right, but if i am using mouse to look around i still need to move forward?, very hard to hit 6789 keys when im focusing on W. I don’t see how you guys play like this.

I looked in options several time, didnt see a way you increase the A D scrolling?
Can only turn fast with camera?
So how am I supposed to play? hit r to auto run, rotate around with mouse, then that leaves what to select my spells with? if A D rotating were faster you could click skills, but as it is now is very slow.

How did you all play this for 3 years without complaining about this? you just bend over and take it?

yeah punish us more for having a bad team, thats not the problem, and won’t solve anything, typical elitist attitude..
Theres nothing you can do about it, in any, ANY multiplayer game that involves capturing the objective you have two kinds of people. Be it first person shooters, mobas, RPG’s, RTS games. There are people who play the objectives, and try to capture, and there are fighters who only care about getting kills, and never try to get objectives. I may be noob at GW2 but I am not a noob at gaming, and punishing losing team isn’t going to help anything. Especially if you have people on the team who did good, and people on the team who did bad.
You have people who capture objectives, and people who don’t.

Edit: My point is, if you have one good guy on a team who cares about winning and the rest don’t should that one guy suffer?

I don’t get it, whats wrong with more than one mesmer?
We got steam rolled by a team of mesmers the other day, granted I am a noob, but that doesn’t mean my whole team was, they had clan tags and fancy looking gear, and what not.

outside of eles i did not saw any other class that was able to beat a REEEEALY good mesmer.

Ive seen in several games where a team of mostly mesmers will wreck a team of mostly guardians, or warriors.
and as a guardian up against a mesmer I feel pretty useless, they just warp around, and clone, and my attacks are wasted. They are worse than thieves, they just disappear, reappear somewhere else, and pwn me.

Is there a certain strategy a guardian can use against mesmers? or is it rock paper scissors mesmer covers guardian?

K, so kdaddy, would you say he is over all good, or only when he plays his specific role in your group? if your power necro was in a group of randoms would he still do good?
Sounds to me like he is only as good as his group according to Rolisteel.

I see a lot of complaints about necro spells, and necro is not good in PVP here on the forums in various posts.
Is this true? Is there anyone out there who can PROVE that necro can own in PVP?
and how do you know? How do you know you weren’t just up against a bunch of noobs, and you would have done even better with another class?
Is necro under powered? or are people just being whiny?

Tried guardian this time, doing a bit better, I think my elementalist just sucked I guess.

I am a little disappointed in the score screen, I would expect more details like total damage dealt, total damage taken, allies healed, etc, How am I supposed to take competitive pvp seriously if there are no stats tracked to see who did what?

All you get is points captured, kills, couple of other things. =/

hmmm, I dunno, I tried Warrior this time, I had a bit more survivability, but most of all it seems I was actually doing damage to things. so maybe just bad armor? or bad element build i guess? =/

Just started playing today
I made an elementalist, got to level 3, and jumped up to lvl 80 5v5 pvp.
I finished someone, capped a zone, but mostly I just got wrecked.
I feel like I am barely doing any damage to people, is it my weapon? or because I am not fully armored? as I only had the 2 pieces of armor from lvl 3?
I pumped my traits into my most used skill element and put 10% on my element damage, and cooldown, and utilized switching element types in combat while waiting for weapon skill cool downs, but still very weak, and pathetic. I don’t think my build was that bad, so there must be something I am doing wrong

I did a lot of research on GW2 before I decided to buy it, but it did not prepare me for this, finished downloading not too long ago, I simply cannot choose a server, I didn’t realize it would be a blood oath!

I need balance.
I want a server that does WVW, but not a bunch of elitists who are going to tell me what build to play!
but also lots of other 3v3 5v5 pvp on the different game modes, and structured pvp
with plenty of people to play with and no wait times in que.

On the other hand I am noob, so I need a server where there are other lowbies leveling up characters, and not all just 3 year vets, I don’t want to be the servers lowest ranking player either!

Can someone recommend a good balanced server? preferably one that does NOT have some lame name like bucket of sorrows, or araforms putrid bile, or some other stupid nonsense name.

Also, while I want to be on a server that is on the WVW ranking top 20, I don’t want to be playing with a bunch of elitists! But I don’t want to get obliterated because my server doesn’t care about WVW. Is there a good balanced server?

Edit: New Accounts should be able to switch servers for free for the first 2 times, or the first 2 weeks or something like that =/ Maybe I will put in suggestion area.

Yes, I eventually wanted to get into Wvw, I was looking at the wvw ranks. Not that I have to be the best or anything, but if I wvw I don’t want to get rofl stomped.
At the same time I am a new player, and if everyone on a server does WVW I won’t have any one else to level up with, and I will be the servers token scrub.
I guess I want balance, I was going to join DragonBrand because I like the name
but if anyone wants to suggest a good server that is good at WVW but also noob friendly?

I don’t know why they make changing servers such a huge deal =/ I feel like I’m getting married or something.

Why is this such a mystery? nobody knows this? >_<

I tried looking this up online with mixed information (the internet is always right anyone?)
Just downloading GW2, I wanted to join a specific server but it is full, can I try again later?

Does full server mean max accounts on that server are already created? or is that the number of current active players?
