapon? Will it be sword or something else? New characters usually start with the most simple/straightforward kind of weapon which in this case I think it’s sword for revenant.

Currently it’s set to mace. It could go either way between sword and mace though.

Hey all,

The Reflexive Hammers trait in retribution is going to be changed after BWE3, before launch. Right now since it uses projectiles that hover around you, they currently don’t work underwater and I think it no longer really fits the line as that is more about damage, plus it muddies the FXs around the character when the actual hammers are around you.

Soooooo…. I wanted to throw out an idea I had about a new GM trait for retribution to place it and see what you all think. The trait would be more dwarf stance focused since we don’t have a dwarf stance specific trait.

  • It would give you some way to proc Rite of the Great Dwarf like at some percent health trigger or something and then make Rite of the Great Dwarf (both proc and the skill) have reduced condition damage taken as well while allies have the buff.

Let me know what you think.

this is a great one. i think it would make for a difficult choice on which one to pick, i think at 50% would be ideal since the other traits gives you one more chance at; Jade Echo on downed (one last vengeful attack),Soothing Bastion at 25% (one last stand), and Rite of the Great Dwarf (one last re-composure).

A lot of stuff (in general) doesn’t show up in the log. Look for the actual damage/heal numbers on screen to see if it is working. I had to do the same thing with life steal prices on vengeful hammers.

i’ll watch my vids i recorded the fights.

hey Roy,
during the last two BWE i didnt notice any effect from taking this traits. i think the trait need to be Simplified. i did a few tests and checked my dmg log NOTHING came up after swapping legends not the heal or Damage effect i fought Chieftain and Svanir.

What will be interesting is if we get 2 rune sets. There’s already a base rune set for each profession, and another rune set coming out for each Specialization.

I don’t expect a Traveler/Divinity style runeset, especially since eles (the most hybrid class by design) don’t have one either.

Also, Roy has specifically stated that energy management will not be added.

So yeah, I’d say a ferocity/fury runeset is quite likely.

i cant imagine what the rune of revenant stats are going to be. the only thing that makes sense is rune of travelers being renamed as the rune of revenant since the revenant touches on every stat in the game some how. what do you guys think.

hey Roy,
just a thought wouldn’t it make for some play if Opportune Extraction converted a boon to its corresponding condition instead of just removing it. i think it would synergy really well with the other traits being as Corruption is the condition line for the revenant and With the new changes to the line i think this would fit in perfectly.

Corruption
In the corruption specialization, there were a few traits which needed some tweaks in power to be competitive options. As an example revenant did not have many options to apply poison, but had the trait Venom Enhancement which increased poison duration so I thought it made sense to also apply poison itself.
Pulsating Pestilence: Increased the trigger chance from 15% to 25%.
Replenishing Despair: Increased the base heal by 300% and added a 1 second internal cool-down.
Venom Enhancement: This trait will now apply poison for 5 seconds with a 20 second recharge when you apply torment as well as increasing poison duration.

love these changes. But you could make Pulsating Pestilence only trigger when there are conditions on you. i noticed BW1 and BW2 that the trait would trigger whether or not you had conditions on you. Similar to how sigil of generosity and purity work, which on trigger when you have a condition on you.
you can also increase the non-movement torment damage by 20%, like other classes have you can add it to Yearning Empowerment line

LETS all meet half way here. seem most people have an issue with the evade.
keep Unrelenting Assault the way is it. but change the evade to lets say 30% chance to evade while using the skill.
i think that’s fair for both parties.

how come the shield #4 is unblock-able on the revenant yet it does not actually do any damage. i think they should add a soft control cc i.e chill,slow or cripple plus a little direct damage on contact with a foe. the mesmer shield does direct damage plus a SLOW. that would not be right not to have the revenant shield have some kind of direct damage on hit.

That’s a great idea. But why not add the daze on tome of courage and full heal upon activation, and have tome of wrath next attack knocks down(guardian only) and grant 3secs of quickness and 10sec of fury with a 60sec cooldown each
