Don’t bother. PvP is only good for the reward tracks, the pip rewards from the ranked seasons, and dailies. Nothing more.

i bought basic HoT and never used rev and now with PoF i went all out got the gems too ankitten ow maining rev cause its fun, so i think its good they are including rev in PoF, not everyone wants to play through HoT to get a Rev lol

As someone who has gotten used to, but doesn’t like, HoT, I can at least say that help isn’t usually too far away. Ask in map chat, shine up that Mentor apple, and usually someone will need that same hero challenge.

Case in point, Verdant Brink and the OP Frog/Wasp battle. Because why wouldn’t there be an overpowered champion for a solo event? I apple’d up and just started the fight, and while I was struggling, I got the fight about half done before flurries of people dropped from the sky to help. I won, they won, and we all went our separate ways.

ya i got the commander tag just for that and i was just using it for hp but with the help of some i actually run meta’s in HoT maps lol

also SW is hard i had a tag going and we almost had the events done then things fell apart when people began to argue the new elites

I’d offer my help. But I am instead in the arduous process of building the precursor. And boy I tell you what… this time gating kitten? IT’S kittenING ANNOYING.

What’s worse is… for some god aweful reason, Orichalcum and Mithiril is far more common than Iron and platnum. Which you need a massive quantity of. And unfortunately, due to how GW2’s loot system works you can’t just go to a low level area with a level 80 and grind it out. You’ll more than likely get loot closer to your level.

Don’t give up on it man. I’m heading for it too. But I SINCERELY SUGGEST that you buy the watchwork mechanism before the price gets jacked. There’s only three ways to get the stupid material that makes it. And they don’t yield high drops either. This is basically a money sink that is as large as the Mystic Coins and Runes.

sooo i hopped on the rev bandwagon super late and was wondering if people still do HoT events so that i could hop on that train and finish my mist armor

Ppl use fake cards it takes up to 72 hours for the charge to go through and be real without the risk of losing anything.

The expansion they can lock while gems are currency type product hence the 72 hours lol

What a good fun power build for pve. I have no preference to weapons as I like the skills rev has it’s fun to play. I main thief so placement and moving around are my best styles

So I’m noticing that elites are giving a wide range of weapons for classes and that’s nice and all but it would be interesting if they implemented this in armor.

For example make thief a shadow assassin with light armor, or rev a mist walker with medium armor. Necro a warlord with heavy armor etc.

It would allow a wide range of builds and play styles for a large group of people.

4 on dagger, danceing dagger was affected visually it shows you how many you have left

I am super excited I went from 15 map completion to 30 in like 2 hours just powerhousing sword

wow i went white pink colors for human cultural armor on female for my necro, it looks kind of cheery and happy…until death shroud lol.

i have a character in all races and sylvari glow so its cool, asura jump funny, and char run on all kitten its personal preference i guess.

Throw salt on me if you want but I feel like scourge will be kinda like the druid spec with a little more cc thrown in. Like it’s support but can be worth to run dps with a little utility.

So I basically main druid and thief secondary and I dabble with necro and ele and those have gotten a bit boring. I can’t seem to live long enough to swap weapons on a mesmer I die soo much that I’m thankful for the infinite repair canister lol.

Reason why I want to main mesmer is because it’s hard for me to get used to and it’s challenging so I was wondering if anyone has any beginner tips to survival on a mesmer

As I’ve said before, many times, if people have trouble with HOT maps and they need a tutorial or some help getting around, they can message me in game. I’d be happy to help them, assuming they’re on a US server.

HOT comes not after core. It comes after Living Story Season 2 which is much much harder, story wise, than the core game. Living Story Season 2 ramped up the difficulty. However, due to it being a separate purchase, and not even required, (lots of people skip story), not everyone does that content. So they go from doing math grade 1 to math grade 3 and wonder why it’s so hard.

It’s hard because you’ve skipped part of the game.

Play dungeons and fractals before you go into the jungle, that will get your eye in more toward dodging, moving while casting and using terrain to fight. Line of sighting and pulling are important skills to have in HoT. It’s doable…if you know how to do it.

im actually starting living story 2 now since I jumped into HOT map lol and its actually fun to play

Can’t disagree more, as I suspect many others will. As the game progresses and player skill increases the challenges need to keep up. Core Tyria difficulty is a joke.

The main issue is that new and returning players are jumping right into the HoT maps without being truly familiar with their characters and in some cases not being geared correctly. Metabattle and other build sites are focused on raids, fractals, PvP and WvW not PvE mapping and events. People to adjust their builds to what works for them for the content they are doing.

I started to play about 4 months ago, did all of core, HoT and LW maps and the places i like the most are in the HoT maps. The core maps taught me the mechanics of the game, HoT and LW taught me how to deal with it.

I played Path of Exiles between GW and GW2 and if what you’re looking for is facerolling K-board mashing while watching TV action, the i suggest you try PoE. GW2 is a lot more about KNOWING how to play then OWNING everything you come across.

exactly lol I play the game more like chess now, watching for attack circles to dodge and stuff. its funny to watch new players get hit by something that they could have avoided just by moving left or right

that was me when I played thief now im a ranger lol still hard to play but hey pet tanks and I run

I die everywhere, I cant take 2 steps without something trying to kill me holy crap this map is the best thing ever.

its hard to solo but once you get used to it the game is rewarding, after spending a lot of time in the jungle I noticed that I have higher survivability in the normal map than I did before learning to properly dodge lol

I have a cleric staff for druid and longbow zerker stats for my druid, I just nee 2 pieces of ascended armor and I was wondering where should I keep my skills at and which pets should I use?

im fairly new to raids and I cant seem to get a group

I have full zerker medium ascended armor and I have 2 comfortable classes

ranger and thief

which is better for raids I know thieves are squishy but they offer utility but then druids are fun cause heals op

I run long bow and sword/x but I’m full zerker build and I find it to be useful for speed runs because of the high dps and sword main hand is good for a quick dodge re-engage when needed. It saved me lots of times

so if I save all my teq chests till I have around 100 and I open them all at once does this improve my chances of getting ascended chest or no?
