I’m srsly annoyed by this. I guess I’ll be opening a ticket tomorrow asking for all my mats I invested back (eventhough I know that the chances of that happening are like 0).
I just cant believe I started the very costly & time intensive collections just to figure out that I have to wait @ Tier 3 for bugfixes.
At least I’m not totally stupid, so I checked out on Wiki what the legendary Astralia will be requiring and I can start working on those parts already now while waiting for stupid Anet to fix their bugs.
The REALLY annoying thing is, that Anet’s Devs won’t even bother on giving an update “we’re working on it” or anything. As far as we know, they don’t even know that something’s wrong.
I srsly cannot believe that nobody from Anet feels the need to inform us. Had elite Specs been disabled in PvE, they’d be all on to it. Right now as a WvW player I feel very disapointed at the least.
So does this mean we should roll new WvW characters, rank up, delete, repeat? Since you gain WvW levels faster in the beginning, isn’t it more efficient to make smurf accounts, transfer over the proofs and then start over?
The proofs and notary are soulbound, not account bound. You are going to have to level on the character you want to get the points for.
Sell, you can rank up, not open chest, Switch Charakter and open then…
From my experience, it can take around 150 WvW levels to get the entire elite specialization. Bonus chests are only given at the start of every matchup, and its only 3 or 4 rounds of extra chests. And about the ratio of proofs, each chest can give from 2 to 4 proofs, but most of the times you’ll get 2.
Finally someone almost gets it^^
400 HP required for full elite spec & 1 HP requires 1 proof.
Best case scenario: every chest drops 4 poofs, it’ll take 100 WvW ranks.
Worst case scenario: every chest drops 2 poofs, so it’ll take 200 WvW ranks.
On long term you’ll average at 3, so 134 WvW ranks is what it’s gonna take in average.
I’d like to know how the exploit works – did ppl save all of their liquid WvW points?
Also -and this more important- when can we expect it to be fixed? Hours? Days? Weeks?

Y call it a fix?! As soon as ur 20 damage is added to the traps, no thief will Play with traps anymore and then ur “fix” is an build killer leaving us with D/P once more…
Or just wait for HoT, since it’ll be a gamechanger.
(The build I threw together likely also won’t work very well if Bound remains a blast finisher.)
Yeah, this was my main disappointment with DareDevil. Bound does not work, as you have to leap into the BP for the blast to go off and actually get you stealth. That, and the animation is clunky as hell.
I’ve said it in other threads and I’ll say it here again… the Bound Dodge did NOT WORK AS A BLAST FINISHER! How come nobody saw it? It never gave Group Invisibility when used in a smoke field, it never gave might when used in a fire field, etc.
The next changes, remove the acrobatics line and replace it with a line titled “assassin arts”
This line will focus on shadow steps and blocking, which will allow thieves a bit more chance of survival without relying on stealth and dodging. The reason this line is going to be so different is that when you dodge you are not dealing damage. When you are in stealth you are not dealing damage. This line is going to promote active play to get the benefits. A few traits will require you to be attacking. 33%? thats like perma swiftness… 15% is ok imo.
Major Grandmasters
Flashing blades – whenever you block an attack, your attacker takes damage.
Yeah, we’ve got so many blocks. Even with your 25% blockchance while attaing this trait is crap.
Periodically block attacks (this is similar to one of the old traits anet made with “periodically evade attacks”)
Also crap, we Need controlled blocking of attacks and not random blocks.
Deadly paradox – You attack 33% faster. Your thief utilities activate and recharge 33% faster.
This is your instant winning button?! Check out Revenant’s legend Shiro increased attack Speed and at which costs it Comes. And you wanna give an additional reduced cooldown of utilities? Lol… Rather go for 33% increased attack Speed + 33% increased cooldown of utilites, heal & elite.
Just a couple things to wish for with Daredevil:
- Please revert bound dodge back to leap finisher! It is much more useful as a leap finisher for those of us using x/p or even staff. It’s a great way to apply stealth and without it x/p is back to only being able to stealth when swapping to short bow..

Dude, u r joking, right? Just give thiefs an Instant Kill skill, that’ll be less work for Anet…
I’ve played thief since the very first day of GW2, I’m almost at 4k hours with that class. Since balancing has worked out so kittening awesome (god, Anet, why can’t u simply balance thief? Jesus, so disapointed…), I’m definitly gonna switch to rev.
I’ve already crafted a first set of ascended armor and all of the ascended weapons.
Am I the only one to think that deemands like these seem stupid, when one hasn’t even seen the revenant in it’s current, reworked state of balance?
Since my thief has become more or less useless after playing it since release (thx Anet for great thief balancing), I’ve decided to check out rev as a possible new main. Eventhough I’d have more then enough tombes to lvl instantly, I wouldn’t want to miss out on lvling form 1 to 80 and geht to know rev from the very beginning.
As far as I’m concerned, Anet has simply kitten nerved my thief into nirvana. Unless they change (buff) something, I’m switching from my 3.5k + hours played thief with full legendary Equipment to elementalist…

Yes, P/D is very strong. But ur enemies aren’t playing very good imo. No AA spam while u go in stealth, no use of any kind of cc, as you can see in the end, when the Mesmer even tries to rezz the downed Guardian instead of using no 5 on greatsword.

Right now the AM necro blob is going through GH borderlands. Why you are trying to defend these cheap kitten tactics is beyond me.
Gandara would be ahead of you if your server was not cheating big time. I kinda feel sorry for the few good and well known guilds on AM, their name is tainted even though they did not cheat.
I still don’t see, why you dont gather your zerg and wipe AM, esp if they are onl one huge bob of kitten necros? Seems to me like a kitten load of free loot bags?

Cant wait for the mimimi of Gandara today… btw there was as good as no defense in all of the keeps AM took yesterday AND your zergs fights were pittyfull. It doesn’t matter, rams or necros, in both cases Gandara loses. FYI we just took GH’s first WP with nobody there defending it.
Also, our Commander quoted repetedly in TS the mod saying he does not recommend using the signet.
