(Incidentally, I think they did the exact same thing with Nevermore and the owl event – there was an event that initially had to fail, and then they fixed it without updating the in-game descriptor. I realized this by accident.)

I’m attempting to complete Astralaria, and mostly I like the journey – the thing I hate is the inclusion of events that have to fail. Tier 4 collection requires Arah be lost so you can do the event chain to retake it. Problem? Now Arah defense is a farming spot. Last several times I’ve looked there’s a tag farming it for hours.

Anet really should know better than to pull this again. Yes, AGAIN. They did this with the scavenger hunt for traits and it backfired so badly they had to redo a lot of the methods to acquire them. But so far, no fix for precursors. I just have to hope I luck into a non-farming map, which …. is pure luck, what with megaservers dumping everyone into the same map.

Dear Anet: LUCK IS NOT AN ACHIEVEMENT.

I went through a whole jerk around with support, after putting in a ticket. They informed me (after, mind you, telling me all kinds of kitten like ‘repair your game’) that I just have to keep killing them as it is a ‘random drop and may take 350+’.

A bunch of bull, in my opinion. No other ‘kill mob to get drop’ works this way. I crafted Nevermore without a single ‘oh no, you have to farm a super specific area for hours’.

Congrats Anet on your ‘non-farming’ game.

[eta] Incidentally, the way the email is phrased suggests to me that the person emailing me knows absolutely nothing about what he’s talking about, since he says ‘it appears others get it in three kills, and others 350+’. Which means he’s GOOGLING THE ANSWER.

Is this still a problem? I’ve killed around 50, right around the fragment, and no luck.

I got the Box of Recipes and opened it up on my huntsman by accident (STUPID kittenING DESCRIPTOR). Is there any way to get this again and put it on my weaponsmith? Because I will be kittenED if I have to level weaponsmith to 450 again because Anet can’t kittening write correctly.

Herd the pygmy moas for Nevermore (pt.4) STILL BUGS. What the hell, people? Who decided to pick events that are regularly BUGGED for a LEGENDARY? Particularly one where the trigger for it to bug is PEOPLE?

Fix your kittening mistakes. You charge 50$ for the expansion and we get this?

Also experiencing this problem, and no it’s not a FREE game, I paid full price for the initial title and expansion. Gotta agree with whoever said patching and then going home for the night is a dumb idea.

I’m having a problem where I intermittently lose control of my camera, when I’m using my left mouse button to control it. At first I thought it was my mouse failing on me, but someone else told me he was having the same problem since HoT.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Both the Grove and Silverwastes cause this error. I can’t get to any toons in either of those maps.

I should add that I did all kinds of things trying to fix it on my end, to no avail. (Command prompts to reset ipconfig and all of that junk.)

Me, too. Hubby has the same problem.

Whatever I’m wearing (this is across items, as I’m leveling) will randomly change to Ebony, the first starter dye. Usually not all the pieces, but only some of them (chest, pants, boots, gloves in random combination). I have no idea why, but when I log onto the character it’s changed. This has happened 6-7 times.

Anyone else familiar with this problem?

Congratulations on the weirdest bug I’ve ever heard of, and my sympathies.

Warmaster disappears, and the path becomes impossible to complete because the boss hits everyone with rocks and the party dies. Tried to do it without, or with cc, 10 times.

I want a kittening way to get back all that kitten time lost.

I feel you should have been given the option to agree with Taimi that the invention is hers – EVEN IF in the end you still have to give it to Jerk Asura.

For example, during the conversation, you agree with Taimi, at which point you have a discussion with Jerk Asura that he should go to the meeting, or you’ll give him a wedgie. Jerk Asura can then say, “What are you going to do, kill me? You can’t force me to go.” At which point Taimi realizes there’s no other choice, and gives in.

Story still goes as story needs to go. You, the player, feel like less of a jerk. :p

To those saying, ‘It will get better once people split up’ … My megaserver was zerging. You know how many people were in it? Thirty. Across six bosses, that’s five players per boss. Do you REALLY think that’s how its meant to work? How the hell do I get into a megaserver with more people than that? Relog constantly?

Megaservers don’t fill unless you force it. Once you hit around fifty people (I don’t know the exact number, but from prior experience, this appears to be the case), a new one is created. That makes filling the map impossible unless you have a guild filling it and taxi-ing everyone else in. This event is completely designed for a full map, but with a random group of strangers, you will never get one.

So in one move, Anet redid the Jubilee to: a, make it near impossible to get the ‘top tier’ of loot, and b, make loot almost non-existent regardless. I expected a nerf. I didn’t expect the event to be made worthless, both from a gameplay perspective (it takes forever to kill a boss with so few people – that’s grinding, not fun) and from a reward perspective (no loot, no xp from mobs).

Is it true that in order to get the attunement achievement you must not go down?

[eta] I’d also like to add that the attunement achievement SUCKS for rangers, because passive only works about 3/4 of the time. I have to spam ‘come to me’ throughout battles. That’s no fun.

Same. I got back in, but the event is gone. I’m guessing there’s major server instabilities, I hear a lot of complaining about Edge of the Mists dc-ing people as well.

By the way, as far as I can tell from mapchat, absolutely everyone there at TC’s Marionette disconnected at the same time.

Please, PLEASE revert the armor. All of the colors are now flat and dull, and even a 100 gold dye BARELY does anything to improve it. I spent months gathering enough gold to get medium tier 3, and now I feel it’s completely wasted.

I loved the way it was – the way dyes were unpredictable, how every piece was multi-hued, and the speckled pattern made it look highly detailed and high quality.

Now every dye looks cheap, the colors don’t blend (in the beautiful way they did before), and even the legendaries I got (and spent a year on) no longer match any dye combination I have. I understand wanting to improve armor – but you did exactly the opposite. I second others that have said have the old armor as an option, or release a new set of armor with your changes.

I want what I bought.
