Whenever I open one of the guild upgrade windows in the guild hall and then open the regular guild window, my game client crashes. I’m on the Mac client, so I just discovered this after the previous Mac bug was fixed.

On the Mac client, I can’t interact with any of the guild hall related screens, including making donations in the treasury, clicking to see details of upgrade options, or approving upgrades.

We can only win one mini llama per week, but when does the week for mini llamas reset? If I play in a Saturday tournament and then a Monday tournament two days later, do those count as the same week or as two separate weeks?

Kills in Dry Top aren’t being counted as progress toward daily Maguuma killer. The region is very obviously in Maguuma, so I assume this is a bug or oversight.

Does anyone with more technical expertise than me know how long the process of re-issuing certificates is generally expected to take?

According to the world boss schedule posted by ArenaNet and mirrored by many others, the Jungle Wurm in Caledon Forest spawns at 6:15am, 7:15am, and 8:15am server time. This doesn’t make sense, however, as the four starter zone bosses (Fire Elemental, Jungle Wurm, Shadow Behemoth, and Svanir Shaman aka Maw) are on a two-hour rotation, with one starting each half hour. Today, at 7:15am server, I went to Caledon Forest, and I can confirm that the Jungle Wurm did not spawn. I then swapped to an alt in Wayfarer Foothills, and I can confirm that the Svanir Shaman was indeed there.

The workaround worked for me, eventually. I had to restart enough times that I was pretty sure it hadn’t worked. So don’t give up if you’ve already restarted four times and it’s doing nothing…

Also, try clicking around to different tabs. At first, only some of the tabs were loading for me and not others, but now they all work.

Will we miss the opportunity to buy the minstrel finisher?

I went back to check again just now, and the gem store is once again not charging me tax. So bizarre.

I understand that the $10 for 800 gems price doesn’t include sales tax. My question is why I would not be charged sales tax yesterday but be charged it today.

Lankybrit, I read it as that they will be starting with maps that currently average below some unspecified population threshold and implementing megaservers full time on those maps. However, when I reread it, I could see your interpretation as a possibility also, so I hope they will clarify which it will be.

Please give us a list of which “low-population” maps will now be included with the initial release.

By the way, I live in New York City, and I’m assuming that’s relevant because a friend in Massachusetts checked for me and was not seeing tax being charged in the gem store.

Yesterday, I bought 800 gems through the Black Lion Trading Company for $10. Today, I tried to do the same thing, but it wants to charge me $10.89 instead. Is anyone else seeing this? Did tax mysteriously get added overnight?

I kill Tequatl with Jade Quarry at daily reset everyday. We’re not all in the same guild. Most of us aren’t on each other’s friends lists. We don’t play together the rest of the day. But every single day, without fail, we come together as a server and coordinate this kill. What will be our options after these changes take effect? Move the kill two hours later, when it will be too late for many regulars, and hope we all get in the same new map? Create a guild now (I don’t even have a guild slot available) and spend many months farming influence and merits and building upgrades so that we will eventually be able to unlock Tequatl kills at a time of our choosing? Ask the people who take part in this, many of whom may only belong to small guilds or to guilds that don’t have the influence/upgrades/build queue spots/interest available to volunteer to “sponsor” these kills on a schedule and hope that there doesn’t come a day when no guild has it ready? I am dismayed at today’s announcements because I can’t see a way that they won’t fracture our community.

I’m a complete novice at all this but with some help from Google, I managed to automate this a bit by taking the following steps:

1. Launch the Automator application.
2. Create a new document, with “Application” as the document type.
3. (Search for and) Double-click “Run Shell Script.”
4. Replace “cat” in the window that pops up with the command above.
5. Save and run!

Hi y’all. I belong to a small, tight-knit PvX guild that I love and with whom I share a long history, but its activity levels are at the point where it’s almost impossible to round up five people to do a dungeon. I’m looking for a larger, more active guild to play PvE group content with, while still being able to hang out with the people in my current guild when they’re around.

Because of this, I can’t join your guild if you have a 100% rep requirement. I’m looking for a group that would be okay with me repping 50-75% of the time, while being understanding if I run off for a night to spend time with my current guild or to farm influence for the storage guild I share with a friend.

I’m based on Jade Quarry and am only open to considering guilds that are also on Jade Quarry. So those are my two non-negotiables: can’t have a 100% rep requirement, must be on JQ.

I have a level 80 character of every profession, but I feel like I’m still learning how to play most of them. I do my PvE dailies almost every day, my PvP dailies at least half the time, and my WvW dailies once in a while. I make the world boss rounds on a regular basis, and yes, I have a color-coded spreadsheet for it, because I’m a dork that way. I really enjoy dungeons and fractals, although I’m pretty new to them: I got my Dungeon Master title in the last couple of weeks, after the LFG tool became available, and I haven’t been to a fractal higher than level 6, although I would like to. I do all the living world content I can, which means I couldn’t kill Liadri, not for lack of trying, but my elementalist conjured hundreds of ice bows to help kill Tequatl. I once organized a diving goggles tour of the world for my guild. I have a reputation for falling to my death off of cliffs and jumping puzzles, but I’ll wear the “Honors in Applied Jumping” title while I do it. It’s funny, okay?

If you are a friendly, close-knit, mature-but-silly, tolerant, fun-loving group that I can have adventures like these with, please get in touch. I’d love to be able to do dungeons and fractals regularly and have people to do them with. I’d love to do silly guild outings for lulz. Bonus points if you run guild missions, but it’s fine if you don’t, as long as you don’t mind me repping elsewhere to do them. I like horrible puns but I don’t put up with hate speech. I’m happy to teach you what I know, show you around places I’ve been, and keep your low level character company as you map explore, and I hope you’ll do the same in return.

Salvaged 5 exotics with a black lion salvage kit, got 0 dark matter.

I just noticed that the audio log collectors are no longer in Wayfarer Foothills (haven’t checked any of the other zones). Is this intentional? I found a sonic periscope wreckage site and was still able to pick up an audio log, but now it seems that there’s nowhere to turn it in.

Just opened on Jade Quarry, 2:38pm U.S. eastern time.

Oh, and also, if you finish heart quests, don’t forget to take the money from the mail!

Guild Research, WvW siege deployment, waypoint travel, repairs and character gear are the main money sinks right now.

Guild Research
I don’t know if you’ve gotten there yet, but if your guild has the new guild bounty training missions available, they might be a good source of influence for you.

WvW Seige
Granted I don’t deploy much seige when I play WvW, but what seige I do have is from the jump puzzles. I’m the world’s worst jumper, too, but I often find friendly mesmers who’re willing to give me a portal to the chest.

Waypoint Travel
Take the Heart of the Mists -> Lion’s Arch -> nearest capitol city -> run or waypoint from there path as much as possible. If you’ve finished the Battle of Fort Trinity personal story, you can also run out from the southern exit of Lion’s Arch to the Chantry of Secrets and take the Asuran gate there to be closer to some areas of the world. The Asuran gate from Divinity’s Reach to Ebonhawke is another option.

In addition, if the only reason you would be waypointing is to get to the trading post, your bank, or a merchant, you can enter your server’s home borderlands in WvW, use the TP/crafting stations (bank)/merchant there, and then log out to your character select screen. Log in again as that character, and you’ll be back where you were, at no cost. Obviously don’t do this when there’s a queue for WvW.

Repairs
I try to avoid repairing my armor as much as possible until I hit level 80 on a character and buy level 80 armor for that character. Until then, it can often be cheaper to sell the broken armor and replace it by buying new armor on the TP (or putting on armor you’ve gotten as drops or as rewards for completing portions of your personal story).

Character Gear
You can get level 80 exotic armor from karma vendors in Orr for 42000 karma each. If you do your dailies regularly, this is pretty affordable by using some of the jugs of liquid karma you get as a reward. (Make sure to use some karma boosts, like finding a karma banner in Lion’s Arch or eating ice cream, when you open them to maximize the karma you get from them.) You can also buy level 80 exotic armor using badges of honor, if you play a decent amount of WvW.

For what it’s worth, I’m having the same problem as the rest of you, but I was able to get into WvW by first guesting on another server, and then entering WvW from there. I’m not sure this is supposed to work, but I’m in our EB right now, so…

P.S. At least our tick doesn’t seem to be suffering!

Okay, so I just guested to another server to get into the game, opened up the WvW screen, and was able to enter EB successfully. It appears to be the JQ/BG/SoR EB, at least based on the names of things on the map, but when I go to my guild screen, I still look like I’m guesting (a lot of other people’s locations are listed as Jade Quarry). This is really weird…

Also on JQ, also having this problem. Most of my characters are parked in Lion’s Arch, but I tried to enter the game with one in the Grove and got the same error, so I don’t think it’s related to trying to enter a specific zone.

Currently open on Jade Quarry, although I’m not sure how long it’s been open for.

A friend I invited for the free trial is unable to finish creating an account because he is being prompted for his GW1 password, which he doesn’t remember. I didn’t think it was mandatory to link the two accounts, but even if he claims not to have a GW1 account, he is told “A Guild Wars account already exists” and is only given the options of either linking the original Guild Wars account or visiting the support website. Any suggestions?

Is it possible for him to use a different email address? I think that if he purchases the game later, he’d still be able to link the accounts, and in the short term that might be a solution he could try.
