I for one just want to ride out what is left of the game, playing with the friends I have made on this server over the last two years. its been a long strange trip and there is no reason for any of you to remain in the diaspora.

Just to set the record straight here, SIC was running 7 people for most of last night. We got up to a whopping group of 10 by 6:15 server time. If you think we had numbers on your group Vis, you are delusional or didn’t graduate kindergarten. I suppose I will take that as a sign of respect since you thought we were enough of a threat to keep a scout on us for our entire raid and show up with a CORE + pug blob whenever we lingered anywhere longer than 30 seconds. We would have probably survived that pinch you pulled out with ATK to help you out if it wouldn’t have been for our nerf friends trolling us with glue bombs and supply crates as we tried to make our way north out of the ruins. Either way good fights, we had fun trying to take on superior numbers, as always.

LOL, I never said anything besides my engie friend beat Chaba in a one on one at full health. I was running us around on Necro instead of guard and then later on our normal driver came on. Never said they were equal of fair fights. I just will always gun for SIC, Alaric said in the first two days on IOJ that we were a garbage guild when he never ran with us or knew what we did. I like a lot of the people in SIC and think they are good players, but if I see SIC on the map you better believe I’m going to drive our full force into them. Alaric will QQ about only having 17 actives and not being able to rally more, but that’s how he decided to fight in wvw. He posts videos of him steamrolling bigger groups, but what he forgets to mention is that they are pug zergs. As soon as a skilled guild group comes up against him with the same numbers he FRAPS for his wubwubwubwubwub pug wipes, he starts crying about not having enough numbers and us having no skill for having #‘s on him. It’s an impossible fight to win with him because he’ll either pick one argument or the other depending on what benefits him at the time. I respect the guy and think he’s a great driver, but he fired shots at us the first time they were fighting along side us. I don’t forget, so I’m ecstatic every time I see the [SIC] tag in red. But yeah, good fights. Let’s see you guys come out again, if you wanna do some even number fights lets set up something for thursday night.

Doesn’t get through to them vis. They wiped mend once and continued to use that as a reference point even though we’ve wiped them 20+ times now. SIC should be used to people disliking Alaric and in general SIC as he’s their leader. They stand 0 chance against any organized groups only pugs.

Good to hear, and again for posterity’s sake, I was the one driving last night. Feel free to gun for us, fights against guilded groups with numbers on us are actually what we look for. Not quite sure where you got the impression that we only hunt pug zergs. I suppose if less commanders ran around tagged up then their guilded groups would look less pug like, eh?

Also, FA has plenty of great havoc teams, I think we all know that as most of us commenting here ran havoc on FA for months. Nothing but repsect to WS, BURN and TUNE, you guys are good people.

Thanks for clearing that up. We had loads of fun last night, we were all in coms and calling all our CDs, so that is probably why you felt like you got smashed by the guard. If we hear a ring lands, we stop everything and dump damage there.

Just ran into an impressively talented skirmish group of your players outside of BP Veloka. While under heavy siege fire, with lots of enemy DPS coming in you guys lasted for a long time. It took a significantly larger group of BP showing up to finally finish the job.

Oh and I don’t think I saw any flavor of the month builds in that fight. It was solid builds and heaps of skill. I will be replaying my recording of that fight to see how I can improve.

I have fought a lot of skirmish teams and that one was likely one of the toughest teams around. Kudos… if I was on IoJ I would certainly apply.

You have now started a war on our forums as to which roaming group you are referring to, any other clues as to the other classes from sic that were there? Perhaps we could take a peek at the video. We need confirmation as to whos egos are allowed to grow, and who’s has to shrivel.

Here is a little look at what we do, we generally don’t run with over 15. Most of the time we run with between 5-10 members. Our purpose is zerg hunting. Our skirmish crew tends to come out late night. Last night we were running with a necro and ele to coordinate th bomb on those cc fields when they were out, we had two warriors and the guard, it seemed to be a fairly solid comp. Glad you guys enjoyed it, we had a lot of fun last night too!

1. We took Briar and built a treb to kill the arrow carts on the gate.
2. We built 2 rams to kill the gate.
3. A bazillion arrow carts were behind the gate and killed the rams.
4. We ranged the gates down with our ossum staves.
5. Gate goes down and we are greeted to so many red circle on the ground, I thought the Bay contracted an aggressive form of the herpres simplex virus.
6. We get through the herpes after applying some Valtrex (which was a push through the gate).
7. We built 5 trebs in the vale to hit the inner. I can only imagine a lot of TC pugs were using this as a good opportunity to get WXP by repairing the gates/walls.
8. After a long bore fest of this. The walls and gates were finally down. We then put two trebs on the south outer gate of Bay to treb down siege on the walls.
9. We built another treb over looking the dock to kill more siege on the inner.
10. We made a push to the south inner gate and found out that Valtrex does not work because there was an outbreak of an even more nasty herpes strain.
11. We slowly built our own counter arrow carts and proceeded at a snails pace to take down what we could.
12. After taking down all the siege that we could while pushing with our own arrow carts, we pushed in and took the bay.

And you preferred something like..
1. Build Golems.
2. Take Bay.
… do you?

What you described sounds like what a siege should be, to be honest.

What we would like is to have keep takes actually result in some form of pvp. Not 1-2 people sitting on arrowcarts as we slowly move through a keep, while the purpose of the other 20 people is simply to deter a push. Before this AC buff, there was actually a motivation to push out of a keep/tower to try and wipe a group because the rams was generally going to get the gates down faster than <3 arrowcarts could take the ram down. This meant that you might actually have to push out of the tower to wipe the attacking group if you wanted to keep your tower. Now 2 people with AC’s can take down up to three rams before the gate gets to 20%.

Just want to vent via qq, like everyone here. I logged on, hopped on havoc duty on my d/d ele. Usually we roam with 3 thiefs and 2 d/d eles. Never had a problem keeping up with the thieves in the past, and I wanted to see how bad it would be. After 15 minutes, of constantly falling behind and being an overall hindrence, I got off havoc duty and rejoined the main guild group, holding my head in shame and lamenting being relegated back into 30 v whatever fights. I shouldn’t be forced to roll a thief to roam. The early days of getting insta gibbed by backstab/heartseeker spam built up too much hate in my heart. Come on ANET, give some love back the eles direction. I mean even if we could get away from anyone its not like we could drop 13k damage in 3 seconds after coming out of stealth, and still run away.. cough

Great fights tonight on FABL. Thanks to everyone who came out, Agg, Tsi and Dis. I gotta ask though, what was up with the fast building on the Omega Golem inside the SE tower TC? You let us get the gate down, then let us take then high ground, then built an omega while we took down the lord. I think it is safe to say, we were all very confused. Particularly after we downed the golem just outside the gate. Anyhow, thanks for the fun times, keep that kind of thing up and I will rush home early from work everyday to make sure I can make our campaign time.

No, depends on what FA guild you are facing. There are FA guilds that wipe ANY TC guilds 80-90% of the time, and there are also FA guilds that are 50/50 to TC guilds.

There are no guilds that are even 50/50 with [PiNK] that reside on FA. What guild are you in because I’m very interested where your delusions of grandeur come from. Please provide a little more than forum warrior speculation.

I agree Sunspots, Tear was trying to be diplomatic. PiNK has improved though over the last couple of months. Just don’t give up yet and you guys can get there.

Thanks for the praise. It really tore me up inside when your old guild cracked under the pressure of t2 and fled to tier 8 to escape it. You guys came back strong though and are now capable of some pretty even matched fights with TC militia.

As I said earlier, TC seems very angry today. You all should be enjoying this fun match up. I think this video is a fair representation of PiNK and TC’s prowess. Feel free to leave some pointers so we can continue to learn from you.

Just want to say all trolling aside, that was a truly awesome 30-40 minutes in WvW. Constantly manuevering for positioning, fights breaking out, then a third server would jump in, everyone running around trying to not be caught in the middle, then huge 3 way fights until only one group is left standing. Fortunately we were by the spawns so it could all continue over and over again. Some great fun and what WvW is all about for me. You can keep your towers, keeps, treb wars, I’ll take a guild battle at ruins everyday. Thanks for coming out Rise, CO, and PiNK. Fun times had by all I imagine. IF your TS was anything at all like ours was, there were a ton of virtual grins being shared around.

Great fights all around this weekend. Had some great fun at ruins fighting DB and TC on Saturday night at around midnight server. Keep that kind of fun up and I will be here all week. Can’t wait for the ele nerf so hour long treb wars finally fades into the ether, where it belongs.

If you are not afraid of them in the open field, you have not seen anything yet. Tower farms are fine and dandy, but open field fights is where VK rocks the party that rocks the party.

Everyone talking about 2v1, of course it will always look like that. TC and FA hate each other, we generally target each other given the option. So whoever KN decides to focus at any given moment is going to feel the 2v1 pain. Simple as that. No need to complain about it, unless some magical rainbow unicorn virus starts to infect the members of FA and TC and they start holding hands while attacking KN, that is just the way its going to be.

Just want to give a shout out to my old guildies now occupying SoS. [PTX] saw you guys out there battling against the odds. Good to see some of you still out there and kicking in WvW.

Not to be overly dramatic, or a wet blanket, but Ive been on FA before the free transfers ended, and granted, with the new guilds there the climate may have changed. However, I can remember none tooo fun experiences in FA including but not limited to disorganization, selfish self serving people who absolutely refuse to work with each other, asinine orders from commanders who run from battle leaving their group in a split second as soon as a zerg approaches instead of standing their ground and instructing their commandos, etc etc. I wish I could say that these things experiences were few and far between but they were not. Like I said before, the server transfers have changed the dynamic of the game considerably but the thought of this huge psa advocating transfering TO fa leaves my left eye twitching.

I’m sorry that you felt that way during your stay on FA. We as a server have grown leaps and bounds over the last couple of months. I would say we were pruified in teh fires of T3, after losing for weeks and weeks on end. We learned not only how to have fun together no matter what, but also how to work together more and more as a server. If, as your signature says, you are still looking for a server out for the servers good, then you may want to give FA another try, particularly if you play during the SEA/EU time slot.

It is impossible for any 1or2 guilds to carry a server. We need all of our guilds working together in order to be effective. I think that everyone on FA believes this, which is why we have the community we currently have. All of our guilds have their own strengths and weaknesses, and it through our agglomerate strength that we hope to succeed in our bid to T2.

In these tiers, there is no night shift. Just this morning I logged on to see what the situation is, if you are looking for people to fight in the SEA/EU time slot, look no further than FA. Our opponents are fielding multiple guild groups on multiple maps during this time slot. Come on over to FA and farm badges to your hearts content.

We are getting ready for our first foray back into T2 in three weeks. Come join us this week and temper your steal in the blood of our opponents. You will need it when we face the hordes of Kaenig and BG.

The bottom line is simple. People will leave this game if
1) Culling is not fixed
2) Ques are not fixed
3) There is no parity in regards to gear/rewards/income with pve

The third point is by far the lease important to me. The first two simply allow me to play your game. There are other games on the horizon. GW2 was sold to me on the premise that this was THE pvp mmo. Particularly, no gear treadmill, massive battles, complex group interplay, multiple objectives on a pvp map which require multiple group coordination. If they can make those things happen, I will still be here, if not….well whatever.

Also, the thing about the ques is so annoying, there were hundreds of posts just asking for confirmation about this when it was happening, and no one from Anet said anything. It was incumbent upon the players to go out and count the number of people in the map themselves, really shows you how much Anet cares about this portion of their game. If I wanted a care-bear fest wow clone, I would be playing wow.

*a community website with a huge percentage of the FA community coordinates, share builds, strategies and generally gets to know each other.

• a community TS, which is free, open to all of FA, has dedicated guild channels, and admin privileges for guild leaders and commanders.

As has been said by everyone else, we are a community minded server, looking for a few more guilds to help plug our coverage gap. We aren’t looking for a guild to carry our server, just some more people to hang out with, and help us keep map control while the rest of us snooze, or head to work!
