1.) If you’re going to soloQ and not take this game seriously; play unranked.

2.) It’s not that hard to get a team together honestly. If you spent half the amount of time spamming forums and put that effort into communicating in game with other players to group and coordinate Tyria would be a better place.

He has done more work than anyone else in the community and deserves it more than anyone. At the same time he is not a top tier player like the others on the list and should not be playing in an “All Stars” competition, he is a caster not a player and we do not want the casting mess that was pax.

People need to get better and have a higher sense of animations in the game. Dodging an eviscerate on an asuran is NOT hard, you just require a bit of twitch reaction & knowing what to look for.

I’d rather have everyone play asurans and have the skill cap on the game become higher, and feel faster paced.

New celestial e/e taking the skill cap of ele way down. I don’t like the new set up everyone is running. Admittedly it works pretty good, just slow sluggish play. I’d like some stunbreaks back in the cantrips so I can run zerker more viable again.

16 teams better than, 124 teams of crabs…… Some teams from TOP 40 out of tournament… What the hell?

This. I would have rather seen a 16 team computer picked system based on the leaderboard ranks.

A.) Announcing Leader boards are qualifying factor and giving teams enough time (3-4 weeks) to increase their rank.
B.) Using a system that Adds each players rank with-in a team to give a team rank.
C.) Selecting the top 16 teams with the lowest team rank for qualification.

Pretty bummed PVE, and wVw teams that aren’t even in the top 1000 have been RNG’d for this tournament.

Our team is not on the list this is just straight up frustrating. As a player that’s been in the top 15 in the NA leaders boards, invited to several tournaments. I’ve set up a team that is very capable of competing with-in the top 8 (jsu, jindavik, breakstar, haley b, spoongirl).

To not even get a chance to play in this tournament because of some roll of dice is extremely upsetting. This doesn’t seem right. wVw guild’s taking the spots of players who dedicate their nights to play spvp/tpvp.

I came back to the game and practised tpvp for 4 weeks and countless hours of communication to get a team together for this.

Regardless, blu if a team is to drop. You better be putting my team #1 on the wait list to reserve that spot.

– You know basic game mechanics / rotations / etc.

– You are available to practice on PST night time zone 3 times a week.

GW2 will get back to this level soon enough hopefully.

I want to play with-in 5 minutes. Preferably less than that with in 3 would be optimal. If our team is looking for good matches, we already know what teams around our level and we can challenge them to a scrim in a private server.

Sometimes it sucks getting matched up against the same team for hours on end. I would like to have more variety in the match making system. We would just scrim if we wanted to do things the other way.

Hi guys, I just wanted to shine some light. I had this issue a few months back. It’s to do with how your ISP connects to guild wars 2’s servers. Sometimes your ISP will connect to a multitude of servers before it reaches gw2’s server. This is an unfortunate ISP issue.

I fixed my skill lag by purchasing WTFast ( http://www.wtfast.com/ ) – I have no affiliation with this company. It fixed up my lag and actually allowed me to stream with no-ingame lag as well. Worth checking out if you take pvp seriously and your being effected by the skill lag. Free trail as well so test it out before you buy to see if it works for you as well.

As one of the few hardcore pvp’ers at this event I have to say ANet did an awesome job putting the whole thing together.

I spoke to all of the pvp developers after the event and although the community seems to think they don’t know what they’re doing. They actually do. They know the meta is crap right now and they know about all the small bugs and systematic errors and the direction they mentioned they were wanting to take it in the future sounded very promising. The developers are very smart and very analytical, I give them all mad respect.

What the community doesn’t realize is all this negativity you’re conjuring and developing on the forums doesn’t help you get more responses from devs. It’s actually hurting you, a lot. The developers don’t have time to sit there and carefully word their paragraphs in a way that doesn’t outrage the community every time. We have one of the most offensive communities I’ve seen. Oh well I guess hate is always going to be louder than love.

Well done Anet, to a successful event. The internet may think otherwise; but I know the teams personally had an amazing time and the viewers at the event did also.

I would like to see some fire trait-lines being useful and put the stun-break back in cleansing fire or lightning flash.

All they did admittedly was make ele’s skill cap much higher. We run double s/d w/ scholar runes / vital striking and might stack (25) before a mid fight. Can burst down a guardian from distance in less than 2.5 seconds.

I concur with all notes posted by the OP. This needs more attention and support by both the community & devs to help make a GW2 competitive play better.

You know, we (joO) scrimmed Absolute Legends on sky hammer. I have to say it when people aren’t running builds that abuse this map, it was incredibly fun. I’ve played it in random tourney queue’s and it’s just annoying facing 4 engi, 1 gaurd teams.

Is the patch today?

I have to agree with this whole power creep. I play D/D ele and use to be literally unstoppable in 1v1’s even after the nerfs. After the last patch everything else seems to have come up and above in power and I can barely 1v1 hot join plyaers. I know my skill level hasn’t come down and everyone else’s couldn’t have come up. Not that much.

It says rewards to pvp skins… nothing about specifically NEW skins coming.

We do a lot of different strat testing and team comp testing to try and find which works out best with our players hence why we require a diversified player.

Here’s the thing:
Valkyrie gear usually works better in this build than berserker, because you’ll have enough critical chance with fury and a precision sigil, and valkyrie offers better defensive stats for an elementalist. Valkyrie amulet with berserker jewel seem to be the most popular combo for this build.

Runes of Divinity or Scholar are usually better. All divinity’s stats are useful to an elementalist, while still offering excellent critical damage; and if you know how to play around it, scholar’s +10% damage is big.

You can maybe consider switching Mist Form for the new Arcane Shield. It’s defensively a bit weaker (not always noticeable), but it deals good damage, and should you spec Arcane Mastery trait in arcana (over renewing stamina), you’ll also be able to spec it more often than mist form. But Mist Form is still good in that slot.

I don’t think any adept/ master trait in fire is worth it, imo.

I disagree w/ the call in using Valkyrie. Your health will be 11k vs 14k. With the meta being so condi heavy that’s not exactly the best move.

Playing this spec, valk or beserk you have to have a playstyle of kill them before they kill me anyway, better to stick with Berserker IMO.

Divinity is a good call for runes. I would take the 10 out of fire and put that back into arcana for evasive arcana. Evasive arcana is just to good; you can use it for condi clears or offensive depending on your attunment.

Also; since you are so squishy. I would swap out arcane blast with lightning flash. You can use lightning flash for a range of things; offensive; defensive, but most of all an oh crap button to get you out of there and have you team mates peel for you. Other than that; looks good.

Shss…, don’t ruin the most fun I’ve had with ele since release.

I’ve been playing a gs/staff phantasm build in the mid fight battles. It puts crap ton of damage and has mad utilities. Moa, Illusion of Life, Portal Play. It really comes down to the player / team comp, but no way is phantasm mesmer useless.

Wish I could sign up for this.

You’ve got no condi removal outside cleansing wave?

Nope; glass a fk. Primary object is to go in burst 10-16k worth to dps and get out. Churning, lightning flash in, hit 6-9k get back out. Don’t over extend, don’t fight in cc’s / condi areas. Not your typical ele build. Crap melts though, especially if people are grouped up the aoe is crazy. The reasoning for soldiers vs beserk is so you don’t get burst in 1-2 shots. Gives you enough to take a few hits, get out and reset.

Great fun to play in hot joins & tournaments if you dare. You’ll need a team who can peel for you though. Give it a shot, watch ppl melt.

I had no problems until a patch about a month or so ago. Now I can NOT play my ele unless I use a service called WTFast. I think it’s just certain networks are messed w/ anet’s servers. I would attunement swap and it would take 1-1.5 seconds before it happened. So annoying.

Good group of players here. Lots of potential.

Oh and a replay option. JK, but perhaps in the future.

Thank you for releasing spectator mode last month; we did see some more options come through the with last patch. I also do have some requests for viewing that I find are essential in analyzing a players skill / intentions.

1.) Bellow the team scores / nodes. We can see the spectator’s targeted enemy. Included in this should be an HP bar, condis/boons, Class (click-able for build view), endurance, etc.

2.) Mouse view. New players learn from experienced players, spectator mode is helping them to do that. With-out being able to see the mouse movements ground targeting skills are very hard to follow. This leaves new players confused on how to improve / play well. It’s the small techniques that new players are trying to learn, not builds etc. This would greatly help with that.

These are two things that are already available in the game; just not in spectator mode. It would be really helpful for shout casters and new players if you were to add these items in the spec mode.
