why cant we just have a ladder system where if winner moves up, loser goes down, middle stays, then have it change weekly. simple is better. would be more fun. id actually play that game again as would many others who are taking a break over stale match ups.
jumped off of nsp(where we were fighting ar and bp for months) to ebay. next week after switch the server drops and we end up fighting ar and bp again. after months of fighting ar and bp again this new patch is supposed to shake things up, but it doesnt. i get to have a few MORE months fighting ar and bp. kitten this. im done son. ill be back when my servers not fighting ar and bp anymore, maybe next year? anyways good luck everyone who can actually take this kitten.
The Ebayers can get upset about which guild does what on their server, but from an opponent’s perspective the only two guilds that have me looking over my shoulder in a large scale fight is Rekz and FTF. You can take it as a compliment or an insult… don’t really care but all those other guilds listed simply don’t feel as dangerous. I have fought through enough Rekz bombs (and FTF last night) to know what guilds are handing us defeats when in many cases we should be winning.

And Powerful Bloods are worth more than ectos right now, big deal. Nothing changed, there’s just currently more demand then there is supply.
actually they recently changed the drop rate in orr.
they are used in more things then powerful bloods, and almsot as many as ectos. for a transmutation item they sure are hard to come by. i understand you guys would be sad if you couldnt gouge the market with all the crystalline dust you bought cheap but there is really no place where can farm them like you can blood or even totems. i think i can get more ectos a day than dusts.
its just getting way too hard to get this anymore, and the prices on the blacklion are showing.
if any developers read this, please update the legendary minstrel please. it needs at least as many notes as the immobulus. for a legendary its very plain.

guardian and warriors shield skills should be swapped. shield is kinda meh on guardian. gives mad blocks on war. wars dont want to block they want to kill stuff. so they dont use shield. just dont get some of the way things are done in classes sometimes. for example, the engineers shotgun compared to wars sniper rifle.

It’s unfortunate to hear about your lack of defence for upgraded forts. Overtime, pugs will develop and learn if you get them to join your WvW guilds. Otherwise, use your team chat very well; I shouldn’t be telling you this as you already know.

I was by no means insulting the commanders. Some commanders such as Calleah (and the rest of SekZ) and Bird Song deserve some sort of recognition but your pugs could be a lot better.
“War Lords” [WAR] took it to Borlis tonight on the NSP map and helped even up the odds abit. Three keeps in three hours, not bad. Despite our reputation for being independent anarchists, you can look for us to continue our work against both Borlis and NSP.
And NSP, for God’s sake, please keep your map! Don’t make us come back and push Borlis out again please…. It’s like you’re a freakin’ point machine for them…

It’s good to see some Sekz hate going down. Congrats guys, looks like you’ve destroyed enough zergs to make them cry about it! I can only imagine how mad those BP and AR zergs that you steamrolled feel when pressing #1 and backpedaling doesn’t win them the fight.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone complain about Sekz. Usually there is a call out to where Sekz is, and for people to go get their free badges. Sekz definately isn’t the best guild in this tier, as is claimed.

was there ever an explanation for this? i mean with turrets being such garbage anyway why do they need 20+ second cooldowns?
i mean i know whenever i go into PVP i hear people saying “omg watch out for the engineer turrets” or if i go into a dungeon my group always says “thank god for those engineer turrets this fight would have been tough without them”
but even with that there is still no reason to have them on such long cooldowns.
Personally, i think rockets and thumpers are WAY to long of a CD, i think that 40s should be the max on all turrets…
That being said, i don’t know why so many engineers think turrets are garbage, from my experience they’re REALLY powerful, especially with trait points in them.
PS: Supply Crate + Elite Supplies = OP with a turret build, the fact i can win a 3v1 just by dropping that thing onto a point and dropping down my other turrets is kinda stupidly awesomely OPish…
im going to be blunt here, youre either talking out of your blast or youre fighting some really bad opponents. turrets suck. plain and simple. they either need more hp or cooldown reduced.
most knowledgable pvpers know that the only turrets that are even remotely viable are net turret or thumper and even on the 2-3 builds worth rolling engineer for they would be hard pressed to take out something more important for a little bit of cc on a 60+ second cooldown.
Sekz wanted to try out some of that siege stuff. Turns out its pretty ez. lol

That’s great and all, but you realize that AR just went into NSP bl and took over everything while we spent forever with 3-4 commanders on their EB keep at the end? We could have taken 1 commander and ended the NSP bl takeover but nah. Oh yeah, and everything but SM, our keep, and a few towers is now blue in EB.
tldr: AR took NSP bl while NSP struggled at AR keep in EB and then AR retook EB when NSP left.
Bottom Line: NSP barely really ever had more points than AR in all of the ‘domination’ and didn’t really get to upgrade anything. AR instead possibly wrecked some upgrades in NSP bl while upgrading stuff in sleepy BP’s bl and then PvD’d all of NSP’s EB stuff.
We really can’t afford zerg mentality on NSP if we want to win (LOL) or even more importantly, keep our ‘fair-weather’ players interested. Though if nobody really cares about any of that and just want to get the most kills and events possible while they play, that’s fine. I just don’t know why maps painted a certain color would matter then (even for bragging rights) because every server can do that at a certain part of the day while forsaking all else.
np man, we dont mind if they took at all back. why maps painted a certain color mattered… well as for that we were like yo lets do it for fun, and we did and it was a blast i really enjoyed working with noroz and moontrance at the time. and we still had most of our borderlands (if not all) and we were sitting around like 400 potential around the time i took this, i think i got a screen shot of the whole thing zoomed out.
when we finally started taking stuff it was hardly sleepy time, we were fighting 2 zergs much bigger than our own(we had an 8 man squad) around wild creek till we finally got that hold on the edge of their land.
all in all it was a great time and im sorry having to leave the field to lose everything must really be dishearting, just remember man the game is for fun, so dont be so negative, play for the moment and forget about your server rank it you’ll have a much better time.
i do not like the new culling system. my specs werent amazing as somethings did not load before, now it is worse. people in my guild who previously didn’t experience culling, are now experiencing culling. i now also experience culling on my team that im with which is something new. all in all new culling system i rate 0/10.
oh yeah and this is my first post on the subject. so if there was another thread sorry i missed it.

imho they really should have made the whole legendary thing alot more achievment based. atm is more about who can exploit up enough gold to start flipping dawn/dusks.
I agree that a lot of the caster legendaries are very specific to certain classes. I feel bad for all the necros out there who want to be legendary and only have rainbows, harps, and globes to choose from. As a Mesmer and a rainbow lover, I happen to be in luck. I’m aiming for the bifrost first and then maybe a greatsword. I wanted a legendary scepter for my ele, but I just HATE how it looks. I’ll probably go for Immobulous and then the legendary dagger.
I do have to say that the legendary hammer doesn’t look a lot like an actual hammer…but it’s still mofo-ing awesome! I’m trying to convince my bf to get it on his guardian…but he wants Twilight.
while i can see someone not wanting a legendary because it doesnt fit their char style or rp well its not even about that. its about the whole package of effects that goes with it. all the bells, whistles, footsteps and sounds that go along with a legendary. its really strange to have some with amazing effects foots steps, glow, trails etc, and then you get something like the minstrel.. that falls short of something like halloween chainsaw, princess wand or even mystic forge items, let alone a legendary.
[Sekz] So you come to your borderlands after its all blue, PvDoor some wooden towers, finally get to hills and get repelled countless times, you couldn’t even manage to build anything, then you give up and go to SM after DH manages to punch hole in the outer wall.
You guys may be good in open field (not hard since you run all the OP builds) but when it comes to being able to actually siege a defended fortification, you have a long way too go.
lol.. . we dropped down to this bracket to kill zergs. we only take things when people keep on crying about it. we dont really care for sieging or defending(unless we wanna farm you for badges) and we rarely set up siege. but trust us, when we want it, we take it. just like we did to stonemists about… oh… 1 minute ago. it only took us about.. 30 minutes to take our map back. and be good natured about things, i hate having to remind you how bad you are. it hurts my feelings.

i actually use those svanir runes in wvw. let me tell you. its saved my life more than once, or twice, or three times. imho use 1h sword, you get better precision traits if you want to chill someone over and over.
i cant imagine that you guys are actually unaware of this stuff, hopefully there is a team working on it. best of luck. oh yeah, and people with 4x legendaries? yep. they all using this.
yea, legendary weapons for casters are meh, but at least Elementalists can use Inicnerator, and Mesmer one of the two great swords…
yeh but guardians can use scepter, focus, and staff… they all suck. not really interested in using hammer or gs, and bolt is no less then 10 billion gold to get a hold of. its not just the light armor classes that gotta put up with this
Well… im a pvp player. Last night i did WvW and got 80 badges. I could get a gift of battle in about a week from scratch. some of my friends have bought stuff with badges and could get several gifts of battle over. But you know what? if we want a legendary we got to grind out all that tier 6 crap. i hate pve and grinding and yet i gotta do it for that legendary. so if i gotta suck up your stupid pve stuff you gotta suck up the stupid pvp stuff.
i’ve spent 200 gold (which i farmed for 2 months)on mystic forge with 80 lv rare berserker gs=1000 swords did not get any kind of precursor, and get about 200-300 exotic which gave me crap too. i think getting a legendary is like einstein getting resurrected right now. and i am really frustrated that anet only nerf stuf , look at charged lodestone price if i can call it price ill rather call it CRAP for 5 gold each. That pile of crap drops like precursor (farmin it for 2 days with 100+ MF gear) and did not get any of those from sparks 80lv. (3 cores dropped btw) i know its a Legendary but ppl WTF 0.0001% is too low drop chance. and btw i reported 20 bots farming those sparks in Orr and they are still THERE. A MONTH have passed by and still seeing same bots all over same places. ANET WTF!? (they will delete this post 100% )
while i would not have set it in exactly this same way this is generally the same thing i want to say. down to the sparks and bots. i was also using 100+ mf gear till i got rid of it because it seems to be useless. and i see the same kitten bots everywhere i go. i still farm materials for a legendary even tho i dont have a precursor but after throwing gold at the forge and doing boring farming for something i probably wont get ive started to play other games lately. no i wont quit or at least i hope i wont and i still do wvw with my guild once in a while but the whole legendary/charged core/bot thing makes me feel like im wasting my time, which i am.
edit: imho they could fix all of this by taking the gold equation of legendaries. period. make them unsellable. make the precursors unsellable. make all of it be 100% be you going out and doing things.
