Greetings fellow gamers,

Order of Shadows [OoS] is recruiting fellow explorers of Tyria. We have had several members have schedule changes, medical issues, and graduate level exams going on lately, so we need an infusion of new blood to help flesh out our guild events and possibly fill some new leadership positions.

OoS has been around since the launch of GW2 and is not a multi-game guild, though many of us have played other MMOs in the past. We are a semi-casual, 18+ (with a few F&F exceptions), PvX guild that is based on the Darkhaven server. What we mean by semi-casual is that we all have lives outside of the game and we recognize that by not having a set attendance policy. However if you are coming with us to a guild event we expect you to be ready to work hard and pay attention, while still being able to joke around. We are more than happy to teach new players the ropes as well as hone our veteran players skills. We love progressing as a guild, but are more than happy to help our members attain their personal goals as well. We like to have a good time and so if cursing or a few off-colored jokes offend you then we are probably not the guild for you.

What we can offer you:

• A Small/Medium sized guild with close to 40 members, but we are always looking for more active members.

• Our Guild is run off of CST, but we have members from several different time zones. We have runs during the day and at night that are scheduled on a weekly basis.

• We use Ventrilo on our runs. You don’t have to have a mic, but we would love if you would at least listen in so you don’t miss out on the conversation.

• We run guild bonuses daily and will drop specific banners if requested to by members.

• We have knowledge on every dungeon in story mode and most of them in explorable. If we haven’t had first hand experience on an explorable mode we are quick to learn the ropes.

• We are not looking to become one of the super guilds that have 500+ members. We want to be able to know all of our members on a first name basis; no one gets lost in the crowd.

• We don’t play favorites when it comes to who goes on dungeon runs. We use sign-ups and have rules to go along with those so everyone has an equal chance.

• We have unlocked guild bounties, but we have yet had a chance to run them and are extremely anxious to do so. We are diligently working to open other guild missions.

• We schedule WvW twice a month, but are open to going into battle more often.

• We don’t have any repping requirements, but the more you rep the more we can get to know you and the more we can do for the guild as a whole.

• We don’t require that you set a main character; we want you to be able to play whatever character you are enjoying the most.

One of the first things our guild did when we created our website was design a guild charter with what our guild’s rules were and what the guild’s purpose was. Once we decided to start recruiting we came up with a policy. We want everyone to mesh so we feel the recruitment period is really for everyone. We want everyone to have a good time; so if someone decides we aren’t the right fit we usually friend them and let them know if they ever need help to contact us. No hard feelings on either side; you never know when someone might change their mind.

Your site shows little to no activity. Months pass between posts. I wouldn’t direct people there as it shows your guild is dead.

What you’re seeing is what an unregistered user can see, simply because we don’t want our entire forums as a free viewing for the internet. It has our rules/regulations, and a little bit about us. Once you register you’ll see that people post daily on our site, and we have a lot of activity within our community for events and new ideas.

While we mostly focus on PvE, we do run events every week, everything from wvw, dungeons, fractals and once guild missions are in we’ll be scheduling those as well. We have a vent server that we use when we do events together, and even sometimes when we’re just playing.

As far as our server goes it’s fairly well populated in PvE and we’ve won the last three WvW matchups we’ve had as well. We’re also ranked within the top 15 WvW servers the last time I checked.
