Something i’ve wondered for some time but not really understood.

If you look at some of the metabuilds ,
For example : a reaper build recommends First set : scepter / dagger
second set Scepter (again ) , with warhorn.

the thing i wonder, let’s just say you use scepter skills, then switch set, you will still have scepter skills on cd, ofc and can use warhorn skills, but then why pick scepter in second set ?

Why not pick another for second set , as then when you use scepter skills and switch , you will have the extra abillities to use aswell. it just seems to limit things to me , and i don’t get it.

If anyone can please explain this to me and why it is like this, it would be greatly appreciated. i hope i explained this good enough. thanks

GW2 is mainly single-threaded. It’s not your hardware’s fault but how unoptimized the software is. You’d need a Tianhe-II supercomputer to get 60 FPS with full details and no entity culling. Even an extremely overclocked Core i7 4790 with quad-SLI’d GTX780 is not able to do this.

This issue is present in all DX9-based games because the DX9 render pipeline is single-thread only. DX11 is able to render multithreaded, with Civilization 5 being the first game utilizing it.

The game devs mainly used DX9 until recently due to WinXP support. With XP being a thing of the past, most devs are likely to move on towards DX11.

i do think its decent parts ,it works ok in games, had some struggle playing metro last light, fps was really bad, in guild wars 2 though i Can play medium ,some high settings,its a little mixed, But when im getting in large crowds it starts lagging insane.

like world boss fights ,behemoth, frozen maw, stuff with a large crowd. gotta go on lowest settings right away. and im playing in large crowds much lately so i think its pretty bad.

I did get some money in my account now so i figured i might upgrade something , but dont know what should be upgraded for it, my graphic card maybe ?

Can someone , if you got some pc knowledge please give me an advice about it ?

hello guys . i have been taking a break from gw2 and not played in a while ,my main is a necromancer but now i feel like leveling my warrior up to 80.

i wonder what is your opinion on best Warrior dps build for pve ? and what do you recommend using?

weapons ,armor stats,wich rune stats, what to put trait points in and stuff like that.

hello,i just started playing a warrior, im currently only at level 8, but i wonder if anyone know what weapons ,stats and traits would be best for doing most damage,since im going for dps. for stats i would guess precision and power as the main ones atleast,but thats all i know.

when i try to purchase gems i get the message " card approval failed " even though i know i have money. im using the credit card ,visa. and have no idea why this is happening ,if its something wrong with gw2 or the info im giving but i have bought some gems earlier and that worked fine.but now i just keep getting errors.

gw1 had this in ingame store, i bet its a high possibilitty it will come later ,99%chance it will cost gems

I would rather have 1 tool with durability meter and depending on what thing you mine/chop/gather it will reduce its durability accordingly. Let’s say a 150 Durability would be ok Some plants will take 5 durability in one gather, other will just take 1, 2, 3

Brilliant idea : ) and something else that also would have been good is that instead of buying like , 5 of those tools , putting one in the equippment slot and having 4 in the inventory , you could buy 5, and lets say the tools got 50 durabillity , and then the tools will stack so you got 1 tool in the gathering equippment slot with 250 durabillity.

and it could also be tools with different amounts of durabillity , only that when you buy them it will stack on the one u got in gathering equippment , so u got it without having to go back buying more for a while. and also not take up any inventory slots.
I dont know if you already got that suggestion in your comments though xD

Like wow, for those who have played it , i would like to be able to inspect other players , and look at their gear, and like see what they have accomplished. just would have been a cool thing to have.

I’m looking for ways of making money by playing the game, aka not “playing the market” or some other gimmick.

So far I found farming lvl 80 animals/trolls/grawls the only way to get a decent income.

Only thing i know is to sell the crafting materials and salvageable trophys on Trading post.

The first thing i always say: I do not recommand a latop for gaming.

And when i googled the video cart on google i got this:

There are already several threads about duels. To break it down, most people would accept a duel system if there are certain restrictions like a auto deny options and if duels would be deactivated in cities and pvp.

yeah of course, agree on that.

it would be fun with holiday events like different events in summer,easter,halloween,christmas time , with different stuff to do like quests that gives awards ,titles,achivments,miniatures, and so on, but i also do agree on that they should maybe just start with fixing the bugs and stuff that needs to be adjusted

Dont neccesery have to be in the open world either, if it would be like a own little duelling are for those 2 players when duelling or something . kinda like the guild duels on gw1 , u could duel 1v1 but with npcs in both team too though

I think it would be fun with a duel system, like in wow , just something extra,. that you can just right click a player to request a duel and challenge that player.

dont know what other people think about this but i think it would be cool to have : )

Not max but the ASUS K55VM will run GW2 decently at the 1366×768 resolution, probably within the medium settings range. The weakest component is the GPU, which is only slightly better than the new integrated GPUs.

To run GW2 on high or max settings on a laptop, you’re going to have to spend at least $800 for a laptop with an Nvidia GT 650m.

A core i7 is definitely a great cpu for gaming, but you’ll probably want a new monitor. The 15.6 inch monitor sounds like something someone pulled out of their storage, as you can’t find a monitor smaller then 19 inches (21 usually) these days on the market for purchase from a retailer. You’ll also want more of the “DDR3 SDRAM” as the game uses about 1.5 gigs, windows likes half a gig, and that leaves you with zero.

I would recocmend at a minimum if you wanted it for Guild Wars, to go with 4gb of Ram (Your motherboard dictates whether you have 2 slots or 4 slots) If you have 2 slots, I would go with two, 2 gig sticks of memory (ram), or if you have 4 slots, it’s your call on whether you want to go to 8 if your going to be gaming. (Must have a 64 bit version of Windows to run anything greater then 4).

if you want to be support then i think the best would be guardian.mace and shield , got alot of protection for the party and more healing spells u can get in utility skills.. but its not really an answer cause i dont know any that is high damage and also good at support.
but you can of course take power , precision , thougness in traits or something like that ..

I have heard its some kind of currency to buy items from vendors , but i dont know.

or is it just for selling to vendors ,for some extra money ?
