it happens to me about once every two weeks. it’s like the mouse gets over sensitive for some reason. my only solution is to log out and log back in. that solves it for me.

same experience here.

Skill bar and map flashing

So after I enter a match or exit a match, my skill bar or map or a combo of both will just blink excessively. It’s not accompanied with lag or anything , which allows me to keep playing if it happens during a match. It’s just extremely distracting and annoying. It usually can be fixed by simply logging in and out or leaving a match and coming back in.

I would like to try and solve the issue if possible and was wondering if you think it may be my hardware?

Specs of my mac (mid-2012 model 15inch monitor):
2.6 ghz intel core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M

I do generally run my mac in clamshell mode and use a 27’’ inch external display.

i just want to start by saying this is a very well thought out post by OP. I am not a big advocate of the MM necro but i think that mainly stems from the lack of utility one brings to a team. Not to mention a lot of broken mechanics that go with MM! All of my GW2 experience is in SPVP so my opinions/suggestions revolve around that part of the game.

With that said…

They are great in 1v1 matchups like bacon has mentioned which could give them some viability as a back point bunker but thats really it. Whenever I did roll MM build (similar to op’s builds) and was in team fights, my minions would drop due to AOE dmg or myself being moa morph’d by a mesmer. this left me cold and naked, and pretty much feeling violated >.<! the minions have entirely too long of a cd even when we are spec’d for it. so i am pretty exposed with no heal or util for a good 10-20secs given the opposing team enough time to nuke me down.

with all that said… some things i would like to see changed would def be the

GREATER MARKS trait, this is pretty much a MUST for any staff necros. Why should we trait 10 into DM just to use staff? Not to mention they are still avoidable by anyone who can dodge roll! lol

Reanimator – seems useless and I am not entirely sure what to change/put here but it needs to be retooled. its almost a burden to have and i feel guilty even traiting 5 into DM knowing that is one of my trait line skills.

Shadow Fiend — Instead of blind, how about a fear? The blind on this minion just like the bone fiend is really hard to land and seems to be pretty much useless. This also means it would have some use outside of MM!

how about a debuff to decrease movement/dmg + 10 stacks of VULN for 2 hrs in PVP and PVE AND wvw!

ok that might be a little drastic, but when I que for a match where the end results essentially hurts my leader board position because some jamoke went afk after queing for a tourny there needs to be some type of punishment!

it’s not even a week since patch and this debate is already on its way? you guys have to be kitten me! lets take away the extra condi, the extra .5 (ZOMG A WHOLE .5) extra second of fear and spectral wall….ok so now we are back to where we post patch.

is this really what we want??

if so, lets just do us all a favor and just perma-delete the necro class all together then shall we? because prior to this patch necros just like warriors were pretty much useless and not used in competitive tournies. even with these buffs, we are still lacking ANY escapability. the whole point of this buff was to give us that CONTROL we have been so looking forward to. the closer you get to a necro, the less likely you should be able to escape, that is what the class should be! our only defense for burst or to avoid any type of big dmg is DS, which can be nuked in SECONDS by more than 2-3 people targeting you. hell if you get one really good bursting thief/war/mes/INPUT DPS CLASS HERE/ you are left with nothing and are pretty much screwed.

I was probably just as surprised as everyone else when the necro got these incredible buffs, but it was very much so needed! I don’t think we need to be nerfed nor do we need much more buffing, the necro class finally got the attention it needed and needs to be left alone for awhile until we can all understand these new changes.

as stated above by some other posting, quit qqing and learn to COUNTER! necros are very VULN to cc, especially ELES!
