Devs made 2 changes to Engineer with the patch before Season 5. This was for rifle to make it more in line with Hammer. It didn’t do kitten all. They don’t want to upset their precious Abjured, so don’t expect anything anytime soon.
Personally I don’t have a problem with DH/Guardian (I main mesmer). Nor do I have any problem with any other class. I agree that the classes are terribly unbalanced, but do not have knowledge of all classes to give any constructive feedback on how to fix that.
What I do have problem with, like many others, is class stacking. Two or more of any class can make a match problematic. Truly don’t understand why the same conditions for pro league aren’t applied in Ranked.
Leave Unranked and Hotjoin as they are, but when changes are made to pro league they should automatically be applied in ranked.
DH’s are the Sith Sorcerer’s of SWTOR (at launch). All the morons who played them said they are perfectly fine. My friend creates one, does pvp matches in only underwear and gets top stats across the board. The skill level required for them was laughable in very similar ways I see with DH’s now. This is why there are so many, it’s not they maybe OP (I think they are slightly). It is the fact any joe smuck can play them with their eyes closed and this is exactly what is happening. They are too easy to play and have too greater reward for doing so.
Look for me in game, if you’re good you’ll get a present. If you’re naughty….I’ll send Krampus after you!
Maybe you need to adapt your build instead of asking for a nerf? I mean, yeah conditions are a pain in the kitten sometimes, but that’s not because they are op, probably just because you have no condi removal and running a zerker build
I have condition removal and no I don’t use zerker build. I love your assumption though that you think I need to “git gud”. I’m not saying they should nerf them into the ground (like Rev), I’m saying they should be toned down a bit because that’s all you see in the game pretty much. Let me guess you’re a Warrior?
Better yet limit the games to only 2 of a class per team maximum. I’m sick of seeing this crap as well.
Want to know what all the FotM / OP classes have in common? They all use heavy conditions to the point of utter ridiculousness…Necros, Ele, DH, and Warrior are the culprits here. If there wasn’t a capture point system then I would be alright with it, but seriously all you have to do is just spam everything on the center of the point it’s stupid.
If conditions do not get reduced in damage then you should make condition clearing more effective. An example, the Engineer’s purge gyro should remove 4 every 3 seconds instead of the 2. Thrown elixirs should remove 2 instead of 1.
Conditions are supposed to be a DoT not burst which they pretty much are these days. Do this and maybe we’ll actually have some build diversity again. There is a reason why you see an average of 2-3 DH in almost every game and sometimes even 4-5.
We are discussing this internally.
You gonna also discuss how it’s obvious all your streamers, pro players and developers are taking all the top spots with multiple alts?
That is an interesting suggestion. Who else would you like to see as returning heroes in stronghold?
How about before more heroes add more maps to Stronghold? It’s a cool game mode but yet like Deathmatch has only 1 map….
More like Spring Cleaning (delete game) 2016.
Shorter seasons aren’t the solution to what you are asking for; a true MMR system is.
The division system doesn’t allow for enough regression, aka, you can’t lose Divisions. At the end of the day, it’s just another reward track, with the catch that only only progress if you win more than you lose.
What the game really needs is a true MMR ranking system for the competitive players with exclusive, non-advantageous rewarding for prestigious rating/tier achievements, with a secondary grind based reward system that provides the incentive it needs to in order to retain a casual community and any sort of semblance of player population (aka, you want people to keep playing, and new players to get into PvP, and encourage them to continue playing).
Of course, this is highly unlikely, and what ANet will end up doing is doubling down on their current system, which only gives pieces of what each segment of the player population wants; leaving everybody dissatisfied.
I agree, divisions need to lose ranks, maybe not amber or emerald, but the further you go into the ranks yes. It’s been apparent this season, ruby and diamond players who absolutely are complete trash, they should be back in sapphire, that should be the average, the last 3 tiers should be about more competitive players. I’ve stopped pvping in this game (i’ve stopped playing it actually all together), but I do hope this changes. Most ladder style systems have you drop divisions if you suck enough. Same thing should happen in this game.
They aren’t long at all, in fact I think they are just fine. What’s not right is the crappy “balancing” and lack there of afterwards which results in further unbalancing cause the players have given up since they are fed up with garbage.
