So, I decided to take a short break till Wintersday and I come back to a very noticable seam on my engineer who is wearing the vigil medium legs. It seems to create it with any top you wear so it is the legs themselves. I’ve taken a few screenshots on both my engi and ranger in highest settings possible and lowest, its still there on both. I hope this gets fixed sometime soon.

Oh there’s a name for FA, but it will just show up as Fort Kitten.

Grew up gaming in an internet cafe that had a solid guideline on trash talk with strict no swearing. We could curse if it merited but just cursing to insult someone shows poor creativity.

Seems like FA has switched places with TC in camping the EB JP now. And they sure do like to emote spam.

I was the Norn Mesmer.

You guys were getting far (hitting the very top of the Arena), FA and YB acting together. You both were about to break through (so close, so many times). But then we saw FA turn on you YB folk. We were laughing, but in sadness.

Sorry for the very very very long camping session (about 10 hours), but we needed to keep it clear for our folk. FA was hostile and kill on sight for all the fighting/camping. YB was allowed to pass for many hours (off and on). Until 3 of them turned on us at the top. They thought I was the only one still there, but I had stealthed friends in case I was pushed or yanked off during porting. Shady indeed (they were acting all friendly while TC outnumbered them by large amount).

After that, truce was off for a while. Then later back on, but a male YB Guardian (honestly couldn’t tell if Human, Sylvari, or Norn) decided to attack our siege set in place for FA (twice). Truce was off again until FA pushed through with a stealthed Mesmer and cleared us out.

If it is any consolation, I got a lot of badges from the FA group that killed you (not an insult to FA. FA was just always so close they didn’t want to give up, and I thought they’d wipe us for sure, yet they kept dying and rezzing hoping their Mesmers would make it). Not so many badges from YB (since YB were either allowed to pass, or just not as numerous during the fighting periods).

The only fix they need is to put a mystic fountain at the end of the darkroom just before the little arena with animals in it, then you can basically stealth through the whole puzzle.

Except for chain-arrowcarting the obvious spots causing stealth to break.

And then you get hit by all their balistas on the high ground if you make it far enough.

I honestly target FA first since a few weeks ago they said Yak’s using siege golems was cheating. And then they whined how they had no off hour presence, all it ever is with FA is whine whine whine. They earned the target on their back.

My account just got restored, however even though asking why they changed it from being banned for botting to getting hacked with no evidence of my account being hacked I got no response. I guess what ever it takes to cover their tracks over a false banning. :l

Happy to be able to play again though I guess. Still a tad miffed over it though.

How many days has it been? And I think that’s the general progression of getting your account back not sure though, taking from other peoples experiences the last few days this seems to be true.

I was banned yesterday afternoon around 2-ish, sent a well thought out support ticked right away. I’ve gotten minimal response from support so far.

Had my account banned sometime earlier today, between when I fell asleep at 4 a.m. Pacific, and when I woke up around noon. Reason stated when attempting to login as for botting. I can still log in to the forums, but apparently can’t get in to the support site using my normal login, nor can I reset the password, so I had to use another email to submit a ticket. Incident number if 121113-000275.

Seen quite a few people in the last couple of pages who appear to have been banned in Sparkfly Fen (where my character was last logged in). Not sure if something odd occurred there, and a huge wave of people in the zone got banned or what, but it was definitely a surprise to me when I woke up.

Hopefully we can hear some official word on what happened soon for a lot of the people who were affected by this.

I spent a bit of time in sparkfly fen today before I killed the dragon then moved onto the other 2, shortly after I ended up getting banned, I hope there’s not some issue regarding that zone that flags people some how.

I was in the middle of doing a skill point when I got banned aka black screen of death, no warning. The last thing I did before that was kill two dragons. :l

Interestingly enough myself and another guildie connad.4967 were also banned for botting whilst fighting Tequatl. This seems to be a rampant issue. I suppose that’s what I get for being a good guildie and helping the lowbies level with a buddie. Unlike other bots, apparently, being clothed in full exotic and doing nothing repetitive is the new botting. Can we actually get a log check on this? We don’t respond to chat unless we need a PUG (that is what vent is for… better communication). A simple check for herd mentality on “reported players” would alleviate most of this nonsense. Are we all turning in the same direction at the same time whilst fighting the same mob? Or is Quinn mining while I am warming up chili for my son while waiting 2 minutes for Tequatl to spawn?

I got wrongly banned for botting today shortly after doing dragon fights…. I hope this isn’t a serious of bad things to come :l

I just got banned today as a supposed “botter” I’m still waiting on any kind of response on my support ticket. I’ve put a good 300-400 hours into the game, I don’t even know how to run a bot. And now I might even miss out on this “one time” event this weekend.

To the people saying the team work of Yak’s doesn’t matter, day one right after reset there were numerous large zerg attempts on the ET BL Lowlands supply camp by both ET and FA (mostly FA from what I remember). not just 5 people raids, like full on 20 – 30 people trying to take our supply camp and every time for about the 4 or 5 hours I was watching the camp, the call was made and a large group from yak’s would come to defend. Those kinds of things help us move forward from the day one evenly matched fights. Keeping supply and using it wisely is what held us in the fight and us winning isn’t just about numbers, the server has become extremely well organized. If I asked for help at a supply camp over a month ago I am certain no one would rush to defend it like can be seen now. Yak’s is growing and becoming a good force to be reckoned with.

I for one fully support donating abandoned Siege Golems to realms that are straggling behind.

The precursors have a price limit. How? Because they are obtained from a certain amount of rare/exotic weapons. If the TP price of the precursor exceeds the price of the rare/exotic weapons required to obtain one then more people will try to get one from the mystic forge, causing the price to stabilize. That is not the only factor. Right now many people want a precursor -> demand is high -> price is high. After some months the demand will decrease. So if I were you I wouldn’t worry about the current price.

The thing is though, I doubt the demand will decrease in the next few months. Simply because some people are probably thinking along the lines of “I’ll get my precursor later and farm the rest right now since that goal is more obtainable”

The more people that get closer to finishing their legendary weapons over the expanse of a couple months is going to shoot the demand even higher. I don’t see the price coming down any time in the near future. I’d say 6+ months if you want to see a decline but who knows.

I know I’d be happy with a semi-difficult recipe that makes them account bound. At least then people can set solid goals.

I just wish some of the Precursors shared their skin, I’m looking at you The Hunter. The only same skin item is the PvP Plated Sniper Rifle. Nothing else shares it. I love the skin it uses, it’s what I want to get, I do not want the legendary that goes along with it(I’m not a huge fan of how it looks). So I have to struggle to either make a constantly rising 150g or continue to throw rifles at the MF hoping I get the item I want. I’d be extremely happy if it shared it’s skin with something else considering I don’t even want to be apart of this current Legendary grind and yet just because of my weapon skin preference I’m dragged into this mess that has been going on the last couple weeks. I really dislike the current RNG to get a lot of items out of the forge and I’m not asking for a super duper easy way, but a set way so some of us can at least set goals to get what we want. This sink hole is really ruining my enjoyment of the game, my armor look which is almost finished now has some meaning to it, I had a blast with friends doing dungeons, when and if I finally get this rifle I’m just going to feel drained because I’ve been sucked dry by the MF. And I think that is how a lot of people feel about the current way the system works.
