yagit are you a pldt user? i just asked some pldt users from the PH guild in SOR, and another pldt user from FEAR guild in Kaineng, they said they are experiencing severe lag.
i also visited tipidpc.com and there is already a thread there by pldt users experiencing gaming lag, (its not limited to gw2)
i intend to make a call to pldt tomorrow morning and ask if they are aware of this. sooo wierd for this to happen.
pldt user here, i checked speedtest, but its still downloading 3mb so same speed as always.
this past week, i tried to do tequatly, and i can no longer do it due to severe lag, and i would crash out eventually.
i can still do dungeons, but i can feel the lag, around 180 – 220 fps.
ive been playing gw2 for around 5 months and ive never had any problems with it.
what do you think is the problem?
how do i do this repair?
im thinking its either an update from windows 8 thats causing this severe lag during tequatl, or just too many people playing this holiday or many people buying a copy of gw2.
same with me, but its really terrible when i play tequatl.
what i have discovered though is that i allowed my windows 8 to update last 22 december 2013.
would that have something to do with my troubles?
wvw and dungeons, just minor lag though, still playable. its the tequatl fight that i can no longer play because of lag and eventually crashing out of the game.
i have crashed out of tequatl thrice already (for those of you who dont do tequatly, we go in an overflow and wait for an entire hour for him to come). During the few times i dont crash, i still cant play it because of the severe lag.
maybe it pldt that is having problems? i myself cant do tequatl anymore… but i did note that several players on the TTS teamspeak also were crashing alot these days (december 2013)
i have been doing tequatl the past few months and have had no problems, recently around this month december 2013, i can no longer finish tequatl. i am now experiencing severe lag and most of the time crashing out of the game entirely.
i can still play wvw, and do pve dungeons, but i do notice “minor” lag whereas there as none before december 2013.
i hope its not my computer
i have been doing tequatl these past few months, and i havent had any problems with it.
about a week ago (this december 2013), i can no longer do tequatl because of severe lagging, and eventually crashing.
wvw is still ok, but i have also felt minor lag (im in kaineng server) which was not there before.
can anet help me out?
hi, just for info, our server Kaineng is a bit weak starting 4:00 pm until 2:00 am (server time). If we could just get a couple of guilds to cover this slot, i think we can improve our standings.
thanks for reading
as long as buying guilds for the purpose of improving a server’s chances of winning the league is not prohibited by arenanet, then a server is free to do it.
from the perspective of someone from lower tier servers, i do not really see much difference between a tier 1 server enticing a guild from a lower tier server to transfer to it with promises of “better fights”, “better experience”, etc, and a tier 1 server enticing a guild from a lower tier to transfer to it by paying said guilds with compensation. at the end of the day, what we have are lower tier servers who lose a part of their community to these tier 1 servers.
when will gw2 be back up? its been more than 2 hours since it was brought down for maintenance…
Increased drop rates for ascended crafting mats in wvw maps = people leaving stacked t1 servers = win for everyone
:)
Some of my friends in t1 suggest that you spam queue instead of waiting in queue in order to get in t1 wvw faster, just like what we do when trying to enter a Teq overflow.
Do you think people from SOR will start moving out of that server once week 1 ends, what with their schedule with BG for the upcoming weeks? As well as JQs “easy” schedule. I mean long queues, skill lags and no possibility of placing 1st place…
i actually feel sorry for those who were already in T1 servers before the announcement of the League and the resultant transfers to the T1 servers because of the League.
maybe, Anet can give those newly transferred people an option (a discount on gems or maybe free?) to move out of the T1 servers?
if a free mmo like neverwinter online can have an in-game voice chat albeit limited to a party of 5 people, i dont know why gw2 cannot have that
i decided to stay in kaineng rather than move to a server in the Gold League, and so far i think i have made the right decision. i have been enjoying this wvw league with so many people logging in, both for our server and our opponents and there are just battles everywhere!
the best part… no queues, no skill lag, fewer zergs, and a lot more small skirmishes.
the not so good part, we have been losing more now than before when several of our guilds left the server to move up to the Gold League.
btw, i saw an anet dev playing with us, i think his name was Vox Machina, and he had this red anet mark beside his name. maybe anet can give away “marks” as achievements or sell them. its really cool to have a distinguishing mark beside your name
What about placing limited wvw in-game voice chat, like only for the commander and only those in his squad can hear him.
Also, maybe put a limit on those that can join his squad if the game cant handle too many people having voice chat.
One more thing, have commander tag change color from empty squad to full squad, i.e, 30 guys? So we know which commander we can go to assuming there is more than 1 commander in the map.
I also hope that when edge of mists arrives, anet will put a “soft” cap on people joining wvw maps, my meaning that only 100 people can join a wvw map per server, and any addition to that will need a corresponding player from the 2 other servers.
The “soft” cap will address lag issues and force player transfers to “light” servers, which addresses long queues. Both will also address coverage and server competitiveness issues.
With the in-game voice chat, commanders can now communicate with their squad members, which may lead players to strategize, i.e., defending, ambushes, instead of just zerging around.

look at the bright side brothers, we really did “kill” the dragon and it wont ever be coming back.

has teq appeared today?
