Hi, just wanted to ask the forum a quick question about the instant 80 boost item, I myself have leveled 10 lvl 80’s and bought a extra char slot to use my boost so alls good i know how to use it.

my question is, if i bought HoT for my brother, who has vanilla/base gw2, does he get the boost, or was it only given to players that had HoT already last week?

wiki says its awarded for buying HoT, but im just double checking before i dish out money.

just it would get my bro more into the game, as he enjoys it as a game but is new to mmo’s and finds it a bit tedious leveling, but if he got the boost he would love the story’s, dungeons etc.

I suspect one day they will add it. It does seem a fairly logical addition to the game, since most MMO’s use it. It’s a much requested QoL feature (hence why it was on the notes)

aha dont worry about the shame bit, my heart briefly stopped after posting and then it clicked and i felt the shame and questioned the backlash of replies i will get soon after haha, had to be me xD, well at least i saved someone else from embarrassment lol

i just saw “customisable ui” and when a bit crazy and logged in as quick as i could,

shame really as loads of people have been asking for a guild wars one style customizable UI for a while now.

i miss being able to have the map and skills etc wherever i wanted.

latest patch says fully customization UI, cant customize anything, is this april fools from Anet?

very simple question, I have ordered a second 1080p monitor to go with my 4k 28 monitor so i can have wiki,netflix, whatever running on one screen while i play the lovely gw2 on the 4k, my question is with the current version/patch of the game, what parts can I move to the other screen?, like can i press m and move the map to one monitor and have the game on the other? a bit like guild wars one, i do know quite a bit of it is locked, if any admins are here is there a UI update in the works to do this?

The best advice I can give for a quick level is crafting, if you have some spare cash buy gems, convert to gold in the gem store currency exchange then get crafting!, costs about 100 to 150 gold per levelling guide I think, ten ton hammer do good crafting guides, just type in Google gw2 ( insert crafting name, armour smith or whatever) guide, it gives about 8 levels per 0 to 400 crafting. That’s how I’ve been levelling my alts that I can’t be bothered to do hearts with hope that helps.

Hi, I am just about to buy a load and I mean LOADS of gems to convert to gold and am going to buy some skins for my necro with it, just wondering what ones I should go for, I think I’ve whittled it down to either chaos or let line, item skins I am looking to buy are staff, axe and war horn , what do you guys and gals think looks better?

just bought a 4k monitor for this beautifull game but when I change the resolution to 4k the interface is unuseable due to it being downsized, anyone else run a 4k monitor and can help?

I am a warrior with full flame legion armour that’s a mixture of blood red and black, which skin do you think would suit my armour more? Going for a gothic look.

I don’t think there’s anyway you can transfer, best option would be jump on a champ train and hope you get scrolls of knowledge from the boxes

So i can make and wear the normal ascended and infuse it later? How does it work? Once you’ve worn ot can you still chick ot in mystic forge?

I was halfway through a storyline mission when the client backed out and said it had encountered a problem to stop it from running, has anyone else experienced this? Is all my chars and gear safe? :/

So after going through the lfg system i find myself 5 (max) players then when i go to enter the dungeon it still says lfg not explorable mode, any idea why?

Ah fair enough, that’s a long time for my lvl 8 asura lol, looks a bit weird on an assassin, thanks for the reply’s, i presume its a main quest reward?

I don’t know what im ment to mix it with the strap wont work :/

Iv bought it with real money only to find out it has to be applied and is not ready to use, i have 5 transmute crystals, a strap and im level 23 with my highest character, it wont accept the strap or a backpack if i drag it in.

I wasent bothered with spending 3 or 4 £ for backpacks and mini’s, but i currently need to switch server because all my friends are on another server, and its near or about £20 which IS overpriced.

Itll go then come back too yeah :/, lets hope it gets sorted soon, i thought it was my soundcard to begin with.
