There is literally nothing offensive about it.

Ok, so this happened a while back when my only character was my main character, Stealthy Britches. Someone apparently misread the name or thought I meant to use it as a swear word. I posted on the forums explaining that was not my intention, I happen to like the word britches, I think it’s very cute. You can check my forum post history, it’s probably still there. Anet agreed that yes, it was acceptable to use the word britches in my name, and I was allowed to keep it.

Since then I made more characters and named two more with britches in the name because that’s how I came to be referred to by members of my guild and my server community, it became sort of my identity. I logged in today and I’m being forced to rename all three characters? For what? Using a legitimate word? I get censoring obvious inappropriate names but this is pretty ridiculous and upsetting to me.

Please let me know what I have to do to be able to keep my names.

Also, most of our players have other guilds, and we only ask that you rep during OCX times. We understand occasional commitments to other guilds.

If you’re interested in FA, send me a message (or Trick Trick Trick in game, he’s my commander). I have my own OCX guild but there are 2 or 3 other OCX guilds on FA that may also suit your style, as well as a decent SEA presence. We’re typically in a good position on FA during OCX, the numbers are usually even or not too far off, so it makes it a lot of fun.

I should warn you though, FA likes open field fighting, so you may find a lot of commanders that will chose to stay in a fight than respond to an objective at times. If defending and scouting is your thing, the top 3 servers will be a lot less frustrating for you. Not that they need more people…

[DKP] is a “new” OCX guild in FA. In reality, we are the re-formed [NV] oceanic players. We reformed so that we can be a more focused, tight-knit group.

We are semi-serious, which means we are always striving to work on our builds, play style, and open-field fights to get better, but we don’t rage. We’re relaxed and like to have fun, and we’re like a family.

Trick Trick Trick is our main commander, he has tons of experience and is a lot of fun to follow. We currently have about 30 members, almost all of them active. Raids have been about 15 players. We won’t be havoc sized for long, but for the near future we plan to keep the guild to about 50 or so members.

We are currently in need of some good dedicated eles, our old ones are having some issues with being able to play regularly. We are also looking for warriors, guards, and maybe a really good thief. If you run another class and are still interested in joining, we’re more than happy to talk to you and see if you’re a good fit, we always welcome good players. We may be able to help with transfer costs.

We use the community TS on occassion, but we also have our own TS server. You don’t have to have a mic (thought it is especially helpful as an ele) but we ask that you be able to join the channel and listen.

There’s no age limit, but most of our players are 18+ and I have no intention of moderating the language or vulgarity of our guild. I’m probably one of the worst offenders.

Yeah what started out as frustration due to pug badness, actually became quite fun and some of us gave up trying to push you out and used this as a mass skirmish exercise too.

In order for CD to be competitive in a lot of match ups a lot of us have to burn out with long hours and then the fallout is in the following matchup. Sorry to FA and EB for this one. In the burnout matches we still get some numbers but they are usually only pugs not organised guild runs…at least in my timezone anyway.

Neither myself nor any member of my guild ( [NV] for those who didnt’t pick that up from the earlier parts of this conversation) has done any chest thumping in this match-up. You may be mad about things that people on my server have said and from what I can tell, a good portion of that is pure trolling. I have no doubt Ebay and CD have guilds better than ours, the problem is we wouldnt know which ones they are because we haven’t seen any around in Oceanic to fight.

This is coming from the guild who gave up on our garrison with 6:1 numbers last night after attempting the following:

• Attempt 1: One Omega Golem on NE gate.
• Attempt 2: One Alpha Golem on NE gate.

Seriously, “brainless” would be a compliment. You guys are terrible.

You should probably know that we’re not trying terribly hard. No offense, but we don’t need the PPT and we’re just looking for something to do. We knew there was too much siege so we just took out trebs and hoped you’d jump down to fight us. You’ll know we mean business on your garri when you see 5-10 guild catas.

Also, 6:1 odds mean nothing if you’re behind fortified walls and a kitten-ton of siege. You didn’t fight us off, you siege creeped. Big difference.

Hey, I haven’t heard anyone complain about how many people we have. You guys should totally tell us to have less people. It will probably cause our WvW server population to not show up to WvW.

Wow, way to overcome the odds

SBI said the exact same thing in our last match with you guys, “FA is losing” or “gonna lose” and we all know what happened. FA are typically slow starters on reset night but once we get rolling, nothing can stop us.

I suggest you don’t “count your chickens………..” because we all know FA is going to destroy SBI again in week 7. Gratz on 2nd place

If we get second, so be it. It’s not like winning is a grand accomplishment.
It all comes down to playing a fun game-mode with friends and others who you enjoy playing with, playing on a server that fits yours needs in WvW. “Winning” comes down to which server has more people and better coverage, nothing more, nothing less. No need for rubbing it in, or claiming skill priority, because it’s irrelevant.
Any server can proclaim they will destroy another but it doesn’t mean they are any better skill-wise. Across all servers, I’m pretty sure the average mean skill level is pretty equal when you factor in everyone who plays WvW. It would be nearly impossible to prove skill-wise who is better.
For instance, this week with FA facing Ehmry Bay and CD. I can guarantee that FA has a lot more skilled players than Ehmry Bay and CD.
I can also guarantee that FA has a lot more poor players than Ehmry Bay and CD. Where the concentration of these players is at any given time is a toss-up. Sometimes you’ll come across a skilled group, sometimes you’ll come across [Core]. Lol had to throw that in for the ‘drama’. <3 [Core]
As for the FA/SBI matchup in a few weeks. It’ll probably go down the same way.
We’ll be fairly even in NA and Oceanic time. Dragonbrand will hurt our PPT during Sea where I think we have slightly superior coverage, and FA will dominate in EU time because of coverage. At some point, similar to the last matchup, the result will become inevitable due to FA high PPT during euro time, and less SBI will login midweek, and FA will pull ahead to a seemingly rather large victory.
If you want to ‘chest-thump’ over something so easily predictable, then go ahead I suppose. Anybody can join the winning team if they want, it only costs a few gold or gems. This isn’t like real sports or real competitions where there are rules in place to create somewhat even playing fields for the competitors.
It just makes you look silly when you gloat over something so uneven. If for whatever reason SBI manages to beat FA in week 7, it’ll only be because of coverage. If that does happen by whatever miracle, I would hope my server mates don’t proclaim it to be some great accomplishment of skill.
Any boasts of one servers superiority over another is just “we have more people than you”. And that unfortunately, isn’t very boast-worthy.
When/if GVG’s get introduced, that’ll be the time certain guilds can boast, and even then, it’s not relevant to who wins WvW matches.

Did someone just make total sense in a matchup thread? I don’t think I’ve ever seen this….

All trolling aside…

BP and NSP… we don’t want this matchup either. It’s boring as kitten. I know, it seems like we blob everywhere, but the problem is our large WvW population isn’t going to just stop logging in. We log in every day just hoping to god you’ve managed to muster up enough people to take something or fight us. We don’t PvE and we’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time PvPing with each other and we’re not even halfway through this matchup. WvW is what we do. For as boring as it is, it’s hard to not want to.

OCX has been so awful that last night we sieged up a tree with a ram and defended it. We then ran naked for the rest of the night and had suicide games off of SMC for like an hour. The PPT is nothing for us to brag about. We’re not trying for it, and we get why you aren’t trying for it at this point either.

On a side note, the few times I’ve roamed with smaller groups and ran into similar number from either BP and NSP, I have to say you put a good fight on the whole. Solid builds and skill. Obviously our really small-man abilities leave something to be desired, as [Holy] and [Os] saw with the 3-5 man GvGs with [NV] the other night.

If there are any groups during OCX or SEA that want to GvG us, whisper me or Trick Trick Trick. We’ll match your numbers and hopefully give you something more fun to do than try to sneak a measly 50-100 PPT away from the mega-zergs.

Good fights BP was impressed on the group that fielded today on your BL. My advise to you, not trying to be a kitten, just have a scout or two around the proximity of your group while in WvW, it will help you greatly from getting side swiped and what not.

Also, I can 100% assure you that we never fielded 80 people today in one group. We had approx 45 people active on the teamspeak with an additional 15 militia. WE were big, but never did we go over 60 people. Good fights guys, thanks for the fun.

I understand that BP and NSP are probably incredibly frustrated right now, FA definitely has numbers on you, numbers that are used to weeks of fighting outmanned against T1, so yes, this week is going to suck. However, most of FA has a lot of respect for those of you that are still willing to come out and fight. You’re in the position that we were in for so long, we know it can suck. There’s no need to lash out at someone who is honestly just trying to be friendly and helpful.

Further more SBI may want to look at their gear/builds as a whole. They also may want to not be so stationary. Not moving and getting jumped on by us is not helping you.

None of these hints will help you against FA of course. We are still going to faceroll you in the open field, but it may help you against some of these other servers.

They do have a good showing, but I wonder how it will be when their NA’s can’t put in as much time over night as they are on the weekend. Same goes for ours too. But, I do remember in that match up with FA a few weeks back, Mag and SBI were eating FA’s BL for lunch during the day.

I hate to break it to you, but FA’s good showing has nothing to do with our NA taking the overnight shift. We have amazing oceanic organization right now, and our numbers are picking up because of it.

Clearly the twenty-five thousand point lead we currently have is a fluke. Totally impossible with our poor play. Clearly a redress for the other servers is required.

Please understand we’ve been getting rolled by 100,000-200,000 point leads against the T1 servers, and you’re running very similar coverage. You should be ashamed that you’re not farther ahead. That being said, FA could give a kitten about PPT. We haven’t played PPT in a very long time. The few guilds that care have made their exits and we’re literally going to get stronger because of it. It’s weeding out the fair weathers. The FA that are left are out for blood.

One important lesson learned this matchup: if JQ “roamers” don’t run away from you in a fair fight, that probably means they have a zerg on the way.

If you think JQ zergs are big, you will be shocked by what SOR and BG run.
They make JQ zergs look tiny.
I really wish people would stop complaining about zergs and just adapt and fight.
I know it’s not always fun to come up against double or triple your numbers, but realize that JQ has been doing this for months. It’s not fun for us either, but it’s better than blowing out two other servers. That is just no fun at all.

I’m sorry, maybe I’m reading this wrong, but are you under the impression that you are currently NOT blowing out both FA and SoS? FA did adapt to the zergs, we decided to be ok with karma training instead of defending because defending against zergs of 2 and 3 times our numbers only lasts for so long and when you take our towers and keeps in the end its demoralizing. So we said that’s fine, let them take it, we’ll karma train and still have fun. Not this week. JQ has been humping every tower they own, we can’t take anything back (at least during ocx, NA is probably a little different). At least BG and SoR let us karma train.

Also, last time we met, I would agree that JQ had smaller zergs than BG and SoR, but you guys recruited hardcore for the leagues and I’d say you’re on par with them now. Again, this is speaking strictly from an ocx point of view though.

<3 to the SoS on FABL that we let cap Briar and then cheered for. We honestly are rooting for you because anything you can take from JQ is good news for us.

FA talks all this smack about how bad every TC player is…but every time I’ve been roaming solo or in small groups (as I prefer, with like 2-5), every FA group has ran.

Last night me and a guardian in my guild came upon 2 thieves…I hit them with a Magic Bullet once and they started to run…we had to chase those guys down. I’m not saying all FA people run, but at least the ones I’ve seen roaming around TCBL were last night. FA, every match you make excuses and talk smack about TC…yet so far I have seen you guys zerg ball just as much as run from silly situations (such as the guild group from FA (I’m not going to call out the guild) who ran to one of our keep gates, got hit by 2 arrow carts and high tailed it back…then came back like 4 times only to run from 6 people, with 2 ACs).

And yes, I play for ppt, but also for kills. I prefer to not have wooden keeps, and make sure enemies get as few WP’s as possible That way, I can KILL more! And they can’t jut easily WP away from me

It was 6v20 or so, and we had a wooden keep. If you cant take out 2 ACs that are sitting on top of a wall…something is wrong. I was basically just saying that you guys act all tough, but you ran from a wooden keep being defended by 2 pieces of (admittingly) poorly placed siege…I didn’t even get focus pulled off the cart Though a few necros did try to put some marks on the walls…

If you were referring to [HAMR] (as we did do this a few times last night) it would be because, we all run hammers. Can’t do much against ACs with hammers. We’re a guild made of several FA guilds meant to be fun, buold the community and hammer smash everything in our way. So come down from the towers and get plowed by our giant hammers plz thx.

Oh, I remember this. You guys kept hunting down our commander. It’s like you had a tracking device (spies? how silly of me, you’ll never admit to that) on him because no matter where he went you knew exactly where that was and bypassed everything else just to get to us. So since we couldn’t take anything we just decided to hole up in that little hut.

If you’re looking for a fun but challenging Oceanic guild, NV is pretty much it. Since FA often has a smaller Oceanic force than our opponents we have to work smarter to get things accomplished sometimes (or just throw 10 guild catas at it). There’s also never a week that’s too easy or too hard for us, we’re out there every match.

I don’t actually have to play Oceanic times, I choose to because FA’s Oceanic is the kittens. We’re friendly, we’re always in TS, and we’re pretty much always having fun.

If you’re worried about transfer costs we should be able to help you out. We’re welcoming all classes right now. If you want to PM someone about us and Trick isn’t on just PM me on this account (IGN: Stealthy Britchess), I’m on quite a bit.

SoS may not have the numbers FA does, but it has been a long time since I have seen a server fight so hard for something. It took me hours to take Lake from you guys on FABL, and you STILL kept coming at us.

Yo, can JQ just pick on TC for a little bit? We can’t keep ANYTHING.

Not only is it nice to have JQ in the matchup, but this is on e of the classiest and funniest matchup threads I’ve ever seen. I know it’s early in the week, but I hope this keeps up.

[TI] is a very small guild on FA whose members have mostly forgotten about the game at this point. However, myself and another person are on almost every day. We are very friendly and always willing to help out. We do just about everything from all the dungeons to fractals, to map completion to WvW. Personally I mostly WvW these days but I’m willing to do other PvE activities.

We finally have enough influence to start guild missions, we just haven’t yet because all of our members dropped off. Our schedule changes a lot as well, so we’re not looking for any specific time slot.

We’re a good guild if you’re just looking to get to know people to play with in the game, and we welcome any newbies. I don’t mind questions and will gladly walk you through things the best that I can. We would prefer that you be on FA since I run WvW alot, and I can’t run WvW with you if you’re on a different server.
