In my opinion, the armor is ugly in GW2

I have to say I prefer gw1 high level armors over gw2’s thus far. They just seemed sleeker and had better looking sets whereas gw2 seems to be trying too hard to be flashy or just looks too plain or random, but to be fair most of the armor I have been previewing in gw2 has been on a charr and armor looks horrendously awful on charr.

I noticed too how many groups are now finding ways to simply avoid or run past content mostly because huge chunks of various dungeons simply aren’t that fun. Instead they are just a pain or annoyance on the way to tokens. It’s like traffic on your way to work…people will find all sorts of ways and paths to avoid it.

They are fun in a sense that no run is really the same and they are fairly dynamic with a ton of paths to learn and play through.

They are not fun due to:
-some of the mechanics involved that are unavoidable or unfair or favor certain playstyles/professions
-the fact that trash is sometimes more difficult than bosses
-the last boss in a dungeon isn’t always the hardest or most challenging
-some mobs/bosses have lame mechanics that have a high chance to OHKO you even if you are skilled/diligent
-several paths basically require a certain group makeup or at least make things way way more doable with certain boons and skills
-everything is usually complete chaos especially in pugs where people just zerg stuff (they need a better balance between controlled chaos and the new trinity)
-in premade groups gimmicks are often used to skip content or “cheese” through more tedious/difficult encounters probably because playing them the right way isn’t really that fun in the first place
-some mobs/bosses just take way too long to kill and aren’t interesting/difficult…there are some bosses where you can literally stand there and autoattack but it takes literally 5 minutes before you kill it and you’re left wondering why did they even bother making this boss take so long to kill when you can just autoattack it to death WHATS THE POINT?

Dungeon Etiquette

These experiences are fairly common and I had an experience early on when I was still learning the dungeons. I joined a group that stated they were doing all 3 paths and that alone gave me a hint that it would probably be an elitist group. Once I was in I saw that 4/5 were from the same guild and I was the only pug, but I went with it anyway because I knew I could probably get through it pretty quick with a 4/5premade. They preceded to literally sprint through the dungeon running past just about everything only stopping to do the “important” bosses to complete each path. Luckily, I am one of those players who can keep up pretty easily even with them sprinting through and so I did and we finished the dungeons pretty quick. I didn’t say a word through the entire thing and I was a bit surprised though that most of the content could be skipped and I thought to myself….if this was any other pug who couldn’t keep up like myself, they would be getting kicked or yelled at constantly. In path 3 exactly that happened. One of their guildies had to bail and they invited another pug who was nowhere near as experienced or quick and he was berated and spat on and the party disbanded.

Level 80 Player's Problems With the Undead (Orr/Risen) Zones

Not really a big fan of Orr either for most of the OP’s reasons. It feels like they ran out of time and just stuffed the zone full of risen and similar terrain features. As annoying as it is though, a few of the DE chains are actually quite fun and epic.

Black Lion Chests?

Here’s the solution, either:

-change them into better versions of the white goodie bags you get from killing mobs that you can open without a key or

-if they are going to require a key to open, make the items in the chests more worthwhile like fine or rarer crafting materials or other good stuff

I found more of the underwater combat to be less enjoyable than land combat for the most part. I just always seem to feel weaker underwater and I don’t know if it’s because they want us to feel that way because we are often fighting fish who live underwater and they want to make it more realistic. This story mission was definitely annoying and took me a few tries, but was not impossible as I did it a while back. Taking it slow and pulling carefully is the only way that worked for me and when it came time for the shark….I pretty much just kited, stunned, dodged, healed and did everything I could to avoid it while dealing damage. I was also a warrior who stacked toughness and had “tanky” skills which I’m sure made things easier compared to some caster who was running around as a glass cannon.

R.I.P. Drop Rate

in Crafting

I don’t think the drop rates are the biggest problem, but rather the amount of blue crafting materials required at each tier. The first tier always requires 3 which isn’t that bad, but then the next tier requires 8 of each more than double! It needs to be lower or at least 1 and 2 at lower level tiers and maybe 3 and 5 at higher tiers.

8 proffesions in 1 character, or 2 per character...?

I think it comes down to cost vs. time. It will cost more to level up all crafts on one character, but I guess you could argue it’s more convenient to not have to switch to another character to craft stuff. It takes more time to level crafts on various characters especially just having to level each character itself on top of the crafts.

So how are u liking the class?

I’m enjoying it quite a bit overall. I feel durable in pve with a good amount of toughness/vitality and the ability to switch to a shield when needed. I don’t feel like I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve in difficult situations because the warrior is a pretty straightforward profession which is fair enough. In pvp I feel strong when frenzy is available to use and pretty weak when it’s on cooldown. If frenzy and my other utility skills are on CD, I feel like the best option is often switching to a shield or kiting until my skills are ready again. I feel like some of the weapon sets are underwhelming and borderline useless as well as a couple of the skills. Traits overall feel fine, but there are a few useless ones in there as well.
