Also having this issue! I am now repairing the files, and I’ll update when it is finished.

For anyone wondering how to “run GW2 – repair” here are some instructions:

1. Locate your Gw2.exe file.
2. Right-click on the file and select Create shortcut.
3. Rename this new shortcut to Guild Wars 2 Repair.
4. Right-click on Guild Wars 2 Repair and select Properties.
5. Locate the Target line and add –repair to the end. (Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 6. 2\gw2.exe” -repair)
7. Click OK.

UPDATE:
The repair didn’t finish and got about half-way though then froze. I tried to run it again and it failed at less than 10%. I decided to try to run the game again with my normal launcher (the one without the -repair target) and it suddenly worked! So, I’m not sure if this worked or not, or if it is a permanent fix, but I wanted to share it for you guys!

Yeah, hovering over it says “Transmuted. Mawdrey.” I thought the same thing though, so I tried to transmute it back into the mawdrey skin. But it still had “transumted” on there…. So it looks like I can’t infuse it until I get the skin removed basically :/

Hey guys, I accidently transmuted my Mawdrey backpiece. I am new to the whole fractal thing and was really hoping to get into it. I knew that i could infuse the mawdrey that I worked hard for earlier, so I went and got a gift of ascension today to upgrade it. Then I noticed that I couldn’t put my Mawdrey into the mystic forge! After about an hour of googling what could be wrong, I decided to ask the guild and linked my “mawdrey” backpiece. I thought that the one I had (it was an exotic) was mawdrey all along, but it was actually just a transmuted exotic backpiece. My REAL mawdrey was on another character and I accidently put a Fervid Sensor skin on it!! I’m not sure why or how I managed to get them mixed up between characters, but it won’t let me put my real mawdrey, the fervid sensor, in the mystic forge to make the infused ascended version of the item. I really REALLY want to have my back piece infused so I can get my 70 AR (by having 5 on each item)! I will be very very sad if I have to re-make my mawdrey just because I made a mistake, which is more of a glitch/bug in my opinion. My guild said that Anet has fixed stuff like this in the past for other people, and that they have called it a bug. I don’t know if this is true or not, but I would be SO happy if this had a chance at being fixed! Anyone know if I have a shot in the dark or am I basically up a creek without a paddle…?

After the update today I can no longer see blue commander tags! They don’t show up on my minimap and they don’t show up over the heads of the players either. I can see all of the other colors though (I think so anyways)! Any idea what is causing this? I have tried different characters and have logged in and out a few times – same thing.

I also ran mine as administrator and got it to work. Only went up to 300kb/s though, but good enough for the patch to go through.

This seems to happen with every patch now… :/

Can someone tell me what this means? I have no experience with coding what-so-ever. My C drive is a Solid State Drive, so I put everything on my D drive instead. Do I have to do something differently? I’d appreciate any help, as every time I try to launch the GW2 launcher now it fails and I have to restart my whole system. -_-

So for anyone that is super confused like I was, I just figured this out….

Right click on the GW2 icon or shortcut. Go to properties. Go to the shortcut tab. There should be a box that says the file location for the GW2 application called “Target.” In that box add -assetsrv 93.188.135.37:80 behind the last " mark with a space in-between. For those of you with large monitors, the symbol before the assetsrv is a dash! I hope this helps, I know I was really confused by the previous instructions with the whole “destination” thing.

This worked for me! I went up to a whole 400kb/s instead of 5kb/s! lol

So the actual game client with the load bar is up now, but I am only getting speeds of (max) 200KB/s…. when I usually download at 6MB/s…. so something is still messed up with comcast. If I actually do a speed test, I have over a 60MB/s download speed. :/

Also have comcast…… so who is going to fix this? Comcast or Anet? Because if comcast does then we are never going to play again…

Same problem with the pet seed – just like all the others.

So I just set up the mobile authenticator yesterday and when I logged into guild wars 2 or onto the gw2 site, I was not prompted for that verification code like I should have been. It was like nothing had changed after setting up the authenticator. After logging into my account on the site, I could see that the authenticator was linked with my account.

I contacted support about the issue today and they just misunderstood me or something, as they just un-linked the authenticator. >.> I just re-did it and am having the same issue!

Help would be appreciated. I feel like maybe I am doing something wrong, or got caught in some weird little bug. I know how google authenticator works, as I have it set up and working for my Wildstar account (and it is working with no issues)! I just would like to have this extra layer of security for my account since there are a lot of people in my guild getting hacked at the moment. :o

Then keep the PvE and PvP elements separate. For people who don’t like PvP, like myself, we shouldn’t have to put up with people being trolls when we just want to complete the JP to get the kite.

It is true that this starts more fights between players and gets them into the PvP world, and I am sure that this is fun for some people that enjoy PvP. However, people who dislike killing other players really suffer in a case like this.

Just get health regeneration food. That works.

I wasn’t trying to bash anyone from TC; that wasn’t my intention by creating this thread. I was hoping that there would be some other people that were frustrated by the campers in the Obsidian Sanctum so that we could possibly get the instance turned into a non-pvp zone (at least until the end of this release).

I am almost a strict PvE player, so I hate doing anything that has to do with PvP. I made the mistake of getting all the other kites before checking out that this one was in a PvP zone, but I tried to get it anyways since it was the last one I had to collect. I got my 16/16 achievements and I am no longer planning on getting this achievement, which is really disappointing since I put in all the work and and so close to getting it.

To those of you saying that I just want things handed to me because I am lazy and didn’t put in the work for the achievement don’t understand what happened. I finished the JP… I made it to the top. I am within feet of the kite. I put in the work but was denied my reward. How would you all feel if you worked for a week and then the company sent out the paycheck to the wrong address and refused to pay you?

This kite is ridiculous. There were 3 of us from Dragonbrand going up and working together to get the kite and when we made it up to the top we were ganked by 3 people from Tarnished Coast. We were all killed and then they proceeded to jump on our corpses and do other insulting things to us. I decided to wait for someone from Dragonbrand to come by to give me a res, but when someone made it the campers just killed them too. They have been camping there for over an hour now and show no sign of leaving. People just have NO HOPE of completing this meta event when there are campers at the kite… At least just for this event, for one week, everyone should be friendly at this JP. This is ridiculous. I completed what I was supposed to complete and I am literally within feet of the kite, but because someone decided to be a jerk I don’t get to get my Gift of Crystal Quartz? I have 14/16 achievements and am thinking that this is going to be impossible because of campers.

This issue has happened to me several times and it is almost always during WvW. It sounds like it is a guardian skill sound file being repeated over and over. My boyfriend was playing on his computer, and the guardian would attack sometimes and make a noise similar to this pulsating sound. So maybe you guys could check into that??? Him and I also have the same exact computers with all of our drivers up to date, so I don’t know how I am having the problem and not him. It must be something slightly corrupt with our game? No idea… But it is annoying!!!!!
