The tournament to qualify for next season’s pro league. The one where in order to qualify your guild team needs to be in the top 5 on the leaderboards.

I feel something that can benefit in lowering the learning curve is adding a death timer to the scoreboard showing when enemy players will respawn. Technically someone could just watch the text on the bottom left hand corner of the screen when it shows when someone dies anyways and time that, so I think this would be useful.

it’s because if someone is new to pvp, they would watch a pro match and not understand half of whats going on. other games are easier to follow regardless of skill level.
fresh air ele and any mesmer at all levels of play. in terms of competitive play, dagger pistol thief and power ranger are hard to play defensively. also cele rifle engi is a bit harder than most builds.

Dear Arena Net, currently the key binding for drawing on the map is holding shift in while you drag with the mouse, I was wondering if there was anyway to change that from shift to something else.

I disagree with Ghost as well. Traits do make a difference, and without having them while others do gives you an unfair disadvantage. Guild Wars 2 PvP was built on a system which revolved around skill and got rid of the pay to win aspect. Purchasing traits to have a better build, although might seem miniscule, is still advantageous.

I’d like to reiterate that yes, with a good, coordinated team, turret engis are easy to beat. However even in high MMR, there is a good chance you will have 1 or 2 players that won’t coordinate or aren’t the greatest at facing turret engis and will simply yolo dive the turrets every time they respawn. I do think turret engis need to be toned down because of many reasons; they require no skill, they don’t scale with stats, and the biggest reason – they easily beat teams that aren’t coordinated. This makes them the solo queue kings, as you can simply roll turret engi and easily get to mid to high MMR with having no idea how to even PvP. This creates imbalance when turret engis play other classes or builds because they don’t know how to fight or rotate, and are in higher MMR games.
Hopefully anet does implement a skill based leaderboard, however i reckon they would also have to “unmerge” solo queue and team queue.
Jasher, I agree with you 100%. sPvP is not 100% equal because everything isn’t unlocked yet and I think Arena Net should take a look at this, as the original intention is for everyone in sPvP to be equal no matter how much time they put into the game.
yeah turret engis need to be toned down, they wreck lower to mid tier players and require no skill. pug stomper. if you ever play with a team that knows what their doing (will be impossible in solo q) tell them to let the turret engi afk a point and play the other 2, which will make the game 4v5 on the other 2 so you should be able to win em by +1ing each fight (turret engi won’t rotate) . that’s the beauty of conquest right there, rotations. it’s also the reason you don’t see turret engis in higher tier play, because they have poor rotation. still, anet needs to turn down this no skill build, make turrets scale with stats so turret engis can’t go full tank and still do a massive amount of damage.

Why am I waiting in a 7 minute queue every game to play with the same people I played with last game. Please Anet fix your queues it’s bad enough we have to STAY in the heart of the mists during queues, now we have to wait a whole game’s length just to play one.

no, its not that bad in NA, ranked queue is normally about +2 mins longer wait then unranked. Guild wars 2 pvp has always been learn or die. Sorry for your loss
Looking for a competitive team to play tourneys, I have tournament experience with my guild, but am looking for a good team that I can try out for. I multiclass, but mostly play cele dd ele. Can also cele rifle engi, cele shoutbow war, and condi ranger. Mail me if your looking for a good player to try out for your team. 1v1’s, rotation, and team fights. I have voice comms as well.
I could sub or play, try me out. I run a great spirit condi ranger, thats really tanky. Great at team fights and 1v1. I know its not meta but Im great at it. In game name – Zercko. (14 on leaderboard NA even though it may mean nothing just wanted to state it)

I run a survival shortbow, sword dagger condi evade ranger , and also switch to a roaming power ranger when a roamer is needed. Normally float around top 15-40 on NA leaderboards. Looking for some players like me who want to start being competitive in this video game. In game name is – zercko (I pvp a lot so you may have seen me around) Win rate is only around 55-60 percent, but that’s from playing with friends.

This has been a known problem for at least 2 months now! People are using speed hacks to teleport around the map. This is happening in wvw and spvp and multiple people have been reporting it. And no, im not a noob who just thinks people using a signet of air are hacking, I’ve been playing since pre-release so I know better. These people are literally teleporting around the map. Think of the elementalist’s lightning flash ability with a 0 second cooldown. I didn’t report anything in the forums because I thought the report feature would handle it, but it is starting to get out of hand. Next time I see it I’ll record a video of it and post it on youtube.
Just wanted to report a bug that has been happening for the past few days. This has happened in both ranked and unranked arena where I’ve queued solo. During the game, the match found message will appear for every player in the game. (my team and the other) and there will be 2 options as usual; accept or cancel. I normally hit cancel, but after this message appears anywhere between 3 – 5 players left the matches. So this leads me to believe they have hit accept. Just a small bug I’d like to report that can make games lopsided. Thanks!
