Hi im trying to log in, and i get this error everything i cant log in, but i can in the website can someone help me? i uploaded a picture so you can see.
Players play for different reasons. Some like to upgrade their characters, some like to collect achievements…
Living story really screws over that one camp of players if you’re new. Questionable since the game is largely about achievements and they’ve just added an achievement reward system.
As Colin mentions in this post and this post, based upon community feedback, we are adjusting our strategy to include a larger mix of permanent updates in the future.
The temporary content idea is awful. I’m sorry but you need to hear it.
I was with a pretty solid group earlier, but we kept failing at FTL. Once two or more people get hit we have to start over, and well, eventually the group just falls apart.
The argument isn’t about the content being hard. It’s about the limited time sillyness that Anet is sold on that is birthing all these complaints. Honestly, the whole mess is stupid.
It’s bugged on my server too. There are no Tears anywhere except one.
Did you know if you’re holding a Tear and you teleport out of the mini-dungeon, the Tear travels with you? Great way to grief players trying to get Anet’s time sensitive achievements that they don’t test.
These developers seem to think that creating a product, applying a price tag on it and selling that product on their online store isn’t a good business model. Spending money for the unknown chance to obtain the product makes more sense.
It’s no surprise. Nexon sent in people to Anet to design their cash shop. If you’ve ever played a Nexon game, it’s entire chance based with nearly everything being time-limited.
In a way it’s sort of a relief: I’ve been keeping up and buying each cash shop mini as they’ve come out trying not to miss one. But if I’ve missed one, I’ve missed them all! So buying more after this point feels like a waste.
In the end, I’d suggest OP and others to do as I did and abandon the wallet-bleeding upkeep of being a mini collector.
This is my first time posting on these forums. There are many like myself that play this game on a daily basis and understand the choices Anet is making for the SAB.
Whether you keep this addition in the game for a month or for a year, there will always be people on these forums spewing their distaste and personal reasons why they do not want you to take it or the items it generates out.
The idea of prestige items is very real indeed. If these weapons were kept in the game on a permanent basis then it would lose value and feel no different than any other easy to obtain weapon in the game.
The simple fact is that the majority of players do not visit or care to even comment on these issues on the official forums because frankly they are not unhappy or either content with these decisions.
For instance I came to this thread through a Reddit link talking about this conversation and honestly everyone that is commenting seems to think this is a positive solution.
Long story short; This thread doesn’t speak for the majority because the majority are happy with this decision as well as the game as a whole.
It’s a design aesthetic. A lot people want prestige items which means limiting them. You can limit items by making the amount of time/resources required to get them very large, or you can limit them having them in for a limited time only. We could make every item easy to attain and permanently available, but then we lose the prestige factor. If you don’t value the prestige factor, then no arguments are going to make you understand. It would be like arguing someone into liking heavy metal or kimchi. Personally, I don’t particularly value the prestige factor, but I understand that it is a HUGE motivating force that drives the engine of the economy.
Man after reading this I am so glad I no longer play this game.
Crystin Cox was sent to ArenaNet from Nexon to design GW2’s Cash Shop. Since then it was always going to be an RNG money grab. It mirror’s MapleStory’s cash shop.
If any of you have ever played a Nexon game, you’ll be very familiar with this type of Cash Shop gambling practice.
A few months before GW2 was released, Anet brought someone in from Nexon’s Maple Story to help them design their Cash Shop. It was after that point that we saw the new Dye system changes, etc.
This is GW2’s Cash Shop philosophy unfortunately. I know alot of you are unhappy with this and I understand (we like the game and care about our characters/accounts), but if you don’t want to get reamed like this then just take your free devil horns and leave the gambling to the kiddies.
A couple of my friends got perma banned for NO reason what so ever. Similar stories as the ones posted above. Has this company ever heard of “Authenticators”? All the big named companies are using them, this is something that should have been implimented on launch. No reason all these accounts should be getting hacked like this and to boot there is NO phone support which makes things 1000 times worse. Who the hell wants to wait for an email based response?
Has anyone heard anything about mobile phone authenticators though?
I got an authenticator for WoW I haven’t been hacked since. I know there are ways around them but I say it’s much more security.
IMO authenticators should have been included to purchasers of the CE…
Maybe you had a program running in the background that gave the game’s hack detection a false positive? Does this game even have hack detection? Maybe you bought a karma item that had an incorrect price on it? I heard people are getting banned over that too..
There is no guarantee that even if you talk to support that you’ll get your account back, from what I’ve heard of others who were banned for unjust reasons.
My best advice is to make a big fuss about the unjust ban. Anet seems acutely aware of their press, especially on social media sites. They may ignore your twitter questions if you have less than 4k followers, but if you give them some bad press, maybe they will take the time to help you.
