Doesn’t look like much effort to add this while it’s really useful
Would be nice to have alliances back
As the main towns are pretty dead (compared to the original guildwars), why don’t we bring together servers in the main towns? Something like an overflow server, I don’t know if it’s possible to increase the cap of the towns tho.
But think about it, this way PvE will get more teamwork (party’s and stuff) and you can also add a LFG-system as you’ve in GW1.
Lovely, thanks for the reply!
As the title says, a marker you can place on the map that will shown up on the minimap to make navigation easier. Ofcourse you should be able to delete the marker too.
I agree that the skill system of this game at the moment is very boring.
Eh, why? It’s nice as an area for GW1 players only, small but cute little detail.
Yeah this is true, But let’s be faqir, how often do you actually visit the HoM… Personally I’ve been there about 5 times since the game launched, it would be nice to see it restored to it’s former glory and to have a reason to visit it.
End of the day, only GW1 players will ahve access to the NPC’s special items. Which is kinda the whole point of the link. Though it would be nice for those who didn’t have GW1 to have access to it!
Are you saying people who don’t have GW1 should have access to the items that GW1 players unlocked?
Making HoM a guildhall is a stupid idea in my opinion. And next time choose a decent title.
Am I the only one missing them? :P
Agreed. It’s ridiculous this hasn’t been implemented yet.
I just found out I accidentally posted this in Lore instead of Personal Story.
Hey guys
So I just finished the story and wanted to give you some detailed feedback about what I loved (and didn’t love) about the story quests. It’s kind of hard to decide where to start so I’m just going to make a list
What I LIKE about the story quests:
- Ofcourse the fact that you can make decisions in it.
- That other people can help you with your story, whether they have the same one or not.
- The cinematics, I like them more than the dialogues.
- The lore, I played GW1 aswell and I always liked the lore of it.
- The music, you chose the right songs for the right parts. (Maybe when playing Fear Not This Night at the end make sure you can only hear the music, it’s such a lovely song with great emotions in it)
- The bosses and dragons and stuff, all of them looked badass, loved it.
- The green icon that was used in GW1 too, it may sound crazy but I just love that icon.
What (in my opinion) could easily be improved:
- Okay, now I played the story. Imagine I loved one of the quests so much that I want to play it again…
- The option to read the dialogue you just watched again.
- The story has nothing to do with pvp, so why not bring the different worlds together with a LFG system or something similiar. If you want to play your story with strangers you basicly spend up searching an hour and then give up.
What I HATE about the story quests:
- The end. It was such a long and boring quest. You guys design this awesome dragon that has snakes coming out of its mouth and stuff. I was like sweet, this is going to be awesome. Then I end up spamming skill 2 on a stupid cannon with some epic music on the background. I was really kitten ed off because of this (and all the other quests where you just have to spam a skill, really really boring unless there’s something cool to watch whilst doing it. You’ve to be really carefull with this). Also, it was a quest where 5 people were needed. I played GW1 alot, there we had to put a teambuild together in order to kill Abaddon or something. Here it was just wait untill you’ve a party of 5 members and go, kind of disappointing… The previous bosses in the last quest were kind of boring too, throwing flaming orbs to a boss the whole time without dodging or anything, etc…)
In short lines:
Lovely, but there a few things that in my eyes really need to be improved/added (teamwork, LFG-system, no spamming parts unless there’s an awesome show going on).
Yes, they should defintly improve the guild system, and also add capes, which I miss from gw1 so much :c
I also find it really annoying that you’ve to override the guild message. For example when you’ve your teamspeak info in there it’s really annoying to type the whole info everytime you change the announcement.
It would be awesome that after we killed for example The Shatterer we would receive a miniature of it! Maybe this is too easy to get him as a mini, but I’d do anything for it!
Thanks for your answer! I know they got work enough atm hehe, was just curious if they announced anything about it.
I do think they should find a way to get towns and area’s more crowded, maybe by mergin some servers if that’s possible..
Did they tell anything about these two? I’d love to get guild capes back, they were a great way of showing the guild emblem! And I do realise alliances aren’t necessary as there is no limit anymore on the guild but I’d still love alliances!
Yes, I would like Alliances to come back.
This sounds like a great title for me!
Yes, I like this idea. Or atleast show the announcements every 15 minutes in chat, because alot of the guildmembers forget or are too lazy to read them.
I don’t think that will fix the problems, in the contrary, it’d cause more trouble if you ask me
Just switch the members to the best guild? :p
I still have this problem, anyone got a solution?
I was going to suggest this later, but what the heck, I propose this time instead of individual presents per character, give one big present on the day that your account became active. Reason being: PvPers and others will inevitibly want to re-make characters a few times, since level is not important to them. Also, in GW1 it led to keeping old characters solely for the slowww birthday present farm they had become. I’d like to be able to delete characters as and when I like without feeling like I’m being punished for it. One excellent present per year on the day you started playing GW2 would be amazing imo.
Either way it’d be nice to know from Anet what they plan for this
Ye, maybe a present each year on the day you started playing is a better idea. I let that be decided by ANet lol.
Like in Guild Wars 1, a birthday present every time your character gets a year older
(I don’t know if you thought of this since GW2 isn’t a year old yet, but just to make sure!)
Yes, the waypoints are overused. I like the idea of a boat or something similiar .
I think they should just increase the server cap instead of putting us in another server.
Guild town clothes sound pretty good, ye!
I like the wiggle lol, tabards I don’t like. Just something that makes it easy to say two guys are from the same guild without looking at the guild tag.
In Guild Wars 1, guild capes were a great way to represent and honor your guild. They also looked kinda sexy, depending on the designer lol. So I’m suggesting to bring guild capes back, it’s also something original from GW.
When I choose Windowed Fullscreen Mode I just get the windowed mode, anyone know how to solve this?
GW2 sound stopped and there came this sound that fade in and out the whole time. I did some research and some mentioned restoring your sound options to default, didn’t work. I asked my guild and one of them had the same problem and just told me to restart GW2, and that obviously solved the problem. First time I have this bug tho
EDIT: I was in WvW when this happened

I like GW2, but yes, it’s different from GW1. Those who want a game similiar to GW1, why? GW1 is still up and running.
I think the title should get a little more visible. You can barely see it and I worked my kitten off to get GWAMM lol
