if you’re planning on sPvPing, don’t worry about point allocation as you can freely move about trait points within the Heart of the Mists.
for solo, I’d prioritize Dom and Dueling then Illusions
while not the best option, if all you’re doing is map clearing, you could use the speed boost in gem store, eat salads, and kill the white-named foes (one hit kills) for speed boosts while carrying SoI and a focus.
It is frustrating to move as slowly as we do outside of combat, but we’ve got a lot going for the class so I suppose I can see why Anet thinks that tortoise-like moving mesmers are fine.
I just wish that Anet would give all us mesmers a free mini-pet to keep us company while everyone else takes off far ahead.
The cooldown on Shatters is a “GCD”. Each Shatter is an ability,
An attunement is not an ability. An attunement swaps access to 5 abilities.
Hence, it’s a terrible comparison. The “GCD” stops shatters from being used. The attunement cooldown mirrors weapon swaps.
I agree with you almost completely. Eles do have a trait that creates an “ability” upon attunement. Spikes when attuning to earth, speed upon air, etc.
BUT
Eles cannot weapon swap so they can’t really benefit from those weapon swap sigils like other professions. So perhaps that’s why the attunement CDs mirror weapon swap CDs.
I’m a smexy mesmer, so I like to target something in the water while standing a ledge and using mirror images and phase retreat. Then touch myselves.
I read this as wanting a Hot Costume Collector and wondered what sort of NPC the OP had in mind.
I run a build that makes use of those traits. What I find best is usually the leaping duelist and while still equipped to sword, the mirror images. You now have three clones that are actually at target.
-Illusionary Leap: Fixed an exploit that allowed mesmers to have a chance to catch up to other players. This skill has been renamed Illusionary walk and no longer causes cripple. Walk delay at 2s.
-Mirror Blade: All bounces are now properly affected by line of sight.
-fixed an exploit that allowed illusion “deaths” to be triggered upon override and death of target. This skill now properly reflects death as resulting from damage inflicted deaths only.
-fixed a bug that improperly gave a player’s name to each clone. Henceforth, all illusions shall be designated “Illusion 1,” “Illusion 2,” or “Illusion 3,” depending on cast order.
- Upon casting any illusion, a large, blinking yellow down-pointed arrow shall appear over player’s head.
- Feedback: This skill now properly reflects its name. Upon casting, a large annoying noise shall build through crescendo.
My 80 Elementalist, Daenerhys Sedai. Her current look is still in the making, but I’m content for the moment (because I can’t afford the stuff I want just yet ><)
My inspiration is Tifa from FF 7
Tifa? I think you mean Rinoa from FF8 ^_~
If it’s like GW1, it may last maybe a day. I remember creating a name I liked in GW1 for a PvP character.. later, deleted it for slot space and made a different character. Came back maybe a day or two later to use the same name, and it was gone.
I thought this was a troll post…
I have EotN. I played GW1 pretty extensively. I went through the earlier storylines (Prophecies (before it came to be called Prophecies), Factions, and Nightfall). I played a little EotN but not too much. However, I did go to the Hall of Monuments.
I apologize. I forgot to mention that I have linked the accounts.
According to the Hall of Monuments Reward Calculator, I am eligible to receive the Heritage Armor set. I have gone to Lion’s Arch, I have spoken with Scornheart, and I have used the portal stone.
When I enter the Eye of the North, I run up to Kimmes the Historian and engage him in some friendly banter. However, despite his pleasantries and his kind remarks regarding my potential, he makes no mention of a heritage armor set.
According to some people, one has to log into Guild Wars 1 and then log back into Guild Wars 2 to get the set… I would like to avoid doing that as I haven’t played GW1 in years and it is no longer on my computer.
Please help!
Thanks,
Daenerhys Sedai
