Yeah this happened to me too. Everything just randomly disappeared, my underwater gear was equipped and I lost all my skills. Dry Top got pretty spooky in some parts.

I could still talk in guild chat and people saw me as online. Pretty weird.
The blueprint….
Thanks for the reply!
Looks like I’ll still have to be a little careful before destroying this stuff. My bank won’t be happy :<
So I’ve been participating in a lot of the events going on but have neglected to put a lot of effort into using up all the event items. Can anyone tell me if these are safe to toss?
Might post a suggestion about event items becoming salable greys after the relevant event is over if they’re worthless>_> that would make things easier.

I actually love Scarlet’s character. I think it makes sense that she was behind Thaumonova. She was studying with the Asura and needed to find ways to open portals across Tyria to cause all the chaos that we’ve all witnessed. What better and fitting way than using chaos portals to spread more chaos? The only way to witness how she learned to use them is to time travel via fractals.
Thaumonova was on the map before the frac (look at northeast Metrica Province).
If we would have unlocked the Fall of Abbadon frac she probably wouldn’t have been in there.
Why have gem clothing items not been added to the achievements’ “unlocked rewards” panel? I would have bought so many different skins if I knew I could reuse them on my other characters. I understand that people say it’s to sell transmutation crystals but it doesn’t make sense when you’ll only be able to use it on one character anyways. There’s also no way I’m buying cosmetic clothing multiple times… but I would consider buying new sets.
Putting aside how these current ones are just underwhelming reskins, I don’t even have enough inventory space to continually buy new armors.
If you could increase the speed of thief projectiles, that would be great.
I feel it takes way too long for cluster bomb to get where it needs to be, it’s already frustrating enough I can’t launch a second arrow without blowing up the first one which has not even reached its target.
I’m loving the revamped Tequatl, deaths, complaints, coordination rallies and all!
Since it is the first week of release and servers are completing Tequatl I don’t think anyone can really call this fight impossible. However, a few things could be improved to make it more enjoyable and possible for players not on a perfectly coordinated 100+ teamspeak group to complete the event.
- Increase time limit.
30mins may very well do the trick. Add an achievement with a title/reward for groups who can complete it within the 15min original time limit.
- Add pre-event.
This will allow players to join their guildmates in proper overflows and give people a little time to organize themselves. Bonus points for implementing a GW1 style dropdown menu to select specific overflows and not requiring people to ferry other members across servers with the join in menu.
- Turret Boot Camp.
There’s only 6 turrets, if one is failing it can ruin the entire event. When Tequatl is not up there should be some kind of training event on the turrets. They shouldn’t provide karma, gold or experience but it would be handy for all those people itching to try the artillery but ruining the event for everyone else for taking up a precious slot and not knowing what to do. Get on the turret, event pops up “Buff 10 allies” “Dispel 10 poison clouds” “remove 5 scales” within the time limit.
Training dummies could be setup the side opposite of where Tequatl usually stands and he can take out all the training equipment when he spawns.
- Ready Check.
Add some kind of clickable to help remove AFK players in the zone and allow more active players to actually join the event.
TA is high on the list of dungeon candidates as our permanent dungeon revamp/updates begin to start back up again as themes for some of our living world releases.
It’s nice and all that it’ll get a revamp but I don’t see how changing a couple things to make this path tolerable. Add circles to when the spider eggs are about to drop, make spiders despawn on death; done!
Just got the achievement but just want to add in I never saw a buff and I closed way more than 5 Watchwork portals.
Love this, I’ve always felt like CC abilities were downright useless on bosses and this would definitely make things more interesting!
I don’t think it should be removed altogether, as you said it should start stacking if players throw too much cc on a boss.
this is because peeps are only running past and not killing the holograms, 50% spawn as holo’s but these ones are never reset by most, so the 50 % that are Aetherblades then get to re-spawn and only 50 % of those can re-spawn as Aetherblades so the number of Aetherblades keeps going down each time they are reset, unless someone resets the holo ones as well
I’ve been running around Fireheart for the last 2 hours popping every node without seeing anyone else. I’m sure that does contribute to the problem though.
just go to a cache in the region and stand by the chest. they respawn every minute.
That’s what I said I was doing but that’s so stupid, why should I waste my time doing nothing instead of exploring and having fun?
Yeah I’ve seen the threads, I just wanted to throw another one on the pile to get it changed before the event is over since it’s already gone on the 9th. There’s not much time to waste.
I’ve been running around zones hitting the hologram projectors to get the regional Aetherblade kill achievements and I’ve found maybe 1 node per 25 I’ve checked… if that.
I’m really tired of farming the stupid jump puzzle mobs, pretty sure that’s not how this is supposed to work. I’m definitely not having fun with these.
So I got around to toying with sPVP this month since I didn’t feel like collecting all the audiologs for the PVE daily.
I discovered the medium armor set “Stalwart” and got excited about a new skin for my wvw gear but according to the wikis I’ve checked it’s not available in PVE?
Why would a basic looking set not be available? Can we somehow get this added? I’m sure there’s a light/heavy set equivalent to this medium gear that’s also currently unavailable.
Is there a particular reason why Black Powder is a projectile finisher and not a blast finisher?
Changing it over to a blast finisher would open up a lot of new tactics like providing AoE heal on healing wells or using most of your initiative to AoE stealth.
I don’t quite understand how it being a projectile finisher does it any good.
I’ve also never used my trap skills. They’re either weak or just aren’t interesting/versatile enough to use over other skills.
This is a longshot and it applies to many other classes as well but getting access to some new weapon types couldn’t hurt.

This took my guild group an hour to complete. If you give him even a second to regen he’ll recover massive chunks.
So I’ve been thinking of a few quality of life improvements for guilds, and could not get the search function to work to see if any of this was mentioned before, I also had some trouble accepting the terms of service for the forums, but that’s cleared up now.
These were originally posted on r/guildwars2 since I could not access the official forums at the time. The discussion points came from there.

- In the chat filters, separate guild/friend login notices from the generic game message filter. I really want to see my contacts log in but it really doesn’t help when I get to see a thousand notices for picking up gathering materials or shiny things.
- In the Message of the Day History Feed, add a built in line break between message of the day updates, it’s really hard to read the history the way it’s currently formatted.
- Add a filter for influence contribution. This might be a little controversial if your guild is super serious hardcore, but it’s fun to see who participates the most.
- Save filter options, the achievement point filter never sticks.
- If someone only belongs to one guild, automatically add their alts to represent their guild or provide a new help message that explains the representation procedure for alts.
Edits below are from Reddit discussions
- Display last login and last influence generated time for guild members.
- Enable the ability to edit motd instead of just typing a brand new one.
- Broadcast motd in guild chat when updated, and on login.
- Add a warning prompt when promoting another member to guild leader.
- Add a message to guild notifications when a new member joins the guild
- Add a method to view/chat with multiple guilds at once.
