Reaper Issues and Suggestions

I’ll try to be direct:

• Death’s Charge (death shroud #2) s should not inflict poison, it should inflict AOE blind. The poison doesn’t make any sense. If you are charging into a group of enemies, you want to AOE blind them.

• Spin2win death shroud skill #4.
This skill is the only death shroud skill that is useless for condition builds. This should, at the very least , evade for the duration.

• Greatsword skill #4 should pulse AOE blind for the duration of the skill.

Some of the traits are bad too but I forget what they are until the stream is over…

About Death’s charge, I think you’re right, it shouldn’t inflict poison. I do think Death"s charge should instead be our 1vX unique defense necromancer skill that would dodge all incoming attacks.

I totally agree with you. Even if they speak to the community every friday on twitch, they don’t talk about the real problems in this game.

My overall points are :
- Necro should have more interesting mechanics than just spamming Dagger 1 auto attack (power necro), scepter 1 stacking bleed (condition necro), minions auto attack (minion master)
- Necro should be able to bring more support to a party

Also why does it feels like when Josh talks about Necro in stream he sounds like its a burden and then all is fine again when they move to Ranger, left me with a wierd feeling in my stomach….

That was exactly how I felt yesterday after their talks about Necro. It was truly unbelievable.

Wow, but have you seen John Peter when talking about the necro traits?
It was like He had nothing to say but “ok”, “cool”, I couldn’t feel any excitement at all from him. They ask no question, and pressed the game designer to move on to talk about the exciting ranger…
That is just incredible from a Lead Design.
In that case why they don’t just delete the necromancer if they can’t bring more love/passion when designing and talking about the necromancer.

You guys are right, I didn’t have time to play a lot of pvp, but I had time to play some pve and I got the fused gauntlet. Then I decided to play some pvp, but unfortunately I got the heavy one when I needed the light one, useless for me! Why Anet didn’t use the same system than for SAB : once you get the skin in PVE, you get it in PVP! You are right, it would be normal in my own opinion to be able to get this skin in PvP if you have it in PvE.

Well of Corruption skill: Updated damage skill fact to indicate the correct number of attacks.
Well of Suffering skill:
Updated damage skill fact to indicate the correct number of attacks.
Updated the number of attacks to be consistent when affected by Focused Rituals.
Spinal Shivers skill: Updated damage facts to indicate damage dealt based on boons removed.
Signet of Spite skill: Updated the skill facts to indicate the passive effect of this skill. Increased the passive power boost by 100%.
Corrupt Boon skill: No longer causes odd interactions with Aegis. Now unblockable.
Epidemic skill: Now unblockable.
Flesh Wurm minion: Increased health by 25%.
Flesh Golem minion: Increased health by 25% and toughness by 10%.
Lich Form skill: The Grim Specter skill now strips boons from enemies and conditions from allies when it reaches its target point instead of only when the missile hits a target.

Meh.

Dear players!

The build i’m now presenting you, has been made after playing for a long time with different build that I found on this forum : Shatter, Legion, Condition, Tank, etc… So I’d like to thank their author for giving me some inspiration to create my own build : the “Bunshin Powa” build.
This build is mainly based on retaliation. The aim of this build is firstly to deal damage using retaliation. For this reason i’d like to remember you the retaliation formula in GW2 :
Retaliation damages = 198.45 + (0.075 * Power)

This clearly shows that retaliation damages only depend on the power level of the mesmer.
But dealing damage using retaliation means to be able to absorbing enough damages. So when I was working on the Bunshin Powa build I had to think how I could mitigate damage enough without being a fully passive bunker (which is for me not interesting but if you are interesting in this kind of build, you could find them on this forum). From my game experience, I thought I would need at least 2800 power 2800 armor and 20K health, and that was my objective when making the Bunshin Powa Build.

Secondly, the aim of this build is to deal damage using your own weapon ! This is a second reason to focus on “power”!

How the build works? Easy, it’s based on cry of frustration that grant retaliation if you have chosen the confusing cry trait. The Bunshin Powa build will not give you a perma retaliation, but you will get enough retaliation to surprise your ennemy… ;-)

The Bunshin Powa build use a a sword and a great sword because it’s mainly a power build, and you have enough defense capability to avoid the staff which I consider a great weapon, but not in the Bunshin Powa build! This build also use a torch, because being stealthed helps to confuse your ennemy during a fight and it’s also a good escape mechanism. I will not talk about a rotation, because I think that all fights are different.

The skills I choosed will help you to mitigate damages with the iDefender, and will allow you to deal with condition with the phantasmal disenchanter. Also thank to “vengeful images” all of your phantasm will get retaliation! The signet will help your phantasm to take more damages. What does that mean?! It means they will deal more damage! Don’t forget your phantasm also have retaliation!

This build is flexible, but there are some essential trait to get :

20 DUELING : Blade Training – Deceptive Evasion
10 CHAOS : Illusionary Defense
10 INSPIRATION : Persisting Images
10 ILLUSION : Confusing Cry

These trait, the weapons, the amulet and the skills are the core of the build!
However you may wanna try some variation of the Bunshin Powa build using different runes and puting 20 traits points whereever you want!
