Its not that anyone has given up, just that the extra motivation to push for a closer score simply isn’t possible. People are possibly just playing their daily few hours raid instead of the overtime that everyone does when scores are close.

When such thing happens, its often that pugs are affected as they log on to a cmderless map which results in what we see as “giving up”.

For ppl who play for fights, they are the ones who play that 1-2 hrs daily, no overtime no extra effort to stay on and push. Those who stay a bit later are the ones pushing for the PPT. It happens when scores are close.

Whatever ATM/FOO are doing are just playing WvW. They are focusing on who they want to focus because end of the day, the position/ranking remains the same, on top of that the RNG involved, you cant hold any position.

Even if they did focus on BG, they will still lose towers/keeps thru EU simply because of lack of coverage. Whatever JQ SEA do now is probably just fighting. No planning involved for next day as they simply do not have the EU/NA coverage. Perhaps to JQ SEA, WvW is a daily thing as everything resets the next day.

To blame an individual on destroying the server is ridiculous though, if you have a cmder which nobody respects, nobody will follow and another more competent commander can rise to the occasion. no?

I think that the elephant in the room right now is the amount of cheating that has been occurring on Sanctum of Rall recently. Normally when these things happen, it’s just an isolated incident from individuals and these actions are condemned by the entire server.

However exploiting in WvW has become a common theme from SoR lately and it is not just done by individuals, but leaders of influential WvW guilds.

Sanctum of Rall keeps boasting how it has the best community. Well now is a good time to prove it. Stand up as a community against these cheaters, get these guilds into line or ostracize them from your server.

Cheating, hacking and exploiting is my number 1 hate in online gaming, it’s something that I always avoid and it turns me off games completely. For me, if you cheat, it means that you are weaker than your opponent. If you can’t win without cheating then you are an automatic loser.

Blaming Arenanet for this is absurd, it’s like blaming the IOC (International Olympic Committee) for the athletes being able to obtain banned substances from the black market. And it’s the IOC’s fault that the athletes choose to obtain illegal substances that are undetectable.

Please Sanctum of Rall, no more glitching through gates and entering inside towers to destroy the siege and attack defenders, no more eyefinity arrow cart exploiting, no more daily usage of duped Omega Golem rushes.

Sanctum of Rall has proven itself as the toughest server in North American, you don’t need to resort to cheating in order to succeed, SoR need to act as a community to eliminate the cheating or don’t be surprised to see it spread amongst the rest of NA.

Do not under estimate the impact of unfairly clearing superior siege and taking tier 3 objectives has on the entire match up.

Unless Anet says it’s not allowed I don’t see why it would be unacceptable. For anyone not just SoR.

Guides on using 3rd party software whether it is considered an exploit or not, there is such a post made by Anet.

I remember 1 of it stating that it made something possible which by right if without that software is impossible is actually considered an exploit.

E.g setup eyefinity to allow multiple monitors since you have 2, fine.
If you use a software which allows you to have a wider view that allows you to see things which you or other players normally wouldnt be able to see, that software is not being used as intended.

Its the intention of the user that says whether its an exploit or not.

I don’t think BG guilds GvG. When we asked the responses were always something along the lines of “we strictly ptfo (play the effing objective)”

As for JQ guilds I know vH, Agg, HzH, RG are willing to GvG

SoR guilds I know TW and Choo will never turn one down. FEAR would probably be willing too as they’ve done it before in that TW/FEAR vs Waha GvG and HighLine has also showed a small interest I think. IRON is also open to GvG if your guild is active during that timeslot

We should respect each and every guild that plays in WvW fairly (not resorting to cheats) regardless if they GvG or not.

Maybe you could have re-phrased better for clarity which is why devil took to offense.

Regardless, its good that RG came over to NA for some GvG action. Hopefully there will be a rematch from some of the guilds they fought before they move off.

TW dosent form team composition, they just pick whoever are available and online to GvG which is probably why they are at a disadvantage.

I think devil’s point of view is that there is a large gap in skill level which is why the score difference is so large and yet you mentioned that what they are doing is no different from what TW is doing.

Great to see the forum posts turning from slandering/accusations/flaming to words of encouragement and praises for one another. Respect to all servers, all winners in different aspects, everyone gained something good from all the fights, i’m sure of it.

Eyefinity can be used even with a single monitor setup by switching modes and then using that same monitor to gain a larger FOV. Can someone verify?

In this case, any 3rd party software which grants you an ability that once you do not use it will not have access to attack certain spots makes it… unintended use?

Pre-emptive post here… While clearing guards at NW tower on BGBL about 10 minutes ago we had an [AoS] guild mate get knocked through the closed gate. He jumped straight back out without killing anything inside and we decided to leave the tower alone after killing the guards to get out of combat. Bugs are unavoidable but not exploiting them is a choice. Hope y’all understand.

Most in JQ are fine with the turn of the tide. Some are taking a break and enjoying some PvE new content. The remaining in WvW are just making do with what numbers they have.

But with the numbers already on BG’s side, do some still need to resort to spying, deliberately sabotaging sieges and crapping on map chat?

blackgate spy named himself blackgate spy, how convenient… its obvious hes a spy from blackgate.

Do note that too much temp transfers screw up ratings instead of stabilizing them.

They give a server a false sense of coverage and when the temp transfers returns to their own server and leaves a gap for the natives to fill. It is not a good thing.

Refer to previous posts about coverage, someone posted about JQ/BG/SOR guilds in WvW.

There are alot of guilds missing from the list provided though.

It’s only almost 5pm PST. It’s been known for months that SoR is filled with NA East guilds which helps with the EU-Early NA trade off..

After all these months it’s now due to the Eastern Time zone guilds, haha.

I’m not sure why you find that “funny”. If you do, I think you haven’t had enough fun yet. Also, nobody said all credit should be given to their EST guilds. It is a fact that SoR tends to have more presence during early NA, but that tends to stabilize as the BG/JQ PST guilds zone into the maps. I’ll leave it up to you to analyze the past 2 hours.

Yea, there is actually a very good channel for 1v1 especially in heart of the mist. People in there are more traited/built around 1v1 builds

Double teams happen in general, but from what I’m seeing this was planned in advance. Such a tragedy to have happen in T1, but we welcome the challenge. More bags for us.

I don’t think anyone is crying especially when SoR is winning the war.
I remember that Indo in his speech asked for 2v1 fights against SoR to make this match more challenging, more so he is actively helping with recruiting guilds for BG and JQ. One example is the BT guild which if they have joined SoR it would have completely imbalanced the match. I would love to see that type of unselfish attitude from everyone to cover each one’s weak spots and coverage.
Let’s all work together helping each other to make this a better match.

If what other SoRs said is true that you have queue on a number of maps, you may risk having WvW-ers not able to participate in any WvW at all should you be accepting NA guilds. Look at dragonbrand’s this week matchup, its not helping their own server that they are steamrolling their opponents. In fact, none of the 3 servers are having fun.

2v1 is happening everyday, not happening to you does not mean it does not exist or will never happen to you.

There is no specific timezone to double team, there is only an opportunity window to allow it to happen.

2v1 isn’t a first, this happens in EBG previously before to some servers you all already know. Just that perhaps this is the first time some of the SEA guilds actually experienced it cos BG/JQ really can’t resist fighting each other. This 2v1 was more of an opportunity to flip T3 that is simply too hard to resist.

2v1 happens naturally when you are in your own server’s borderlands.

There is no incentive for 2 opposing server to fight in the opponents garrison. It just saves time for the opponents(SoR) to regrp as they are nearer to home base.

T3s need to be flipped so that it is an easier target. Although the skill lag did cause some issues with people running around and others unable to deal any dmg.

Weakest timezone or not, your map is probably queued? It was an opportunity for both servers to flip both your T3 as to what you did to JQ and BG previously in their not so strong timezones too.

DeWolfe probably means (using my logical deduction) greatest numbers of WvW players active and has no indication that he is actually comparing total server population. He probably left out one word there.

LUN is a brazilian guild right? I think IRON also shows up during SEA time.

For SOR, you might wanna fill in CRNG, SYN, LOD, SIN, TIME, MORD, VNG , GoDs,USA, SPQR, PD,SEC, LO? These are some of the guilds i took notice of when running in wvw, not sure their timezone. Maybe their not playing anymore, not sure. But some of them i do still see them on the forums and in game.

Sounds like a core problem within BG. I agree with the poster above that BG probably has absorbed a lot, if not the most, wvw orientated guilds of the 3 servers yet their performance does not show. It seems that the entire atmosphere of BG is toxic. You need a strong leader to step up to re-organize the server or the current active wvw guilds should start over somewhere else to be quite frank. It’s obvious the current “eat up as many servers/guilds as possible and we’ll be ok” strategy isn’t working for BG.

That being said, if it requires a 2v1 against SoR, then it requires a 2v1 against SoR. I think most Rallians are used to being the underdog by nature, so a 2v1 would bring that back for them since that’s where they thrive.

The atmosphere isn’t toxic at all. We have some kinks to work out with communication on our new TS setup, but other than that the environment is as friendly and organized as it can be. Sure there are frustrations at times, but I don’t believe any server is immune to that and it’s perfectly normal.

Why player activity dropped for certain guilds that transferred to the server is anyone’s guess. My personal feelings on the matter is some of those guilds were already hurting, and some players just wanted a last hoorah with a T1 victory before calling it quits on the game. The players that remain have been reorganizing and rebuilding their rosters, but that takes time. In the meantime, the core is still there doing our thing and leadership is still strong and doing their thing. But on many days and certain times we simply haven’t been able to sustain the same numbers in WvW as SoR.

You’ve picked up BT from FA, a massive NA guild, and you’re also getting XF from KN, a decent sized OC/SEA guild.

How much more could BG possibly need to eat up to be competitive. You have without question the most WvW guilds of anyone in T1.

That list you have consists of some of the smaller/medium guilds and some that went inactive, that list is probably very outdated. How do you judge a large/small/medium guild?

i got that before, i had to port out… cant do anything. I got stuck in i think klovan’s wall
and i seen someone stuck below the floor where the portal usually stands when your porting golem from south bay to inner south.

GvG is too debatable and subjective. Don’t think its going anywhere but we just have to respect the interests of individual players/guilds.

People still carry on hosting their GvG and others carry on their daily WvW. People do what they like and what interests them so…

Watching is different from participation, you should know that preparing a gvg requires time and effort to get to form your team. Need everyone to be traited properly and geared properly. Thats where all the theory crafting comes in, some people love to experiment build synergies but this will take a lot of time to test.

GvG is simply open field fights, you need good builds/team composition/and small team coordination, more of exploring different classes and trying to combine them with their different traits and skills.

WvW is situational awareness, micro-management, map awareness across all different BLs and mental warfare.

Food/oil used is different for WvW and GvG, same goes for the builds too.

GvG is more about theory crafting and team composition. Getting the right kind of synergy and blasts/combo. Whoever can figure the team builds will have the advantage.

The reason for having 3 servers is to prevent lopsided fights totally.

Why would [RE] be giving themselves a dateline when the new matchups are currently like this, will need some time for it to settle down i guess?
