I had np staying on the mount whilst looking at world map, hero panel, just not when i talk to npcs.

That’s good to hear but unfortunately I cannot do any of that while mounted.

Massive FPS drop w/GTX 1080 since 8/9/17

reading your post , I would reinstall the driver all together, by uninstalling the current one rebooting and then installing a new driver , if that isn’t working check and monitor
your cpu and gpu temperatures, might be getting hot and nerfing the clock speeds to cool down , if that’s the case you have a cooling problem ,, not getting enough air
and/or if your running a AIO liquid cooler , check the radiator for dust and all that,
now if that’s not the issue , check and make sure your cpu overclock is still running @speed and you aren’t noticing any instabilities I’m not really an over clocker but that’s the next thing i would check. also a dieing harddrive or SSD will cause a fps drop too. lots of things to check and troubleshoot.

Thanks so much for your reply. I download this CAM program and it reads my CPU is at 95 degrees Celsius. I Googled the ideal temp and that is pretty high. I believe I do have a liquid cooling system. I’ll take off the side of my tower and spray to to get the dust our and make sure the fans are cleaned off. I’ll report back after I do that.

Edit: I took off both sides of the tower, sprayed it with a can. I then turned the PC back on and launched GW2. My FPS is back to normal although I didn’t see any dust but it’s working as usual. The CPU temp remains around 98 decrees Celsius when playing GW2. Should I be concerned about that? If so, should I take it to a PC repair place who should to do what exactly? I really appreciate the help from this community. Thank you so much!

Edit 2: My FPS dropped it bit. It’s down to 30-60. It did improve by what I did earlier but it’s not back to what it was, 60+.

Massive FPS drop w/GTX 1080 since 8/9/17

Less than one hour ago (6:30pm CST) I logged in to GW2 for the first time today and noticed there was a HUGE drop in my FPS. I’m not a massive tech person but I know a little. I have a GTX 1080 with Intel® Core™ i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz. Up until today my FPS would be over 100, but lately I maxed it to 60. After logging in today my FPS is 25-40. First thing I did was update the driver as there was one for the GTX 1080. I then rebooted the computer; logged back in to GW2 and I still have the low FPS issue. I logged in to another game (Diablo 3) and noticed there was a FPS drop which leads me to believe the issue is with my computer. So, what else could it be? I run all my games at max settings and have never had an issue with this computer. It’s a ibuypower. I appreciate any and all help.

Immediate access to new elite spec?

So, do we get access to the new elite spec when PoF is launched or will we have to work for it (to put it bluntly) like in HoT? I know many would have liked to have access to the elite spec when they started playing HoT; when they started their adventure in the jungle while exploring the unknown. I don’t know if the answer is known, and if not, then hopefully we will find out this weekend.

I went back in the graphic settings and changed Shadows from High to Low and the flickering stopped. Anyone know why on High it flickers?

When playing sometimes my graphics look strange, they flicker. I hope that is the right term. This happens in the open world and in fractals. And it seems to happen in the same locations. For example, I’m in Frostgorge Sound and in this one area the graphics spaz out. I’ve logged out multiple times and the issue persists. I’ve went to another area in FG and then came back to the same area I was having the graphic issue with, and the issue remains. The picture doesn’t do it justice. If you look real close above the ice sickles you’ll see grayish squares and rectangles. It’s much more than that. They flicker like crazy. Also going from light to dark. Sometimes there will be large rectangles and squares going crazy.

I only encounter this issue in GW2. When browsing the web or watching a Youtube video, I do not encounter this issue. I’ve spent about four hours researching this. I’ve done the “-repair” in the GW2 shorcut. I tried adjusting my graphic settings. I’m using a GTX 1080 card. I play on my flatscreen tv. Also, I got this computer a couple weeks ago. This is my third new computer. All three were different make and models. The first two had the same graphic issue (hence why I returned them). How can I fix this issue? This issue is really bothersome and any advice/tips are welcomed. Thank you.

It has to do with minions. Have no minions present when doing this part of the story. I was able to complete this part on my necro w/o minions. A post was made in the bug forum and Anet is investigating it.

A Meeting of Ministers - Progress Halted

A player read my forum post and whispered me stating he was experiencing the same issue. He played the story again without minions and he was able to progress. I did the same thing and I too was able to progress.

I remember on my three previous attempts Queen Jennah would walk five feet, stop, and then draw her swords. It almost makes me think she felt my minions were the enemy. She did not attack them but she did draw her swords.

So, the workaround for necros is not to use minions during this part of the story. Hopefully the issue will not continue in the later parts of the story.

For objective: A Meeting of Ministers

I killed the three mobs. I then went to Queen Jennah to present the evidence. A couple npcs were next to her. Queen Jennah said “can I talk with you privately”. The couple npcs walked away. Queen Jennah walked 5 feet then stopped. I went to her and pressed F to speak with her and nothing happened.

I have made three attempts to complete this on my necro. First, I spoke with all five optional npcs. The second and third attempt I spoke with none of the optional npcs.

This is my second character trying to bring to the new zone. My first character, ranger, I successfully made it to the new zone. I encountered no issues with him but on my necro I cannot move on.

I have attempted twice to get this MP.

The first time I arrived and no boss was there and no platform to stand on to get MP.

The second time the boss was up and had at least 50% HP when I arrived. We killed him and still no platform appeared.

I was reading that once the construct is dead a platform will appear beneath the mastery to obtain the point. I just did this a moment ago. We killed the construct but a platform did not appear. I tried accessing the MP from the nearby rocks but was not able to.

Should I be doing something differently?

Social Awkwardness - Can this be removed?

I made a necro for high lever fractals and since she’s been geared for it I have been taking her. With the changes to make power builds on par with condi builds, I took my power druid in to do my daily fractals tonight. Right now I cannot conclude if the change was meaningful. I will continue testing but I did do the Mai Trin on my druid. I healed when needed, but every time I went to stand near the boss everyone’s health would drop so I continued to heal but that lasts only so long. It’s not like I am on my resto shaman where I can continuously heal.

Side note, Toxic Trails with Adrenaline Rush owned me in my Cliffside daily tonight. I was melee like normal on my druid and my health dropped to 1-2k in a second. Cliffside feels different and not in a good way. From now on it’s range for me.

One more side note, I really do appreciate Anet trying to make power builds on par with condi builds. Very welcomed change! Go Anet!

Fractal Instability

Social Awkwardness: Nearby allies receive Agony while you are fighting opponents.

What value is there in having this in fractals? To break the “stacking” game? Stacking in some encounters is very useful others not so much. For example where some sort of stacking is helpful is Mai Trin. Now, we are already in melee range which is more challenging than range. We already have various obstacles including her nasty swing attack, the aoe’s coming at us, and now a bunny and a tentacle. Then on top of that is Social Awkwardness which discourages players being close together and the group needs to be close together near Mai Trin so the electro shots hit her.

Often times stacking is done in melee range. Melee already has enough punishment. There have been many posts stating melee in high level fractals is very punishing vs range. Why punish melee even more?

This applies to contacts and your status.

Manually enter your status with a limited amount of characters of course. For example, “About to run fractals-anyone welcome”, “T4 Dailies”, “AB Farm”, “HoT HP Run”.

When you update your status that is shared with your followers. And so if any of your followers are interested they can message you to join you.

Thanks for the explanation.

It looks like the ability to chill your foe + Deathly Chill is one aspect that makes this trait line better. As far as I can tell, we have two abilities that chill, #4 dagger with a 18 second CD and Reaper Shroud #5 with a 30 second CD. I would expect the CDs to be shorter to justify in choosing Reaper.

You also mentioned Reaper Shroud #5 then #4 is good to use. I do agree, #2 is nice when you need to get out of those oh shoot moments.

Is using Reaper over any other trait line a significant advantage or is it a minor/small boost in our performance (damage or mobility)?

And this is from a PVE perspective.

I began playing Necro recently and I run the meta Viper Horror build for my high fractal dailies. I have a question. I have Googled my question but did not find my answer.

I am trying to understand why Reaper is part of the meta build. Is it because of Decimate Defenses? Reaper grants the ability to wield a GS which is power based so why is Reaper part of the meta condi build?

Again, I just want to understand why I am choosing this trait line over others. I would like to go a little support with Blood Magic. I run pugs exclusively. If I ran with a static group that would be different but with pugs, well, you get a little bit of everything.

That is a good question.

You only get skill points when doing Hero Points. When working on the elite specialization most get the HPs in the HoT maps. Each HP gives 10 skill points so you only need 25 HPs which is just over 2 maps of HPs so you’ll need to do a few in TD (3rd map) to get the 250 (25 HPs) skill points needed to unlock your elite spec.

Migraine Achievement

I finally decided to get all the achievements in the HoT story so I can get the mastery points and the ascended reward. Act 1, done. Act 2, done. Act 3, well, I put together a group and got it done. Act 4…..well…

I have two achievement left for Act 4, Migraine and Flights of Fancy. I am more concerned with Migraine. I have made 4 attempts, spent over 8 hours and still no success yet. It seems players have the most difficulty at the Eir fight and I understand why. I know how the fights work but I cannot find a pug to complete the run successfully. I’ve asked my guild no no takers. I’ve joined 4 pugs and no success.

I am at the point where, I feel if I attempt it again, I would rather not play the game. It is very discouraging to make so many attempts and know that you can do it but you need to rely on others to get it done.

I thought what else is there for me to do to get this achievement. I noticed in LFG groups are selling Migraine for 150 gold. I understand why they are doing it. But, it does not feel right if I bought the achievement. I mean, I would feel guilt and like I did something wrong, it just doesn’t feel right. So I am determined to find a group and complete the darn thing.

Man I want the two remaining achievements for the MP, for completionist in me and for the ascended amulet for my necro. It has been such a difficult and frustrating time trying to get this achievement. I am trying to be positive and look on the bright side of things, that Act 1-3 are done, now, just Act 4.

Fractals T3 and Up

I finally got in to T4 and so far the runs for the most part have been smooth. I use to play melee on my ele and I still do for T1 and T2. Starting in T3 I went range because the mobs and bosses hit so hard. With 12K health I go down easily. Yes, I dodge but you cannot avoid single attack, aoe, mobs 20 feet away shooting you and such. Side note and I mean no disrespect to Anet, but I feel having mobs hit real hard is a cheap mechanic to make the fractal more challenging. Challenge should translate to an added, unique mechanic to the boss fight or maybe a mini puzzle of some sorts to solve, quick of course.

How do ele’s stay alive in T4 fractal pugs? I pug exclusively. Side note, I am still searching for a guild that runs fractals regularly.

I feel like I should bring a necro in lieu of my ele, warrior, or druid. I prefer to play the last three I mentioned but I feel I would do a disservice if I continue to not bring a necro. Every time I run with a necro especially two or more the runs feel more smooth and the mobs/bosses go down quicker. Am I feeling this way for no reason? Bring an ele, warrior, or druid would be totally fine? This is focused on T4 fractals.

Since I am doing group content I want my focus to be on my group and supporting them every way I can and contributing to the success of the run. So on my ele when the group needs a heal I switch to water and heal then back to fire. I switch to earth and air when cc is needed. I enjoy my ele because I can be full dps but still heal as well.

Would it be really okay if I went marauder on armor and weapons for a little more health or stick with all berserker and try to improve? I feel I do a pretty good job avoiding as much as possible but there comes a time with endurance is depleted and I’ve already used #4 fire staff to get out of the bad stuff.

What have other ele’s experienced running T4 fractals? Especially in pugs. How do you stay alive? Or is it inevitable and an ele will always go down?

I can see it. A player complains they are tired of farming the shortest fractal so Anet decides to not make it the shortest fractal and make it a 20 minute run.

The problem is, that people don’t know how to play matador with Bloomhunger. That’s it.

In every group I have been in, I have never gone down, yet I have seen at least 3 other people constantly down, simply because they don’t step out of the way/ dodge out of the way of Bloomhunger’s very obvious attacks. The only challenging thing about the fight is that if you don’t have a stun break, if Bloomhunger manages to knock you down, it pretty much is able to combo you until you are completely downed.

However, that can be completely avoided, by simply dodging.

I personally think that new Snowblind is more challenging because of how fast the Shaman attacks during the last phase. He focuses on one player and with his rate of attack, unless you have the other 4 constantly picking you up, you really can’t avoid his onslaught.

This has been my exact experience. I really do enjoy the new Swamp. I dodge his attacks, it’s easy by going range. On my fire ele it’s not problem. But then I see melee and even range players going down. Melee players go down because of his fist pounding. Both melee and range go down because they don’t dodge his stampede.

Then I am left alone so I leave to get ooc. Everyone is back up and we give it another go. And guess what? It happens all over again, two more times. After three attempts and I am the last one alive I leave. This is from a T1 thru T3 experience.

And then I get a group that actually knows what to do and we complete the run in one go.

To comment about Snowblind, I agree the final boss when he is a cat is nasty. He eats my fire ele up. I can most of the time get away from his attacks but being the squishy I am, I do go down from time to time.

Fractals T3 and Up

It seems T3 is where players learn if their build and strat work. I ran T3 swamp, got to the whisps and couple people didn’t know what to do which caused the group to wipe. I hope in T4 most players understand the mechanics of every fight and are using proper builds too.

I considered running Mai Trin to get my personal fractal level up so I can run T4. First I would need to find someone willing to open. I may make a LFG looking to spam 75 but need opener.

Thanks again everyone. I suppose I was looking for encouragement to get through T3 as it has been a rough ride.

Fractals T3 and Up

A few months ago I finally started doing fractals and it is unfortunate I waited so long. They are a blast and refreshing from doing dungeons.

Now I’m in T3 and I could do T4 but I think to myself, why bother even going to T4? This is purely from a pugs point of view. T1 and T2 were simple with pugs. Yea, sometimes you’ll encounter a hiccup but for the most part it’s simple.

Now pugging in T3, that is a different story. At least half of my runs I don’t complete in T3. I am running the meta ele fire staff build/gear/weapons/trinkets. I encounter other players that are not running a meta build and that is fine. I am in a pug so I have no expectations and the LFG did not make any requirements, but I am finding maybe I should start joining a group with more experienced players for T3 and up.

As an example, I ran Molten Boss T3 today. 2 druids with staff and spamming #1. 2 warriors with no banners and then me the fire elementalist with the staff. The champion fight is dragging on and on and on and I think to myself, we may not have enough dps for this. And I may be missing something here but I felt we were not going to make it. Again, it was a pug with no requirements in LFG so it is what it is. I am not upset or anything. Just making an observation.

Has anyone else experienced T3 and up to be really difficult with random pugs? As a side note, I am looking for a guild that runs fractals. I am a casual player but I do like to perform my best and so I do. With these higher fractals it seems incredibly difficult to complete the runs with random pugs. And maybe this is where it ends with random pugs for me. If I want to successfully complete T3 and up I may need to specify in LFG certain requirements or join a guild that runs fractals.

I am only sharing this to learn what others have experienced. Like I said, T1 and T2 no problem, but T3, ouch. What has your experience been like?

I do not enjoy adventures at all. I am only doing them for the mastery points. I am not good at them. I just want to get silver or gold on this for the mastery point.

Attempt after attempt I am slowly getting better then the event is disabled. An event is now priority and I can no longer run the adventure. It is discouraging and frustrating. It feels like the past minutes/hours I just spent feels invalidated. I focused so hard on doing something I do not enjoy for this mastery point and then the game prevents me from accomplishing something. It really does feel like I wasted my time.

I figured it out. Turns out, when you are connected to the Unstable Bloodstone Shard there is a red beam between you and it. That beam must come in contact with the elemental in order to destroy their shield.

I am not progressing through the story.

“Defeat the bloodstone elementals”

The two bloodstone elementals need to be destroyed before one can progress. They have shields which make them immune to damage. In order to remove shields you need to destroy the Unstable Bloodstone Shard, next to the elemental. When the shard is destroyed the shield on the elemental should be no more and you can then damage and kill the elemental.

Destroying the Unstable Bloodstone does not always destroy the shield. My first attempt at this, I destroyed both Unstable Bloodstone Shards yet the shields on the elementals remained on. So I logged out to character select screen and entered the game. I replayed this “Defeat the bloodstone elementals” again. I destroyed the first Unstable Bloodstone Shard but the shield on the elemental remained on.

So I went to the second elemental, destroyed his Unstable Bloodstone Shard and finally his shield dropped. I was able to kill him. I went back to the first elemental and his Unstable Bloodstone Shard. I destroyed it but his shield remained on.

I’m logging out a third time and will attempt this once more.

Full zerker sounds like a waste of the class’s full potential. You can heal and add some nasty burning as a cherry on top so at least four ascended celestial armor pieces and an ascended celestial trinket should be sought with the rest being marauder or even ‘zerker (power damage goes farther on ele in general but Viper’s still has some good power damage as well as increases burning duration and damage).

I do not know if this will make a difference, but this is from a PVE perspective. I was relying on Metabattle which suggests berserker for fractals so I’ve been using the Fresh Air DPS build and the Staff DPS build for fractals, dungeons and open world content. Based on my limited experience it has been working out well so far.

I have two warriors, two rangers, a guardian and a revevant. I finally made an ele and my mind is blown away.

I always see them perform well in dungeons. I’m in full zerker gear taking down champs that I wasn’t able to on my other characters. I’m learning the benefits of each attunement and swapping between them when necessary.

The dps is strong. It is quite a fun profession. It’s unfortunate I waited so long before trying one.

To the OP. You seem to want a build that is using ice themed skills like Ice Shards and actual skills which include a chill condition as your main way of damage dealing? You talk about using three elements which makes me wonder if you are talking about traits or about attunement usage.
Either way, scepter would be your weapon of choice. Which is, sadly, far inferior to the other weapon choices you could use. You will not get any love from people in dungeon, fractals and especially raids with such a build.

My best advice would be to play your elementalist to the fullest. That includes proper attunement rotations and swapping depending on what the situation requires (CC, healing, slow effects, etc). It also means using water and ice in way they are meant to be used: to apply regen, slow, heal, etc.
Elementalists are elementalists in the end and not some type of fire or ice mages.

Hey iczek,
you can run in your Waterfield (WH 5) and use Water 3 Blast Finisher and Earth 4 after that. You will get two additional Area Heals, Protection and Magnetic Aura from it. You should be full Heal again and also have more sustain for some time.
If you need even more Heal you can start with Water 4 before the combo.
There are more Blast Finishers that can work well like Afterblast (Earth Shoud).

Dagger/Warhorn is not that great in breaking Breakbars. You can use Air 4 and Water 4. If you really need to be the one that works at the bar you can use Tornado and skill 3 on CD. But there are other classses that are better in this. We are supposed to deal the highest damage^^

About the break bar, I was concerned others would expect me to greatly contribute to breaking it. It sounds like the only expection for the ele is great dps which I should be able to do with my berserker gear.

People do expect you to contribute to taking off a big chunk of the break bar. Tidal Shard (Warhorn Water 4) and Cyclone (Warhorn Air 4) are perfect for it. You will also be able to chill with Frozen Burst (Dagger Water 3) and immobilize with Magnetic Grasp (Dagger Earth 3). You might be required to use Conjure Frost Bow (Utility) which will allow you and another person who picks up the second bow to use Deep Freeze (Frost Bow 5) which is one of the most powerful CC skills in the game.

Honestly, it would be a huge waste for you not to focus on CC with such a long list of powerful skills.

Thanks for the feedback, Henry. It’s confusing when one player implies to focus on dps and not worry about cc and another states to do both dps and cc. I’m willing to do both. I want to play my ele to the fullest.

Thanks for sharing the cc tips. I’ll save this page for future use. I am familiar with frost bow, but should that be slotted in dungeon runs? I was using the Fractal Fresh Air dps build which doesn’t have it slotted.

Hey iczek,
you can run in your Waterfield (WH 5) and use Water 3 Blast Finisher and Earth 4 after that. You will get two additional Area Heals, Protection and Magnetic Aura from it. You should be full Heal again and also have more sustain for some time.
If you need even more Heal you can start with Water 4 before the combo.
There are more Blast Finishers that can work well like Afterblast (Earth Shoud).

So I swapped out my off hand dagger for a warhorn and swapped out the fire line for water and boy was it fun. There were two of us fighting a champ and when we got low on health I swapped to water and, hit 5 then 4 and gave us regen.

I was using warhorn 4 to break the champ’s bar, slowly. It was a good time.

Hey iczek.
The thing with the Metabattle Build is that it is meant for Dungeons, Fractals or even for Raids. So not really only for Open World PvE. It works great there too, but you can adjust the build for Open World.
Fire is taken for the best DPS Rotation.
When you use Fire Traitline, the CD from Dagger 3 (Burning Speed) is reduced to 10 Seconds and you can use it everytime after you finished Air Overload. Also Wildfire is reduced to 20 Seconds and can be used every second Rotation. That is the best DPS Rotation.
Fire is pure Damage increase.
Arcane Traitline is a Damage loss and is only taken if you have high boon uptime. Mostly with a good Mesmer and Rev in your Team for Raids. But with the Fresh Air Dagger/X Rotation there are normaly not many Boons up so you loose even more Damage.
If you struggle to survive at the start wit Ele, i would take Water over Fire and use something like 2,3,2. You still have good Damage but also your Heals are much more often Available. Only swapping to Water gives you 1.3k Healing.
I dont like Earth in PvE. The Defens is great but the Damage decrease is just to high for my taste.

About the Warhorn.
It gives you so much more then Dagger Offhand. Reflect, Waterfield, High DPS (Lightning Orb/Wildfire).
Dagger is great for comboing your Firefileds, but because of Air Overload (big Lightning Field) it is not that easy to keep up the Damage and also blast your Firefields.

Yes, your explanation helped. I want to understand what combos to use and what they do. I googled that and came up with a wiki page of ele combos but it didn’t explain in what order to use them and what effect they had. Again, I really want to understand how to play an ele effectively and I believe in order to do that learning the combos is a big part.

I believe once I fully understand the combos it will greatly improve my survivablity and be a great asset to my group in dungeons and fractals(once I start doing them more). I don’t want to take the easy, less effective way out and camp fire staff or dagger air but switching through the different attunements when the situation calls for it.

Is there a guide or site that explains the different combos and how to use them? I did watch a video of fury and might stacking. That will take me some time to master. But are there others sites for combos? Also, when using staff and dagger what skills can I use break the “break bar”?

1. I never felt the need to test out dagger with my tempest. I am unsure how much of a dps lost Ring of fire/Fire Grab is compared to Lightning Orb/Wildfire. Since those are the main dps skills you tend to use for your offhand in pve setting.

2. Fire traits add more dps overall than Arcane. Burning rage 10% to burning targets, Burning precision 33% chance to burn enemy on crit, Pyromancers training 10% dmg in fire. In arcane Bountiful power is the only reliable dps boost and it add 2% dmg per boon.

Simple: NO
Water or like you call it, Ice. Is not supposed to be the DPS Element. Staff = Fire, Dagger = Air, Scepter = Fire/Air
What you try to build is a theme build. I understand that, but in Dungeons, Fractals and Raids you are just giving your team a Handicap. For Roleplay or stuff like that it could be fun. But if you really want to play the three named parts of PvE, be preparred to get flamed a lot. Elementalists have there Role and that is for most parts high DPS. You can adapt to all hitboxes and can play all weapons, aslong you use them right. If you try to be something that you are not supposed to be, people will get mad at you. And you cant blame them for that. We all are playing for Success and nobody wants to get handicaped.

Ice isn’t for roleplay, it has cc and dps, I’ve played plenty of rpgs with these uses, and if you read jy other replies you would see I said nothing about only using ice, also yes you can blame them if you aren’t joining meta groups, plenty of people use their own builds, that is why we have an lf g tool to type stuff out for people to see.

If you aren’t using Fire in some way, you’re going to have a very hard time getting people to accept your definition of what you are considering a DPS build. Even if you were Fire and Water, and swapping elements, you’re not a very effective DPS build.

Obviously, you’re interested in using water, which is fine, but just be aware of how it’s used and what it’s strengths are.

I am new to elementalist and I was reading on metabattle that air is a good dps build. I know it uses the fire trait line but for the most part you’ll be in air. So to say, if you’re not in fire then you’re not dps, is that not correct? Again, I’m new to the profession so still figuring it out.

Currently I’m using the Fresh Air DPS build in dungeons and for map completion. I prefer melee and find using a dagger is a lot of fun.

To Rev or Not to Rev

A couple days ago I logged in for the first time in a while and tested the level 80 boost option for the Rev in Silverwaste. It was fun. I have two warriors and a guardian and so the rev feels like a mixture of both those classes.

After playing in Silverwaste for a hour I boosted the guy to 80 and played in the first two HoT zones. That was a challenge, as expected since the zones in HoT are more challenging than Central Tyria but it was a good challenge. I was learning how to play offensively and defensively. And before I knew it I was performing better on my Rev than my warrior and guardian. I was taking down mobs a little faster and my survivability was greater too. I fought most of the time in melee with the occasional range.

I then unlocked the Elite specialization and enjoyed the profession even more. I feel like a true dps and support player at the same time. The elite specialization is great. My favorite professions are the ranger and warrior. The rev may take the #1 spot now.

From a PVE perspective, yes, I would recommend it.

While doing the Winter Wonderland JP it occasionally resets while doing the JP. I’m be jumping the snowflakes and it resets. I did not miss a jump or anything. It just resets and places me back at the beginning.

Also, it is quite challenging to complete the JP when the HUGE box appears showing everyone’s score. That also happened to me while in mid jump, the HUGE score box just appeared on my screen therefore causing me to fall to my death.

I would like to get away from the one hander sword/zerker set up.

I am very interested in a condition build for PVE. I’ve been doing a lot of research on condition builds. MetaBattle suggests to use Viper gear with Sinister accessories. I was reading in another form (can’t remember which one) that using all Viper would be best to extend the duration of conditions. MetaBattle also suggested using veggie pizza to extend the condition duration, maybe that’s why they suggested Sinister accessories.

If one does not use food then would it be best to run all Viper including gear, weapon, and accessories? I want to make an informed decision before I begin crafting everything.
