Those are good tips, I will try them. The story shows up in the upper right side. It says for me to go to Dry Top. Let me gather up some screen shots. I am hoping that Spark is what I need.
I just purchased the Season 2 pack. I played through the intro to the first module and then it told me to go to Dry Top. I went to dry top and now the green beacon is missing. If I teleport back to Core Tyria the green beacon shows up in Dry Top, but again, the very minute I go to Dry Top the beacon disappears.
I went to the location where the beacon should be and there is nothing there. I am not sure how to reset this or make this work so I can play through the story further.
Also, I activated a different story section and the re-activated it again thinking that this might fix the problem, but it is still doing the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had this happen to me. Thanks to the posts in this thread, I just turned off minions and it worked. The minions were healing him for some reason. Not sure why. Only took me like 25 minutes to figure it out…haha

I can’t really run around solo in HoT for long. If I do, I get smacked down in an event. I handle the general mobs ok, but sometimes a veteran sneaks up on me and smacks me.
Maybe the new Legendaries will use the dye system. And maybe you can pick from/get more visual effects for them as you go along.

We just started playing Guild Wars 2, and many of the members play other games. We have regular nights where we run as groups and we enjoy just about everything the game has to offer.
We play mostly PVE as a group, but we also group up for PVP throughout the week although we are not super competitive. We are very friendly and it is like a family. We kick out the riff raft. We are also supported by a few different podcasts that our members produce and we enjoy anything that people might bring to our gaming group.
We plan on raiding with the expansion, but again as long as it is fun. No pressure, no stress.

I actually liked the event. I was able to get 25-30 blooms per run, and I only had one DC that caused me to not get any rewards for that session. I was only able to get one reward (shoulders) but that is OK. I didn’t feel I had the right to get every reward, and I expected that at some point in the future it would run again and I would be able to get some of the items that I missed out on from this time.
Great event, hope something happens again where I can get those sweet hands. Love you as always GW2.
I think the Incridibles covered why capes are a bad idea. They get caught in things and then you die.

I believe this. Esports is the rage.
As long as the loot is balanced with the rest of the game, it won’t be a problem. If the loot you need to succeed at the rest of the game can only come from raids, then it gets sticky.
It is just a large group event. Like a dungeon, sort of. Usually more story driven, larger content and sometimes very impactful to the overall story. They also require lots of coordination. Usually it is the best loot, takes a long time to play and is difficult to the point where you can expect to die frequently.
I hope all the rumors are true. I think this would be a great thing for the game, and I am sure that it will be a different experience than other games, which is what I love. The only thing I ask is that they keep things open. I don’t like how all of these new “mmo” expansions are becoming more and more on rails. I want to just do whatever I want, whenever I want. I need the freedom to screw up my build, do stupid things, try out new ways of playing and still enjoy the game.
