I thought I will repost my answer about how to do this dungeon now. Earlier this boss was really easy, but June ? patch made it one of toughest fights if you don’t know the right tactics. I have done it last Sunday using tactics from that video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5drmLuDu9Gs . Just forward to 11:30 and check their tactics. This is by far the safest and most efficient way to complete it right now. It should take you about 40 seconds to kill the boss with the best party setup. You need two guardians with skills: spirit shield of the avenger+sanctuary+wall of reflection+tome of wrath and trait: spirit weapon last 50% longer. While first guardian uses shields, 2nd uses tome of wrath and 4 skill to give haste and staff skill to give might. We used 3 berserk warriors, but I think you can still use any 3 pure berserk classes, but 2 guardians+3 warriors is probably best way to beat it. Just make sure you use food buffs, banners, traits to give you power. Focus on power because tree is invulnerable to critical hits, so use soldier or valkyrie or berserker armor. Guardians will provide enough defence from projectiles you can easily survive with pure berserk. Also communicate who is using their shield first and once first guardian will run out from defence shields make sure 2nd guardian will use their ones.
It might be possible to do it with one guardian and 4 berserker(power) classes using the same tactics but it leaves no room for error. Hope it helps, and lets hope Anet fix it, because for sure it is bugged.

I know that you are looking for smaller guild and in theory we might be bit bigger than what you are looking for, but because of the fact I think in Pandion Knights I found all the qualities you are looking for, you will enjoy our guild. You can try it first without transferring and then if you like us you can transfer to our world.

By no means spider spawning rate is bugged since June patch. It is possible to do it, but it is extremely hard. Either chain reflections or kite the spiders using reflections skills as well. Use P/V/T armor since boss is invulnerable to critical hits, stack might and dps the boss.
I hope arenanet will fix the spiders spawning, because you cannot find anybody who wants to run this path right now. It is by no means, toughest dungeon encounter right now, boss is ok, but the side spiders are killers. Arah seams easy comparing to this fight.

I was writing to you earlier here in the thread but maybe my post was a bit PR-ish.

But why not give Pandion Knights a try. We are on Seafarer Rest in EU zone. We are casual, mature and really friendly. We have been playing GW2 since the start and we still very active. Also recently lots of new players like you joined our ranks. We have ts when we do socialize every evening, have some laugh or just chill out. You could just guest, until you will gather funds to transfer. We had couple of players joining us from different servers and we are perfectly fine for them to stay on different server until they get money to transfer. Some decided to just delete their chars but like I said we don’t require it. Just enjoy playing with us by guesting, and slowly gather money to transfer by doing dungeons, events with us. This game is just too boring to play it alone.

Just as a comment you should change your web page design to download the data from api in one thread, probably as a script running on a server. Users should have access to info that the script already downloaded. It will be faster because you can increase the periodicity of reading the data from api and you can minimize the amount of data downloaded by each session(by just exposing the data about events users are interested). This way you minimize traffic to arenanet api and minimize the users traffic, but it will increase traffic on your server. But overall it still would be much better if everybody follow that pattern.

Well I can easily gather information about guilds on my server by just asking who claimed it and create additional custom map of keys and guild names. I think I will use it as temporary solution but it would be much better if we would have that information.

I already read that thread, but I would like to know definite answer if arenanet will expose that information. I don’t think it is harmful to see guild names when we already have info about claimed objectives. If they have decided that info is not harmful, exposing guild names shouldn’t be harmful as well.

Is it possible to decode owner_guild returned by wvw match_details currently? Or are you planing to provide us an api for guild names so we could match them to these keys?

Great API btw, planning some days off so I could play with it and create couple of apps/web pages.

If you are on Seafarers Queensdale just guest to Desolation Queensdale, if you are on Desolation Metrica guest to Seafarers Metrica and move your chars to other zone. You will be able to play them at least. I don’t know how fast Anet will respond to this problem, but at least we have workaround.

No, it is much more people affected. SFR Queensdale and Deso Metrica has the same problems. But you can still get your characters from that zone. Just use guesting and change to other server. Login with your char move him to other zone and go back to your home server. I hope I have helped.

You can get your chars by using guesting. Just change the server with working Metrica province and login with your character stuck in that province, move him to other zone like LA or other and than change back to your home server. I hope I have helped.

The only way to get your chars is by guesting. You need to guest other server with working Queensdale and move your characters to different zone. Than come back to your home server. I know that Desolation Metrica province is not working and Seafarer’s Rest Queensdale has the same problem. I don’t know if there are more servers with zones like that
