I’ve only seen him summon any minions when he’s told to by the story. Occasionally I’ll see a ghostly looking hand shoot past me as I’m fighting so I’ll turn to congratulate Trahearne on actually doing something….but its just another mob I have to kill and Trahearne is still standing there, deep in meditation. Other than that, I hardly see him doing anything other than standing in the back doing nothing. Many times I have to hold his hand, almost literally to get him to where he is supposed to be. Other times he’s dead. Now if he would just stay dead that would be great….or taken the place of another poor fellow……I miss him

Posts like these make me worry, that Arena net has to consider your plea at all, even if they don’t answer it, it’s now in their minds or part of a discussion topic.
I LOVE MY RANGER, granted a few tweaks and reworks on things, like EVERY OTHER CLASS IN THIS GAME, is needed.
People ARE just so use to the kitten cookie cutter, every WOW clone MMO, and it’s poisoning your judgement for GW2.
OP take a step back, analysis hard and really hard, try and tap into intelligence you thought you never had and really think, now if I got all that I wanted how stupidly, mind boggingly broken is my class now.
Cheers."
I don’t agree with everything that Alur said, mainly about some of the weapons but he has a very valid point about some things needing fixed. One of the things being arrow hit box. You can literally just tap left and right consecutively and dodge 90% of the arrows shot at you. I’ve done it to see if it was true and I’ve seen people do it to me in PvP. The game tries to calculate where the target will be after the arrow has been shot and tries to put the arrow there. The problem is that after the game does its calculations the target has already switched from going left to going right. The game thought the person was going to run 10meters to the left when in reality the person is in the same spot just moving left and right. Looks like they are dancing.

So when your projectile doesn’t hit them, you still deserve damage?”
When a person actually dodges or goes behind cover to get out of the way then no, no damage should be done. When the arrow is obstructed for no reason or the person is using the exploit said above, then we have a problem and yes, we deserve to still damage them.
Look people, I like this game to, but just like many other games it has its bugs. That’s fine, but when people bring the bugs up so they can be fixed or to talk about them don’t tell them they need to use their brains. They just did.
Noob question. Someone mentioned Superior Rune of Svanir. I looked it up and it says “Runes of Svanir focus onToughness and modifying the duration of the Chilled condition.”. Besides the toughness which is obvious, how does the Freeze condition help? We can’t freeze them can we. I think we have a spirit that can chill, (I think) but anyone running a spirit right now won’t survive a thief no matter what sigil they have on.
It worked for me on a few mobs not too long ago for the first time. I had no clue how I was getting vulnerability on the mobs. I was trying to look through all my abilities and never could find out. Sometimes 5 stacks then sometimes 10 stacks. It stopped after a while so I figured it wasn’t anything important. It wasn’t until after I read this thread that I figured out why I got vulnerability stacks lol. Thanks for the update =D
What happened? Combo fields rendered many of them obsolete, especially with anything related to fire.

Never had too much of a problem with this. Pet comes out from fall dmg or zoning and just hit the button to put it away again. Simple. Hasn’t really annoyed me since its just pushing a single button.
As far as the pet coming out in dungeon and immediately dying I’ve never had that happen.

Was kinda curious about this too. Also wondered if Nicholas the Traveler would make an appearance. Well, not Nicholas the Traveler, but his son’s, son’s son’s, (200 years worth of son’s) would make an appearance too.
I only find that problem with risen too. I wish the pets had some sort of agro ability, at least the tank pets.
lol @ thread and continue to agree.
I’m not a fan of Trahearne, either. Worse, he’s a pet that seems to have taken over my story. I went from “Yeah! Let’s see what the next chapter unveils!” to just going through the motions of the story for the XP.
Playing second fiddle to an asparagus, in both appearance and personality, is less than stellar.
I have to agree with you. It was alright when he first got introduced and they told me I would be seeing a bit of Trahearne throughout my story. I was thinking that would be ok, whatever. Then he was always there, always boring, always unbelievable and I was just there. I was “that guy’s friend”. I was just kinda left thinking that instead of doing the storyline maybe I will just go craft now. Oh, I’m 10 level ahead of what the storyline recommends, well ok, I’ll catch up real quick….aaaaand back to farming for crafting. Thank goodness for the awesomeness of cooking in this game. Though I think I’ll sue Anet because everytime I do cooking and discovery, (I’m around skill level 130 or so) I get very hungry and want to go fix some of those things I just crafted.
I have to agree with the OP though. I do get kinda tired of seeing undead in every single game. Maybe it’s just because I’ve only played the Sylvarian story line right now and all I’ve heard about was undead this and undead that. That being said though, I suppose people can and have said the same thing about dragons being in games – most recently Dragon Age, Dragon Age 2, Skyrim, GW2 just to name a few. Still, as long as these are woven into the games effectively and creatively it can be lived with. For instance: During one of the events in Malchor’s Leap when you are trying to beat High Priestess Dwanna and you have to force Malchor's soul back up to the statue he created. I think that is an effective way of incorporating undead into a story, not just sending hoards of undead at you that all do the same thing…especially with thatkittenfast feet and you can’t get away from them even with all your evading skills and dodges…..sorry, back on topic – If they are incorporated well in the story I can see using them.
I don’t know if this only happens to me but when I use Quick Shot to try and escape, retreat or dodge and attack about 50% of the time I just do the jumping animation and then stay right where I am and proceed to take the hit which I wanted to dodge in the first place. This happens when I am on the move or just standing still.
No problems here either. Not sure what’s wrong with your bear. Maybe he just needs a bit more TLC or believes you can handle more than you try.
The Quick Shot skill is bugged. Many times I will sit there and click the button and my character make the jump like he is going to retreat but doesn’t end up going anywhere. Not only that but he is locked in place for a second which is just enough time for him to take that hit he was trying to avoid in the first place.
